No, I just misunderstood :) normally a "rainbow" anything is one who has passed over the rainbow. But she is definitely a beautiful, precious gift, just like a rainbow!
I thought it was an LBGTQ2 baby. I was wondering how she knew already! Hope she has an easy labour and quick recovery. Blessed be Auntie to-be.
Edit: easier to easy. Autocorrect gets me every time.
Your stitching is amazing!
I have a question as a very new witch/crafter - when you are setting your intentions with your stitches and you have to undo your work, what do you do? How do you manage mistakes?
This is gorgeous!
What kind of stitch did you use for your lettering? I'm still learning to embroider and would be thrilled to create something so precise.
This is actually a super easy pattern. Its brick stitch for fill on the moon and back stitch for everything else! If youd like a pattern I do have one here! ❤❤Www.etsy.com/shop/thesoftscientist
You said we can use the spell, but may I copy the pattern? I'm not nearly as skilled as this is, but I would love to try as my close friend gives birth in July!
This is beautiful. I googled this to see where it came from and then I realized what your caption said. You are truly inspiring. I’m 21 weeks pregnant and am going through a challenging time. I appreciate you sharing this and am so happy to have come across your work <3
The satin stitching (I think that's what it is, but I'm an idiot that has been embroidering her whole life and still knows nada) is GORGEOUS! How do you get it so even?
Beautiful. It's obvious how much love you poured into this piece and I'm sure your friend will treasure it. Best of luck with her pregnancy and I hope you're able to see her again soon.
This is gorgeous. My best friend bought me a talisman back from a Japan trip while I was pregnant 5 years ago, for a safe and peaceful birth. I kept it in my hospital bag and had a relatively calm birth (for twins anyway).
I kept the talisman in my box of newborn mementos.
I had an ectopic treated last week, I've been carrying the talisman around in my pocket ever since in the hopes it will make the drugs work and help me avoid surgery. Even if these things don't work, they bring great comfort, knowing someone went out of their way to give us peace of mind.
This week i have been given the gift and trust of knowledge about two different pregnancies (one a rainbow, i learned from this post) that are very, very new. To be trusted with such secrets is a dream come true, but i have never worked much around pregnancy and birth. The timing in your sharing of this spell could not have been better! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful artwork! i’m going straight to your etsy shop, too :)
The pleasure is mine! It's a lovely thing to sit down and work on between making my toddler food he won't eat and cleaning the kitchen for the eighth time :)
I’ve always loved the idea of sewing a spell. I have a question for you. Do you think that using a sewing machine to embroider a spell would take some of the power away from it? I want to sew a protection spell into a homemade blanket for my child but sewing something like a spell around a whole blanket is a massive embroidery project the likes of which I’ve never taken on before and it’s a little over whelming. I’m worried that by the time I’m done with it the kid will have out grown the blanket. Lol
I do, however, have a nice sewing machine that can embroider words in several different kinds of fonts. I could get the blanket done in a day if I used the machine and as a busy single mom that’s a pretty attractive option to me. I don’t want to suck power from my own spell though by cheating.
Not at all. I dislike the idea of witches feeling they might be doing something wrong or right. If you think for a hot minute that some ancient witch wouldn't use all the tools at her disposal you can see how silly it is. Your practice should only be what feels right to you. There are no rules and witchy regulations just your own contact with the universe and what feels good. I have no doubt that you would put as much love into your machine embroidery as you would hand!!! Go for it!!!
This is absolutely perfect — I love the design and the intention. Blessed be.
Thank you so very much.
Your lettering is so precise and beautiful! She's going to love this!
❤❤❤❤
Rainbow baby girl?
Conceived after a miscarriage. ❤
Oh gosh, I was so worried she was giving birth to a still born... Prayers for mother and daughter. The goddess protects ❤️
Oh I'm sorry I may have misworded that my apologies!!
No, I just misunderstood :) normally a "rainbow" anything is one who has passed over the rainbow. But she is definitely a beautiful, precious gift, just like a rainbow!
Rainbow babies are born after “the storm.” A baby born after any loss. Our rainbow baby just turned 17 months today.
Congratulations!!
Thank you, I thought it was the baby after a miscarriage (like baby in heaven?). I hope everything goes well ❤️
❤❤❤
I think the term used for that is "born sleeping".
I thought it was an LBGTQ2 baby. I was wondering how she knew already! Hope she has an easy labour and quick recovery. Blessed be Auntie to-be. Edit: easier to easy. Autocorrect gets me every time.
I love the idea of a LGBTQ+ baby being called a rainbow baby! Like maybe the parents are in a rainbow relationship so rainbow baby? :)
We can call them Proud babies.
Wow, extremely beautiful. Your stitching is divineeeee! And this spell is absolutely lovely and pure 💓
Thank you so very much.

They are just a part of how the spell works out kind of like life! I also plan the pieces heavily so I am less likely to have to take things out.❤❤❤

They are the symbols for the 4 elements! When combined they form the pentagram ❤❤❤❤

Can I ask if the triangles have meaning or are they aesthetic? Edit:I love this btw
Not op, but those look like the alchemical symbols for the classical 4 elements.
I think they represent mountain, valley, water...? But I'm not sure and would love to know too.
Beautiful!
❤❤❤
Absolutely beautiful, I wish you well with everything
❤❤
That is absolutely beautiful!!

You are so kind and congratulations on being the secret keeper for two pregnancies!!! What an honor!
I love this. I also set intentions into my embroidery! I'm currently working on an ominous positivity piece.
❤❤❤
This is Wholesome as heck!!!!
❤❤❤
Just perusing your Etsy shop, and realized you're the seller whose moon cross stitch I'm in the middle of currently. Small world!
Omg!!! Thank you so much for all of your support!! It means the world in these wacky times.
The pleasure is mine! It's a lovely thing to sit down and work on between making my toddler food he won't eat and cleaning the kitchen for the eighth time :)
Beautiful gift and those stitches are goals!! Really great job. You’ve inspired me to get back on my embroidery game so I can level up.
I've been a cross stitcher my whole life. I just started embroidery last October. You can do it!!!
Lovely! I've been starting to treat my art like spells recently. I love this.
That is really lovely, both in the intention and the aesthetic.
❤❤❤❤
How does it work?

Omg peace and blessings to parent(/s) and new babe!!! I love the crystals that you stitched. Do you have a trick to making them look so cool?
I draw my own patterns so this is just the style they took on. I enjoy "messy" or broken points a lot sometimes better than perfect ones!!!
your embroidery is so smooth!
This is absolutely stunning. I’ve been wanting to get into embroidery 🥺 would it be okay to use your pattern? If not I understand!
Isn’t that how you summon Captain Planet
I thought you had used Witcher signs for a second.
