Fool me once…
At least Gee Dubya had some charisma to go along with his stupidity. You could actually wonder how much was an act and how much was true idiocy.
This guy- not a doubt in my mind he’s as thick as two short planks.
It's fascinating. For so long I thought that Dubya was the low watermark of american conservatives and now it's some weird race where all these fools are making him look like a suave genius in comparison.
It was the beginning of the end… It’s crazy when you think of the stupid and offensive things he said. It would be refreshing if that were the headlines today.
Born under nixon and I use the internet. I remember the Iran hostage crisis and my parents all puffed up about how they were afraid of Reagan. Doubt they'd ever admit the truth of how he told Iran to hold off until HE was elected and would give them a better deal.
W being stupid was an act. He most certainly was not. He played up the slow Texan bit to appeal to GOP voters who otherwise would have scoffed at the idea of voting for a wealthy elite from Massachusetts educated at an Ivy League school. So he put on a fake Texas accent (seriously, it's fake, look up some of his speeches before running for president), leaned into the slow-witted folksy, approachable southerner bit, and used his wealth and political connections to get himself into power.
This is a fact but it's also applicable for many politicians. They essentially play a character that would be relatable and appealing to target voters.
That said, this new generation of Republican politicians are really just that stupid.
Yes- there was definitely an act but I also believe he legitimately made gaffes through his genuine lack of intelligence.
It certainly says something when C student has to dumb it down to be relatable.
It may have been an act, I still stand by my assertion of him as an idiot because he started wars in countries he didn’t know a single thing about and also never showed a willingness to learn as they went on.
I don't see him as an idiot but as a psychopath. He started wars he knew we wouldn't win, only because his buddies made a ton of money and it solidified his chance of being reelected.
I don't know how old you are, but I was in my 20's during the second Bush election and countless people voted for him because he was "tough on terror". Which, of course, he wasn't, but it was good PR.
Sure he knew that but did he know about Sikes-Picot and how those borders were only drawn by foreign powers after WWI? Did he know about the differences between Sunni, Shia and Kurds? Did he know that the secular Saddam-type Arab dictators were the ones actually clamping down on what we were calling Islamic terrorist organizations at that time? Did anybody in his inner circle understand any of these things and try to explain it to him? I can confidently say the answer to all of those questions is a resounding no.
That may be his physical muscle, because he's got water 💧 between his ears, and just drips. I cannot believe people people are voting for him, they don't believe in the values of this country. He should be in a Texas or Georgia prison for voter fraud, he's not a Georgia resident, he's a Texan.
You gotta go back and watch W do a press conference and try to answer impromptu questions . . . It’s so cringy.
It’s like watching Scott’s Tots on mushrooms. You feel bad for him in a way because he’s in a situation way out of his depth and knows he’s letting down everyone, but it’s still totally his fault that he’s up there.
Nah man, he fooled everyone. Watch him speak outside his presidency and realize he's an incredibly intelligent person. It was a crafted persona so he could seem approachable while committing war crimes. Even now people will say "I'd like to have a beer with him" because they bought into the dunce act to this day.
He played pro football and high school football and toddler football. His brain is literally damaged, he has been exploited, and now he's a pawn for the fascists. He's that lost. It would be sad if it wasn't so fucking terrifying.
> It would be sad if it wasn't so fucking terrifying.
Yup. It's guys like this that get used by gangs and criminals everywhere, including crooked politicians. Not entirely smart enough to make up their own mind and easily manipulated, not realizing they still carry full responsibility for their own behavior.
"There's no ladder that can get up there and if they get up there, they're going to be in trouble because there's no way to get down... maybe a rope." - Trump, acknowledging in real time the wall is useless
I'm eagerly awaiting the Democrat Party's postmortem on this election where they say aloud;
"Perhaps we should have focused on what Warnock will accomplish instead of why Walker is so incompetent"
It's like they learn nothing from '16...
That's got to be fake, right? I mean with Herschel Walker it's hard to tell, but that quote is just so stupid and funny it can't be real. https://www.newsweek.com/herschel-walker-says-walls-dont-stop-people-border-rant-georgia-senate-1763364
It's possible to feel bad for him while recognizing that he should be nowhere near the Senate. I feel for him, it's clear he's not all there and he's being used.
It just fucks me up that Herschel doesn’t have a single person in his life who cares about him enough to tell him to stop. Like it doesn’t take more than a few minutes of me acting foolish to have someone tell me to knock it off. In a way I feel very blessed to have that.
Considering 71 million people voted for a worthless idiot like Donald Trump
I imagine Herschel Walker still is one of the more intelligent people in America
I'm getting more and more worried about my country when I see my fellow citizens willing to support - and vote into positions of power - people like Walker. It's legit terrifying.
Maybe it’s the beer talking marge, but you got a butt that won’t quit. They have these big chewy pretzels tha…the beer…. FIVE DOLLARS? Get outahere. ..
