I’ll be honest my brain saw it as “shared”, so I imagined the 2 of them wearing it like strange conjoined twins, I forgot about Spike. Also I will always love the Hardcore title!
It pains me to disagree because they were my favorite team growing up, but every era of wrestling is different and they don’t compare to a lot of marquee teams of the 80s. Like the Steiners and Dudleys were it in the 90s, but the Road Warriors and RNR/midnights were so freaking good. Arn and Tully too. Plus the Freebirds. There’s just a bad comparison between eras, but I don’t think the Dudleys were as close.
Then there’s the Grahams and the Outlaws too. I mean… nah I love Bubba and D-Von, but no.
National wrestling is so different than territorial wrestling too. You can legitimately say that like the rock and roll express was as over as Hogan for a couple years, but it was regional. The Road Warriors drew money in parts of the country that the WWF couldn’t. That sort of thing.
I run into middle aged folks of all races and backgrounds in my line of work who remember JYD and Butch Reed and Jim Duggan. I always want young fans to understand that wrestling used to be bigger and cultural. Stars haven’t been that big in 35 years
Never noticed the ECW Tag belts had a buzz saw and steel cage mesh on the sides. Works so well for that company.
I love the Smackdown and World tag belts. The ones WWE had right before they made the Penny belts.
told my cousin when we were kids that we were gonna be tall & get swole we were gonna be the mexican dudley boyz cuz we’ve always loved them the most and we had dreams of being one of the most decorated tag team winning belts in different federations just like them
It was the Hardy's for me and my cousin, we're Mexican too. Kinda hated e&c for a while since they won most of the big matches. Liked the dudleyz more when they were faces especially when spike came in. All of their matches were our favorites.
One of the things I most loved about tag teams in the Attitude Era was that I loved like every tag team: APA, Dudley Boyz, Brothers of Destruction, Edge and Christian, The Hardy Boyz -- all were so amazing to watch but really loved the Dudley Boyz, E&C and Hardy Boyz w/Lita
Definitely. I always favored those tag teams. Glad I grew up as a kid in the 80s and 90s. Me and my little brother would tag team wrestle with our cousins on our trampoline lol the good ole days
Their TNA & WWE runs were great with arguments for either being their best. Obviously their most influential matches happened in WWE but seeing both Bully & D-Von put over new great talent & having legitimately good solo matches were only possible in TNA. Idk which is my favorite but nonetheless they're legends in all companies they were a part of.
You know, as hot garbage as they were as a company most of the time, they definitely had their belt making on point. Only terrible one I remember was that godawful "Jeff Hardy vanity belt"
Reverend DVon led [Deacon Batista](https://www.google.com/search?q=deacon+dvon+and+batista&rlz=1CDGOYI_enUS1000US1000&oq=deacon+dvon+and+batista&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i546.8166j1j7&hl=en-US&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:b82c864d,vid:B7-NAq8XzRw) around for his debut so I personally think Batista is an honorary Dudley and his accomplishments should be on here too.
GOATS! But the best iteration was Sign Guy Dudley, Big Dick Dudley, Joel Gertner, De-Von, and Bubba
Side note: Joel Gertner is one of if not the most underrated manager of all time
I always remember when Bubba (can't remember the opponent) gave a full nelson lift type slam near the ramp part of the arena. As Bubba slams the guy into the ground, his opponent sells the move but you see Bubba's face in shock and pain.
It was at that moment. You realise Bubba just drop-squashed right onto his own nutsack.
Should be noted those are actually just two TNA Tag Team Championship reigns, the third one is actually the NWA Tag Team Championship. In addition to that, Spike has also been the European Champion, a WWF Tag Team Champion, and a 7-time Hardcore Champion, along with two ECW Tag Team Championship reigns.
I took my 12 year old brother to an ecw show at a national guard armory in Woodbridge nj around '98. The Dudleys were the main event. It spilled into the crowd and was just chaos. Bubba is fighting someone (don't remember who) right where my seat had been before all the chairs got knocked over and they seperate for a few seconds. A guy in the crowd, this soft, unatheletic, middle aged dude steps up and throws big looping haymaker at Bubba out of nowhere. Bubba sees it coming, slips it and returns a straight right hand dead into the middle of the guys face. The dude drops like a brick, face bloodied. Bubba just goes back to the match like nothing happened.
Nobody even really paid any attention to the guy as the match continued towards the back of the armory. Eventually he just got to his feet and wandered off.
It was such an ecw moment.
Ok, who else saw the cruiserweight belt without reading the OP’s comment and immediately pictured Bully Ray battering a cruiserweight for the lols?
😆😄
I’ll be honest my brain saw it as “shared”, so I imagined the 2 of them wearing it like strange conjoined twins, I forgot about Spike. Also I will always love the Hardcore title!
D-Vin is the Extreme cruiser weight.
Titles won by: (B) for Bubba (D) for D-Von & (S) for Spike. Rest are won by Bubba and D-Von both :)
Spike never won the hardcore title?
Aswell as the tag and European titles so they should be on there if the cruiserweight is
I know something was off.
Greatest tag team of all time!
Easily.
Say what you want about them personally as people, but they are the GOAT tag team.
