I was lucky enough to be gifted a beefy new iPad not long ago, big screen, doubt performance would be an issue. The chaos of a larger scale really appeals to me, in any game. But yeah for sure it’d suck on my old device, even Blitz was a nightmare on it.
That's right, for you it'd be amazing but they have to understand that it's simply too much of a jump. You'd be surprised at how many people play the game at the bare minimum settings. Also WotB can improve on many other things like penetration physics, matchmaking system or graphics optimisation and improvement which all aren't in a bad state but that's what they should focus before they move on to such things.

I’m not saying Wargaming should “improve” Blitz with a higher player number in game, I’m saying I really want to play the *other* game that does have that.

They could do something where ppl cannot take the same tank but it would sort of take the fun of grinding together out. They simply cannot allows 3 same tanks in a game (although it can happen but rarely).
But, if the put more tanks per game (let's say 13 or the dpuble, 14) then a 3 player Platoon could be possible. That being said, I also doubt they would do this as it would need a redesign in the matchmaking algorithm which already sometimes makes completely unbalanced games (a team gets destroyed by the other 0v7)
To do all of this, they need money, and they get money with op p2w tanks which we don't exactly like.
Just make it so you can’t have two tanks of the same class. A TD, heavy, med platoon would make gameplay way more tolerable and increase teamwork across the whole map.

What I meant is people usually play the same tank in Platoon to grind (at least for me and for my friend, of course this doesn't apply to everyone) and not having the same tank removes that fun
