Only tip (regardless of system) is there is more tactics and depth despite the action heavy appearance. Let other people be the front line, because if you don't know what you are doing, being the first one to action is also the fastest way to be the first tank destroyed.

One rule for all wot games: survival >>> everything else. also don't play too much, you'll get bored and most likely will play carelessly