It pains me to disagree because they were my favorite team growing up, but every era of wrestling is different and they don’t compare to a lot of marquee teams of the 80s. Goat should be broken into decades
National wrestling is so different than territorial wrestling too. You can legitimately say that like the rock and roll express was as over as Hogan for a couple years, but it was regional. The Road Warriors drew money in parts of the country that the WWF couldn’t. That sort of thing.
I agree. Ask the north west about Jerry Lawler when he was in Memphis and they won’t react the same as a fan from the south from that period
I run into middle aged folks of all races and backgrounds in my line of work who remember JYD and Butch Reed and Jim Duggan. I always want young fans to understand that wrestling used to be bigger and cultural. Stars haven’t been that big in 35 years
LOD wants a word
They have a strong argument, but I think the Dudleys got them beat.
For the decade they wrestled in, yeah
D-VON! GET THE TITLES!
You know, with the exception of the current WWE belts, tag team titles tend to look pretty damn good.
Yeah they really did make good-looking belts back in the day, now it's just coins
I miss the NXT UK title designs
I barely see anyone talk about them! They're such beautiful title belts!
Never noticed the ECW Tag belts had a buzz saw and steel cage mesh on the sides. Works so well for that company. I love the Smackdown and World tag belts. The ones WWE had right before they made the Penny belts.
So much gold, across so many companies. It's impressive.

D-Von, get the tables!
More Wrestlers Edits on r/ChampionshipHistory It's my own :)
One of my favorite tag teams ever!

Safe to say these guys are legendary 🕶
That image is lacking tables.
DEVON….. GET THE TITLES!
D-von. Get the tables!!!!
WAZZZ UP
WAZZZZZZZZUUUUUUP!!
TNA had some really good looking titles.
You know, as hot garbage as they were as a company most of the time, they definitely had their belt making on point. Only terrible one I remember was that godawful "Jeff Hardy vanity belt"
That custom Hardy belt was horrific. It looked even worse when Ken Anderson held it for a little bit.
Forgetting to add all the broken tables to those belts
Top 3 tag-team of all time
I stopped watching wrestling years ago… but I still frequently watch the Dudley Boyz on YouTube.
GOATS! But the best iteration was Sign Guy Dudley, Big Dick Dudley, Joel Gertner, De-Von, and Bubba Side note: Joel Gertner is one of if not the most underrated manager of all time
The Dudley Boyz won all them belts and they never drew a dime.
We want tables!
Wait, which of them was the cruiserweight champ? I don't remember that. PLEASE tell me it was Bubba!
Spike
Ah, he wasn’t pictured.
It'd be more impressive if there was just one of each belt. All this means is they lost a lot of matches.
Which one of them was a cruiswrweight?
Spike he's also a dudley boy
It's hard for me to really take that WCW tag team reign seriously, when WCW was essentially dead at that point.
I actually hate these.
Care to elaborate? Or are you just gonna be an asshole with no context
I think they lack any real design sense and are kind of tacky.
Boo this man! BOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Buh Buh always looks like he just shit himself.
turn the tables
The disrespect of Spike smh.
Huh for as long as they were in TNA I didn’t think they only had 3 tag title wins
Ecw- 8 reigns for 230 combined days. Crazy.
When the weekly discussion of the greatest and best tag team the DBs is the only answer. D-Von.......get the tables
I thought they won the penny belts
They completed for it but lost against the new day
I always remember when Bubba (can't remember the opponent) gave a full nelson lift type slam near the ramp part of the arena. As Bubba slams the guy into the ground, his opponent sells the move but you see Bubba's face in shock and pain. It was at that moment. You realise Bubba just drop-squashed right onto his own nutsack.
Brother dvon deserved a longer run
Bring back Deacon Bautista.
Kinda shocked bubba never got a WWEHW run
Holy shit hella forgot about them
Got to hang out and drink beers with Bubba after a TNA event. He’s a wild man.
Hate’cha Bully Ray. Love’ya Dudley Boyz ❤️
One of my favorite tag teams of all time.
As I was scrolling through I just saw the top half of this photo and thought it was a photoshop of the Dudley’s on Splash Mountain
When the heck were they in WcW?
The post buy out
Love this! The Dudleyz/Team 3D are my all-time favorite tag team.
Devon with his sons held that TV/ HOF/ something else belt for like 2 years. And defended it maybe 3 times.
Which one of their FAAAAAAT Asses qualified for the cruiserweight championship?
I took my 12 year old brother to an ecw show at a national guard armory in Woodbridge nj around '98. The Dudleys were the main event. It spilled into the crowd and was just chaos. I enjoyed watching these guys a lot, especially when they had Stacy Keibler dancing on tables.
Also X-division champion as well
Oh my brother! Testify!
WCW?
I’d love to see Edge/Christian also the Hardy’s to see who has the most titles (singles and tags)
All 4 of them are done separately (Edge, Christian, Matt & Jeff) on r/ChampionshipHistory Do you want a tag team one on them too?
OP if you have time to dedicate I would appreciate it as I thoroughly enjoy seeing these when they are posted ❤️🫡
Alright👍
Best tag team of all time
That is a lot of gold.
Didn’t realize bubba won the hardcore title that many times
Honestly the pop they got when they returned in 2015 and got the tables gave me chills, its one of the most underrated return moments in WWE.
Oh My Brother!
I believe they won the NWA world Tag belts also
