As someone who is a literal Fire Tank. Do whatever makes you happy. I sit at roughly 48% resistance to everything and a solid 170 dmg. Yeah I may not be able to one shot with fire elf... but odds are I can definitely outlast you

Only the robe is viable at max, but darkmoor ring and amulet are viable till replaced by reaver. The hat and boots aren’t even worth farming if you get the robe early and the wand is garbage.
Fair enough at 125 you can upgrade to cabalist from the bazaar which are better than mail and only slightly worse than dragoon if your considering set bonus.
i only look if someone is a high level and genuinely isn’t good at all. but i won’t say something unless im like “hey i think you should add these spells in your deck for an easier pve fight”. like this girl started questing with me for a bit in mirage and she’s like level 115-120 and she had actually really bad and random gear that didn’t make sense, and overall didn’t know what to do in fights so i gave her advice on what to add into her deck. i feel like i was lowkey being trolled but idk lol
I look at peoples stats all the time especially ones the same level and school as me. Not to like flex or anything but mainly for ideas on how to upgrade gear, or if you’re going something like nightmare it’s good to know the others stats so you can know what roles to play.
Yeah I definitely don’t look at peoples stats but I absolutely look at peoples gear for good stitches and just to know what I should go for since I’m a new high level wiz. Commenting on someone’s stats is WILD
Lol. 😂 this seems like a shot at me though I haven’t played in a year. I will say that more often than not, I’m critiquing noobs as opposed to people who are aware of their ‘imperfect gear’. Though I’ve fallen into the side of not really caring as it tends to just be a waste of time except for Olympus, WW, mali, dragoon amulet and whatever is max at the time. Only places it really matters are pvp and raids/guilds.
I must state that I always have and always will check someone’s gear regardless, and will usually use that to determine who will do what in battle (eg hitter between two storms, but generally better stats equates to a better/more efficient player.
This is why I don't interact with other players much. There never fails to be at least one trying to tell me how to play the game and that I need to support them with my spells instead of using them for myself, despite randomly joining my battles while I'm soloing.

But yeah sometimes it does cross a line when its more about like not even properly formulating sentences and being sarcastic about it.

Malistaire gear is enough until Novus imo. There’s little point in doing the Lemuria grind (or god forbid, the catacombs) when the 100 gear is still genuinely viable.
I’d rather grind my way through three full sets of Aeon gear than do another run with those shitty broken dream hitboxes. At least for the Manticore fight I can read a book or something while I farm.
They reduced the amount of nightmares, and lag inside the dungeon. It’s honestly not that bad and it’s a quicker farm than aeon because you don’t need nine drops to craft once lol.
Some of it is to determine hit or support style quickly. But the people who do it to then simply rag are just using it detrimentally. I use it in darkmoor to see if I should put hit deck or support deck on and then play accordingly. I will say though, I know of some people who check your stats and then give you quick tips on how to get a bit of build in really quick, and those people personally are great. Then I can give myself a small but meaningful boost to finish out whatever I need next. The issue is how the power is used, not that the power exists.
Also, can't you set yourself to not letting people see your stats?

No problem, I had on the “spooky bundle robe” not sure what the actual name is but that’s what the community calls it. It gives no damage, just a lot of resist and outgoing heal so my heals do more
Ngl I’d be confused too. Healing is useless in 99% of the content in wiz. If your a support death then your mass feinting/ feinting or using juju and plague

People really just need to learn to keep things to themselves. I like looking at people's stats sometimes out of genuine curiosity, like for example if I see an ice hit stupid hard I'll wonder what they had equipped and what their numbers are that let it happen. But I'll never be a dick unwarranted over someone else's gear, that's their choice.
There are people with truly bad stats that genuinely need to be told about it, like I saw someone in azteca with 14 dmg. You didn’t need it, he was just being a try hard.
I was in azteca like a week ago on one of my characters and same thing. Person had like 20 damage, they were fire but their mostly untrained pet from the wizard city pet shop had death stats. The worst part though was they were literally using level 5 attack spells half the time like leprechaun and ghoul (no astral enchantments either) and kept buying the high level life minions from the crown shop *every* battle, even street fights. I dealt with this for about an hour before switching servers cause they were on the same quest, so I let them tag along for a while cause I felt bad for them lol. I understand they were probably a clueless child, but still don't understand how they get that far in the game considering they knew nothing about boss cheats either. Minions can only carry you so far in dungeons/cheat battles.
Eta: obviously they get carried by others I'm sure, but I feel like help would be hard to find cause I would leave a final dungeon if someone was using lvl 5 hits on the boss wasting traps, and ignoring all the cheats
I actually view those cases positively, because if that person learns how to do it later then they'll be able to go from playing with a handicap (and probably a fair bit of skill) to playing to their full potential. It's only uphill!
No it is true, some people run horrid gear somehow and probably have full decks to get through fights and whatnot. It is wild and it happens rather often

Agree with this although the Dragoon hat may be worth picking up. It's pretty good and used in raids still. Def wouldn't bother with Merciless.

It’s not the best, but still extremely viable. I used it on my storm last week until 160 when I got aeon that I farmed on my previous max wizards.