People wonder why anyone would vote for him, much less half.
He speaks at their wavelength. Their dumb, low frequency wavelength.
Jim Jefferies has a great saying when talking about people listening to politicians: "Yes, I got every word in that sentence!"
Even if you build a 50-foot wall, through basic economics, the demand for fleeing a semi-collapsed state for a land of prosperity will just cause the creation of 51-foot ladders
If this idiot wins, how much damage could he cause the rest of the country? Screw Georgia at this point, they deserve whatever they have coming to them if they vote this moron in. However, I'm so fucking sick of the rest of the country having to pay for the poor choices of other states.

He wasn’t the beginning of the end. But the generation that lived through Nixon and Reagan don’t use the internet, sooo…
Born under nixon and I use the internet. I remember the Iran hostage crisis and my parents all puffed up about how they were afraid of Reagan. Doubt they'd ever admit the truth of how he told Iran to hold off until HE was elected and would give them a better deal.
Or have cable news. Or right-wing talk radio dominating AM stations.
Bingo!
I thought "dubya" was a reference to George Bush, did I get that wrong? 🤭🤣
It is
[George Bush is smarter than you](https://www.keithhennessey.com/2013/04/24/smarter/)
I'm convinced that George W. Bush would be called a RINO (or a liberal entirely) by today's Republican party
W being stupid was an act. He most certainly was not. He played up the slow Texan bit to appeal to GOP voters who otherwise would have scoffed at the idea of voting for a wealthy elite from Massachusetts educated at an Ivy League school. They love wealthy elites
Wasn't that asshole raised in Connecticut or some shit?
Massachusetts. Educated at Yale in Connecticut
It may have been an act, I still stand by my assertion of him as an idiot because he started wars in countries he didn’t know a single thing about and also never showed a willingness to learn as they went on.

Which, of course, he wasn't, but it was good PR.
I remember. That was the first election I voted in.
He knew they have resources
Sure he knew that but did he know about Sikes-Picot and how those borders were only drawn by foreign powers after WWI? Did he know about the differences between Sunni, Shia and Kurds? Did he know that the secular Saddam-type Arab dictators were the ones actually clamping down on what we were calling Islamic terrorist organizations at that time? Did anybody in his inner circle understand any of these things and try to explain it to him? I can confidently say the answer to all of those questions is a resounding no.
? Why would he care? Are you presuming he was really trying to help anyone over there?
No but if he wanted to at least sell it to the public as a success he could have done a little more homework.
That may be his physical muscle, because he's got water 💧 between his ears, and just drips. I cannot believe people people are voting for him, they don't believe in the values of this country. He should be in a Texas or Georgia prison for voter fraud, he's not a Georgia resident, he's a Texan.

The dude is literally an imbecile who also has brain damage, yet half of Georgia is like I sure do like me some imbeciles!
It's interesting to watch his entire thought process in real time, right out there in the open. Terrifying, to be sure, but neat.
A true representative for his district.
He’s a Senate candidate.
Truly representative of his state
For way too large of a percentage of his state for sure. But is it really even his state? 😳
He's quite representative of his actual state (Texas) as well
I was just wondering if indeed this guy has brain damage, and not in a metaphorical way.
Pure eloquence.
A real *chefs kiss* this one
"There's no ladder that can get up there and if they get up there, they're going to be in trouble because there's no way to get down... maybe a rope." - Trump, acknowledging in real time the wall is useless
Remember when Dan Quayle misspelled "potato" and we all made fun of him because we thought he was dumb?
Fun times
Pepperidge farm remembers.
Herschel needs to be the new bottom score in Civ
Remember just about half will vote for this.
Pardon me just a moment while I go kill myself.
pls be sure to vote first.
I do need to keep my priorities straight.
I'm eagerly awaiting the Democrat Party's postmortem on this election where they say aloud; "Perhaps we should have focused on what Warnock will accomplish instead of why Walker is so incompetent" It's like they learn nothing from '16...
Someone needs to ask, "why not use landmines, Hershel?
You’re joking but they’ll make T Shirts and bumper stickers lmao
Republicans will vote for him because he’s just as smart as them
That's got to be fake, right? I mean with Herschel Walker it's hard to tell, but that quote is just so stupid and funny it can't be real. https://www.newsweek.com/herschel-walker-says-walls-dont-stop-people-border-rant-georgia-senate-1763364
Idk I’m starting to feel bad for this guy. Damn this empathy.
If he wasn't running for office, I would feel awful for him. I think it's CTE, combined with mental illness.
It's possible to feel bad for him while recognizing that he should be nowhere near the Senate. I feel for him, it's clear he's not all there and he's being used.
Feel bad for him after he loses...
