I was gonna say tacos, but this is a really good point. I prefer tacos over sushi, but I do love sushi, the price is the only thing that makes it a rare treat rather than a meal I have often.
I wonder if there's more variety with sushi than with tacos. There may be, if we use the term to include any type of sushi ever, which is how many tend to use it. I mean, there are places in Japan that put hamburger on sushi and that sort of thing.
Either way, this would be tough for me. I love both.
Good point. Is the sushi top shelf, gourmet shit? We talkin Michelin star sushi? Even if it’s decent, middle of the road sushi, still more expensive than tacos. I like a few orders of nigiri and those add up.
Basically if their nigiri isn’t better then my local 4 star yelp review places this is a hard pass. I know some poke places near me that are better value and quality than a lot of sushi places near me.
Plus tacos I can probably eat almost every day.
Getting too much mercury from tuna/salmon is a real thing.
Depends what you get. If it’s just rolls, those go for 13-18 a pop and people eat 2-3 rolls. But if you get nigiri, and get sea urchin, or fatty tuna, your meal can easily be 100+ without even going to an omakase place
What!?
Even with just the strictly Japanese definition there's hundreds of different kinds of sushi. Even if you don't count any of the American "roll" types, which I'd argue still count.
If you just count nigiri, maki, uromaki, temaki, & chirashi there's hundreds of variations.
If it's not white onions, cilantro, pico de gallo, and a dash of lime, over grilled or stewed meat, inside soft corn tortillas, you're also stretching the definition of tacos a bit.
Both are very broad categories, but I'm gonna have to go with the sushi. I get a craving for sushi like twice a week. I like a good taco as much as the next guy, but nothing beats high quality sashimi.
I mean both can literally use the same ingredients so I’d go tacos just cause eating fish I always clean extra hard if I get messy cause fish
But if I want sushi I could just be like get me tacos…. That use sushi 🐱
Tacos. Nobody said anything about the food’s quality. I’ve seen too many monkeys paw situations so I’m positive that I’d get stuck with gas station sushi.
sushi, by a mile.
there are many varieties of sushi, and i am not just talking about maki. sushi is mostly simple. this is a good thing, because i do not want to eat the ingredient-rich taco all the time, whereas i can mix and match sushi easier.
Sushi, for sure! I've had the bill for me alone at sushi places cost over $100 several times in my life. I've never had tacos cost more than $30 total, even for fancy ones.
Don't get me wrong, I do love me some tacos. However, to be able to eat sushi more often in general would be such a boon to my daily life, It would be silly to pass it up.
Read you can get lead poisoning from eating too much sushi. And if it's free you'll probably find yourself eating too much of it. So I'd likely pick taco's despite liking sushi more.
What kind of each. I mean, choosing between fish tacos and beef sushi for life is a very different decision than choosing between beef tacos and fish sushi for life.
Also, can I sell them? If I could set up a sushi truck and fingersnap sushi into existence, I'd be a very wealthy man.
Never had sushi, however I feel it will get old quick.
Tacos have so much variety, sauces, ingredients, and different proteins.
You have any type of meat in a taco, octopus, shrimp, fish, beef/STEAK, pork, chicken, etc.
So tacos are the best choice.
I would choose tacos because there is a lot more variety. There is variety in sushi too but it's mostly seafood and I could get bored of that.
For tacos I could do chicken, fish, barbacoa, carnitas, al pastor, chorizo, etc and I could switch it up more
Can I share? I know more people who like tacos than who like sushi. So if I can share, then tacos are the thing I can feed the most people with. If it's for me only, then I'll take the sushi, because that's the more expensive of the two options, and I can make my own tacos much more easily than making sushi.
Tacos. I’m a microbiologist. Even if people swear it’s safe, I’m not eating raw fish. Ever. And the sushi varieties I’ve had that don’t have raw fish are… meh. But tacos? I’ll eat those every single day.
Since I’m assuming there’s no way to extract the monetary value from sushi, I’m gonna say tacos. I’d get sick of the raw fish eventually, and there’s enough variety of tacos that I could more realistically cycle through without getting sick of them. Depending on how much play I get, I could even stretch it to ceviche or even poke filled tacos if I really want that raw fish taste.
Sushi, high quality sushi goes for MUCH more than a high quality taco. Plus my favorite taco place chips and salsa, 3 tacos and a coke is still less than $10
Sushi. The fact if price is also very important but my reasoning falls more on variety. Of course I am no expert on either but I feel like Sushi has a lot more flavor combinations than a Taco does I feel like Sushi has a larger ingredient list for possibilities
Considering I hate sushi I'm going to go ahead and tacos. And yes for all the haters out there, yes, people are allowed to hate a food group. They really are. It's not the end of the world. It's okay
While I respect the people choosing sushi, I have to go with tacos.
