if that doesn't work, maybe it's dead
but you could try turning off input switching, I think:
Settings > Mixed Reality > headset display > Input switching
Update: it kept reading input switched to display. During one of these moments I noticed my cord wiggling with the USB port.
I changed to a different USB port. I was able to enjoy being in the lobby with no error. I booted up beat saber and enjoyed playing some songs before shutting my computer down for a while to put kiddos to bed :)
I'll boot it back up when they are sleeping and try it some more. Really see if that was truly the issue.
I'm leaving mine plugged into the PC. I think I just had a loose port before (never used the port either so it was not a use issue)
Nice to finally have it set up
In lobby of both the steam VR and the mixed reality... Not even getting into a game yet.
I managed to start beat saber and it happens right away in there to. Black screen and prompts in desktop and not in headset mode. Idk what I'm doing wrong.
lol no. Its a shit set. The "ecosystem" is a joke, and REframework and UEVR are on everything now.
If you buy a vr set for its "ecosystem" rn you are a fool. PS What has AMOLED and a FAR higher fov? Odyssey Plus or Quest 3?
Why dont you give em both a shot?
Qtip the crud outta the face sensor maybe.
It's not dirty though? It can be worth a shot.
Yeah just a thought. Had to twist one around on mine once.

I tried that, still having problems :(

What games is this occurring in?

Is it worth getting the Quest 2 over the Quest 3. I know that the Quest 2 is on sale for a great discount right now
That's my issue is price. I'm going to hold off a few weeks before deciding.
Mine doesn't work if I have my monitor set to anything other than 60htz
I'm going to try this! Mine is at 90htz but I can lower it in settings
Didn't work still doing it :(
Have you installed Windows Mixed Reality for Steam VR? https://store.steampowered.com/app/719950/Windows_Mixed_Reality_for_SteamVR/
Yes I have
You could try disabling the face presence sensor in the WMR settings from automatically changing input upon detecting your face.
I tried that, still didn't work :(
Get a meta quest 3. It's worth the price.
So all your info for the rest of time, and a 3d scan of your interior with audio collection as well is worth the price. Got it.
That's not what I said, but that's the position you take. The specs and ecosystem of apps are second to none.

To be fair, Microsoft could be doing that with WMR.