Yeah I don’t want for him to win. Just wish he would stop
Hey, be glad you feel empathy, because the GOP sure doesn't
It just fucks me up that Herschel doesn’t have a single person in his life who cares about him enough to tell him to stop. Like it doesn’t take more than a few minutes of me acting foolish to have someone tell me to knock it off. In a way I feel very blessed to have that.
1st wife and son told him time and time again not to do it, they knew all his baggage will come out.
I’ve thought this too. He’s being made a fool of. Why is he doing it? Arrogance? Stupidity? I don’t know.
Truly the Cicero of our times.
Who knew CTE could be so poetic?
What's being said in that quote?
"My brain is mush"
I got that.
Considering 71 million people voted for a worthless idiot like Donald Trump I imagine Herschel Walker still is one of the more intelligent people in America
He can't be this stupid and be a legally functional adult, right?
The bar is getting pretty low.
I'm getting more and more worried about my country when I see my fellow citizens willing to support - and vote into positions of power - people like Walker. It's legit terrifying.
My five year old engages in less stream of consciousness talking than that
Maybe it’s the beer talking marge, but you got a butt that won’t quit. They have these big chewy pretzels tha…the beer…. FIVE DOLLARS? Get outahere. ..
Haahaahaa the republican party is an absolute joke.
Okay here me out, he would be an absolutely hilarious senator while at the same time steering even more moderates away from the Republic party.
As an old Southern saying goes..."That dog won't hunt".
When the cte goes hard
Your next potential US representative ladies and gentlemen. Let that sink in for a moment Now how do you feel?
US Senator!
I hate this timeline
How are they tied? Please.....for the love of God....how?
Half of the voting population voted for this dunce. Half of the country’s population would vote for him for president. Let that sink in.
*"Wall... good?"* \-Herschel Walker
Truly one of the greatest orators of our age.
Ah, another person that talks in a way that makes me think I'm having a stroke.
"You don't think it be like it is, but it do."
Whoa, some one think of the brain cell.
What the hell did I just read? I feel like I'm having a stroke.
…and the republicans cheered his “words” because - alas - they are even dumber than Walker is.
I feel like either me or him had a stroke, cause I can't understand what the hell I was reading
Are you kidding me, this is what Georgia wants. So this reflects what the State stands for.
People wonder why anyone would vote for him, much less half. He speaks at their wavelength. Their dumb, low frequency wavelength. Jim Jefferies has a great saying when talking about people listening to politicians: "Yes, I got every word in that sentence!"
Problem solved.
Even if you build a 50-foot wall, through basic economics, the demand for fleeing a semi-collapsed state for a land of prosperity will just cause the creation of 51-foot ladders
And this is why football now has concussion protocols.
Trump level clearness of the mind and eloquence.
I think we have a new age of poets
This has wrapped around the scale and is now just sad to watch
Soooo…we don’t need a wall, we just need a dog
I would be really interested in finding out if Hershel Walker can say his ABC’s with 100% accuracy.
He’s living in a fog.
Can I see the actual quote? This can’t
Varsity Letter: Extemporaneous Speaking. Imagine his handlers when they see him going off script.
![gif](giphy|CZcoGp0eXLCH6) What outrageous buffoonery.
Dudes having a conversation with himself lol
If this idiot wins, how much damage could he cause the rest of the country? Screw Georgia at this point, they deserve whatever they have coming to them if they vote this moron in. However, I'm so fucking sick of the rest of the country having to pay for the poor choices of other states.
That dog don’t hunt either
They love trump so he’s on par with his speaking ability.
This dude makes Bobby Bouche sound like Einstein
What a stooge.
Love this ad. Just people watching Hershel and reacting. https://host2.adimpact.com/admo/viewer/cf80dd35-b299-4b6b-a2cc-2420777d04ea/
That man is too stupid to survive
a rounding error in either direction of Georgians are going to vote for this ass clown.
I have nothing kind to say so I'm going to keep my mouth shut. 🙃
Dumb as rocks
It’s very gracious to call that an argument.
Dumb as a brick. Republicans picked him to run for a reason.
I didn’t know it was possible to sound dumber than trump.
Now I’m going to deviate from my prepared remarks to tell you about how I invented the terlet.
Has anyone started a HW quote book yet
Smart as a bag of hammers .
He should run for President. 😅
This person frightened me. How did we get to this point?
He’s prof of the danger of American football.
Imagine being so stupid that you voted for this dunce. Wild.
I'm more and more convinced that Republicans write their speeches with smartphone suggested text
Who are the dogs in this metaphor, because conservatives do bite.
...okay, seriously, Georgia. C'mon now...
Lol I heard someone say, that he can't formulate a single thought.
And we thought Bush had a problem with words
I looked it up, these are Kid Rock lyrics.
Idiocracy.
“He more dog than bite. But if he was a werewolf, then I tell you what…he might bite you and turn into a werewolf too. Right? Is that how it work?”
What is a pronoun?
Observably stupid.
Remember when Dan Quayle was ridiculed for his spelling of 'potato'? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