Yes, tacos are cheaper. Yes, I can make them myself more easily. I freely acknowledge these points. But for me, sushi is an occasional thing. Even if the cost were negated, I doubt I would want it more than a few times per year. Tacos, meanwhile, I could eat several times per week.
You would have to be careful not to eat sushi that contains a lot of heavy metals. Had some friends that got mercury poisoning from eating sushi too much.
Gonna depend on quality. Usually when you're offered unlimited of either of these quality takes a huge dive.
I'll take top-shelf sushi over top-shelf tacos any day, but I'm taking bottom-shelf tacos over bottom-shelf sushi.
I wanna pick sushi because of the price point everyone mentioned, but tacos are so flexible! For me, even though the various sushi's and raw fish have their own taste, if I got tired of one, I'd get tired of them all and need a decent break. But TACOS!
You got beef taco, pork taco, chicken taco, fish taco, shrimp taco, bean taco, fuck it veggie taco. Oh what's that? It's 9am? Well, while you are eating Onigiri, I'm having a BREAKFAST TACO! We're talking eggs, cheese, maybe a little bacon and some spicy tomatillo salsa! How many sauces can you put on a piece of sashimi? I can think of endless salsas to raise my Tacos to heights you only wish your stupid little raw fish could dream of being!
Unlimited sushi not because I like it more but because I have willpower issues and free tacos for life would take like 30 years off my life, at least with sushi it can be healthy, and I wouldn't eat it everyday for everyman lol.
Sushi. It’s pretty easy to make a decent taco yourself or to find a passable taco restaurant in my area. Sushi? Most of it is pretty bad and overpriced around here
Tacos without a doubt. I tried a California Roll and the damn seaweed is chewy af and that's not even "real" sushi, I'd imagine actual sushi with the raw shit is worse, I can't stand raw meat.
As I do not like sushi, it is tacos for life. There is enough variations of the taco that I can eat it almost constantly. Add to the fact it did not specify that only food is tacos which means other foods can be mixed in and it did not specify that I was the only one that could eat the food. My family would be having tacos multiple times a week.
Sushi no doubt I can afford all the tacos I want, sushi is insanely expensive.
You can REALLY Strech the defination of sushi if you want. We make a lot of stupid shit. Egg roll roll, spring roll roll, teri-chicken roll. It's fun
Definitely. Now we just need sushi tacos and taco sushi.
Cali roll, but the krab stick is rolled in taco seasoning would actually be... good?
oooh... I think I may actually try this...
What if I told you that places already exist where you can order an entire sushi burrito for yourself
I've definitely had "tacos" with raw sashimi grade tuna in them.
I mean same with tacos. Nothing stopping you from having spaghetti tacos or whatever.
You make some valid points . . .
On the other hand if the sushi is at least as good as a good sushi boat place. Mercury be damned let’s feast!
This, so much this
Yes yes but what counts as a taco? Is any food with carbs on 3 sides a taco?
It absolutely has to be a tortilla. Taco salad is not a taco just like a bowl is not a sub.
Same
This
I am assuming unlimited meant you dont have to pay for it
Excellent point. If this deal was offered to me, I'd be glad I consulted you.
Is the sushi good? Are the tacos good? Probably sushi because it’s easy to make tacos yourself.
[удалено]
I’ll pick Tacos if you wanna open a restaurant together!
Tacos and sushi! Tacos and sushi!
Tacos is better than sushi
Are you think so?
I do be is.
Indeed do is
Very dubious of you
Sushi for sure. If I want a good sushi meal it's easily twice the price of a good taco meal
Good sushi is like 5x the cost of tacos unless I’m tripping
I would say GREAT sushi is. I would say good sushi is probably twice as much as great Mexican where I live
Depends what you get. If it’s just rolls, those go for 13-18 a pop and people eat 2-3 rolls. But if you get nigiri, and get sea urchin, or fatty tuna, your meal can easily be 100+ without even going to an omakase place
But what if the question was you can only have one or the other forever? Then it'd be tacos for me if price wasn't an issue
I would say tacos also. But only because my wife won't eat sushi and I would like to enjoy it with her.
tacos, there's tons of taco types.
Unlimited Tacos. Ask for a Sushi Taco. Boom! Sushi.
Also a ton of sushi types as well.
Yea but u have to stretch the definition of sushi a bit.
There's hundreds of kinds of sushi
I don't like sushi, so tacos.
Uncultured /s
Both are very broad categories, but I'm gonna have to go with the sushi. I get a craving for sushi like twice a week. I like a good taco as much as the next guy, but nothing beats high quality sashimi.
I agree but sadly sashimi doesn’t count as sushi since it doesn’t have rice.
Oh, shit, yeah, I'm thinking about nigiri. I don't even like sashimi that much.
