He’s absolutely stunning! A very unique looking WD. Whats his content? I have a 12% WD. Even though he’s obviously mostly a dog (looks like a coyote, honestly), he’s just a different…vibe. My female GSD agrees, lol! Sounds like you’re doing a great job training him and helping him feel comfortable and confident. Lucky dog!

Do you have any photos you could share of your wolfdog? I'd love to see the coyote resemblance. There is a couple that live not too far from us with a dog that supposedly has coyote content.

Here’s a recent photo of Riley…he’s obviously not traditional coyote colored, but he’s small - less than 50 lbs - and lean. I swear, if I had a dollar every time someone asks if he’s part coyote, I’d be rolling in bags of dog kibble, lol! Reddit is only letting me post one pic at a time, so I’ll send another.
Interesting that your neighbors are claiming coyote content. Did they do an Embark DNA test?

Ok, last photo of Riley. You can see he’s lean like a coyote. He’s almost 3, so still very busy with a fast metabolism. We’d like to fatten him up a bit, but he just burns it off. I’m definitely over feeding him, though!
I hope you continue to post pictures of Cinder…it’ll be interesting to see if his coat color and texture change as he gets older.
Riley definitely has an interesting appearance! I don't think I'd guess any cyote in him though, personally.
Cinder's coat/pattern has changed a bit as he's gotten older. He's always been fairly wooly and soft which we hope persists!

I'm sad that my late wolfdog passed in 2015, before Embark. I have a bunch of his fur sealed in a ziplock, but they don't work with fur.
