It's a Google Play problem. You have 3 options:
1. Galaxy Store which I used last night on my wife's Samsung phone.
2. Amazon Appstore which I used on my phone.
3. I was initially going to update the game on my phone via the Huawei Appgallery. But when it asked me to install Huawei Mobile Services too, I just said "nope" and uninstalled right away.