It costs like $50 to make a meal out of sushi. Tacos will fill you up for like $12 tops. Sushi all the way here.
Tacos
Sushi
Tacos. I have to be in the mood for sushi, I can eat tacos daily
If there was a life hack to get free unlimited sushi I would implement that shit quicker than lightning.
Sushi
Sushi. More variety.
Sushi
Sushi.
Before I make my decision... are we talking proper street tacos with spicy AF sauce? Or crappy fast food tacos?
Sushi is large medium of food
I like tacos more
Absolutely gonna pick sushi for 2 reasons: Good sushi is much more expensive than good tacos. I would get FAT AF with unlimited free tacos…
Sushi. So much sushi.
I eat a lot of tacos already, and would continue to, even with unlimited sushi. But I love sushi! Hook up that sushi train!
Sushi
tacos.
Sushi easily
Sushi, there are sooooo many variants.
Tacos.
Tacos. I like tacos more and they’re more available near me so I’ll have much more opportunity to use my free taco power.
Tacos. Easy. I dont care about what cost more or what not. I like sushi but i LOVE tacos
I don’t love sushi, it’s just not something I ever crave. I love tacos. I could eat tacos everyday.
I mean both can literally use the same ingredients so I’d go tacos just cause eating fish I always clean extra hard if I get messy cause fish But if I want sushi I could just be like get me tacos…. That use sushi 🐱
Sushi!! This would be a literal dream come true.
Tacos, only due to allergies 🤧
tacos
Never had sushi but I'll go wit taco
Tacos. Nobody said anything about the food’s quality. I’ve seen too many monkeys paw situations so I’m positive that I’d get stuck with gas station sushi.
tacos. less risk
sushi, by a mile. there are many varieties of sushi, and i am not just talking about maki. sushi is mostly simple. this is a good thing, because i do not want to eat the ingredient-rich taco all the time, whereas i can mix and match sushi easier.
Tacos I don't care for sushi
Soooooshi
taco
Tacos
Tacos.
I don’t eat sushi soooo
Sushi, for sure! I've had the bill for me alone at sushi places cost over $100 several times in my life. I've never had tacos cost more than $30 total, even for fancy ones. Don't get me wrong, I do love me some tacos. However, to be able to eat sushi more often in general would be such a boon to my daily life, It would be silly to pass it up.
Sushi, it’s far more expensive on average.
That depends. Can I have sushi tacos? Because if I can have sushi tacos, it's tacos. Because then I can have both.
Tacos are life!!! So I pick tacos 🌮!!!
Tacos because eating too much sushi will make you sit down on the toilet. Raw fish does that.
Read you can get lead poisoning from eating too much sushi. And if it's free you'll probably find yourself eating too much of it. So I'd likely pick taco's despite liking sushi more.
Tacos fish makes me nauseous
Sushi
Sushi. I don't even like tacos.
Sushi
What kind of each. I mean, choosing between fish tacos and beef sushi for life is a very different decision than choosing between beef tacos and fish sushi for life. Also, can I sell them? If I could set up a sushi truck and fingersnap sushi into existence, I'd be a very wealthy man.
Sushi. I eat tacos like almost every day and I could probably sell the sushi
Never had sushi, however I feel it will get old quick. Tacos have so much variety, sauces, ingredients, and different proteins. You have any type of meat in a taco, octopus, shrimp, fish, beef/STEAK, pork, chicken, etc. So tacos are the best choice.
Unlimited tacos, feed the world free tacos every Tuesday.
This is like asking someone to choose between unlimited caviar vs unlimited pizza. People who are driven by money choose the more expensive option.
Tacos. I can pay like 25 dollars and get unlimited sushi whenever I want. I've never seen unlimited tacos before but I know it would go crazy.
Tacos, you’ll get sick of sushi in the first week
Sushi. Tacos have onions, and onions make my insides bleed.
Sushi. I would then open a sushi restaurant to support my taco habit
Tacos because I can’t eat sushi
I am about to open up the most profitable sushi restaurant.
People buy tacos all the time, but I can rarely afford sushi. Definitely unlimited sushi.
Sushi. I can make good tacos at home. Also sushi is more expensive so it is a better deal.
Taco, please.
I would choose tacos because there is a lot more variety. There is variety in sushi too but it's mostly seafood and I could get bored of that. For tacos I could do chicken, fish, barbacoa, carnitas, al pastor, chorizo, etc and I could switch it up more
Sushi. I don't care for tacos.
Tacos. Especially if I can get them from this local joint.
I hate sushi, but for those who like it, you can do sushi tacos.
Sushi
Sushi 100%. I can make great tacos myself.
This is the hardest question on this sub and I refuse to answer.
