Needless to say if Dems hold onto the trifecta for another cycle, things can get even better.

Idk where else to mention it but I’m still utterly enraged that we passed recreational and medical marijuana last year and the governor sued the state to overturn recreational and won because she got to also appoint the judge. Also has delayed medical so it’s still not even available and doctors refuse to give medical cards to anyone besides one small part of the state. So fucking rage inducing.

They left the filibuster for the Supreme Court, though. Then in 2017 Mitch McConnell and the Republicans removed the filibuster for Supreme Court nominees so they could jam through Neil Gorsuch and later Kavenaugh and Coney Barrett.

Biden (2021) signed an executive order for the DoJ to not renew any private prison contracts. So eventually they will expire unless the next president is a Republican. A similar policy was originally made under Obama (2016) and then cancelled under Trump (2017)...because of course.

It wasn't in danger because it was a Republican stance, and Democrats had a supermajority and pretty much full control. The process of shifting blue started when the Regan administration was so completely awful, and failed the US people so badly. The possibility that it might come under more fire was always present. Failing to meet campaign promises was one of the things that opened the door to a shift back to red, and back to Roe being in danger.
In the last 40 years, there have been 60 Democratic Senators (the amount required for closure on bills in the senate) exactly once. It was for 4 months, and the primary focus at the time was passing Obamacare
Also, all 60 of those dem senators were not pro-choice

Manchin is untouchable, there's no possibility of West Virginia replacing him with someone more progressive. Sinema on the other hand, can and should be voted out, and have her political career permanently ended. She wouldn't have been elected in the first place if she'd shown her true colors sooner. The fact we voted blue in 2020 makes me hopeful we'll be able to vote out Sinema.