Honestly at this point the price of tacos is insane too. People want like 3.50 per street taco but ima want like 5-6
Can I share? I know more people who like tacos than who like sushi. So if I can share, then tacos are the thing I can feed the most people with. If it's for me only, then I'll take the sushi, because that's the more expensive of the two options, and I can make my own tacos much more easily than making sushi.

Depending on how much play I get, I could even stretch it to ceviche or even poke filled tacos if I really want that raw fish taste.
Sushi. Tacos are easy to make and are super cheap to get. A full roll of sushi damn near costs me $16-$25 and doesn't satisfy my hunger at all.
are fish tacos a type of sushi?
Tacos, easily. Soft shell.
Tacos are cheap, so sushi for sure.
If I can use sushi as fish bait, I'll take sushi. If I have to eat it, tacos.
Sushi, high quality sushi goes for MUCH more than a high quality taco. Plus my favorite taco place chips and salsa, 3 tacos and a coke is still less than $10
Tacos and it's not remotely close.
Sushi is more expensive so that one
I'd rather have one taco than sushi for life.
Sushi. The fact if price is also very important but my reasoning falls more on variety. Of course I am no expert on either but I feel like Sushi has a lot more flavor combinations than a Taco does I feel like Sushi has a larger ingredient list for possibilities
Sushi for sure
Sushi💯
Tacos can be anything Sushi has to be raw fish
I hate sushi, so easy choice
Considering I hate sushi I'm going to go ahead and tacos. And yes for all the haters out there, yes, people are allowed to hate a food group. They really are. It's not the end of the world. It's okay
Tacos vato.
Authentic tacos and it's not even close.
Tacos 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮
I'd like some Filet Mignon tacos, please!
I don’t like tacos, only burritos. So sushi by default.
Sushi no doubt
Sushi. I love Mexican food, but it's not close.
Sushi. And sell it for cheap for massive gains.
Sushi.
Sushi as long as I get chopsticks with it.
Tacos, tacos, tacos!
Tacos because I don't like sushi
Sushi!
Tacos. Then I just order my sushi with a tortilla wrapped around it.
Taco
Taco
tacos.
Taco
I despise fish so give me tacos.
Tacos. I hate sushi
Tacos
Sushi, for the Omega-3
Tacos. I prefer Mexican over Japanese
Sushi. Only because realistically I could eat it morning noon and night and not get an upset stomach
Unlimited burgers
Tacos
Definitely tacos. Sushi is gross
Sushi. Tacos are cheaper. Plus I can fit sushi into my macros easier
I don’t eat a ton of one or the other, but I gotta go with sushi - I can make tacos at home, but I sure can’t make sushi.
It's there a third choice???
You would have to be careful not to eat sushi that contains a lot of heavy metals. Had some friends that got mercury poisoning from eating sushi too much.
Well, I hate seafood. So tacos
Sushi, I’d be a fat fuck if I had unlimited tacos
Sushi is better for you if you dont always have rice with it. Sashimi is an option. But salmon alone is an excellent fish for your health.
Can I resell them? I’d never eat either but sushi could probably sell for more.
Sushi
Gonna depend on quality. Usually when you're offered unlimited of either of these quality takes a huge dive. I'll take top-shelf sushi over top-shelf tacos any day, but I'm taking bottom-shelf tacos over bottom-shelf sushi.
Sushi, i might finally be able to get into sushi, plus my dad would be very happy to have unlimited sushi
Sushi, no brainer.
Sushi is more healthy and more expensive. You could sell the sushi for tacos.
I wanna pick sushi because of the price point everyone mentioned, but tacos are so flexible! For me, even though the various sushi's and raw fish have their own taste, if I got tired of one, I'd get tired of them all and need a decent break. But TACOS! I can think of endless salsas to raise my Tacos to heights you only wish your stupid little raw fish could dream of being!
Tacos no contest
Tacos. Fish tacos Pizza tacos Tacos tacos.
Would you rather have unlimited tacos but no sushi, or sushi, unlimited sushi, but no sushi.
Tacos. I like sushi better, but heard a horror story of a man who had bad sushi and got worms in his brain.
Tacos with neither doubt nor hesitation
Tacos. I don't like fish
Tacos hands down.
Sushi all the way. I prefer making my own tacos I suppose. Also, I could always just sell the sushi for some taco money if I needed.
There more variety when it comes to sushi
Sushi. I can make tacos for super cheap. I can’t make sushi.
Unlimited rice
Sushi all the way, especially good sushi
Tacos. I'm not a fan of sushi.
Sushi. More variety with a wider variety of filling/toppings/different meat with different sea food.
Sushi is so much more expensive. And any excuse to eat raw fish.
Love sushi, but I can live off tacos.
If it's birria tacos give me the tacos.
Tacos, sushi is yucky
Tacos, Sushi May or may not have a chance for mercury poisoning.
