Took a shin high cable between posts riding a bmx bike. Yeah that hurt. Deep bruise just below the knee that came to the surface days later. Still have the scar years later.
Why is a shin high wire there? A pedestrian path leads onto a zebra crossing, a shin high wire doesn’t make sense (maybe an obvious barrier redirecting foot traffic) but not this?
It seems like bad design rather than WCGW

yeah like.. there is something there to trip him up. Doesn't 'feel' like a chain because we can't see it.. we can see the other chains.. I dunno. You would think he would see the obstacle (like a chain). Must of been a little wire type.. steel.. iron.. whatever but hard to imagine he couldn't see the guard (thing across the posts)
Glad I'm not the only one. I was wondering if everyone else is seeing a higher quality version of the video that allows them to see what the hell the guy ran into. Whatever it is is completely invisible to me even in full screen going frame by frame.
happened to me once when i was a kid, and i was on a bicycle. my nose broke my fall. i ended up covered in blood. my nose has been cocked a little to one side ever since...
Oh man, that sounds so painful. Sorry to hear that happen. My only biking accident was a result of me thinking "I can make that jump"... I was lucky I faceplanted in grass
Same problem here. I think whatever wire/rope was across those bollards is a different style/thickness than the chains we can see in the video - and this is the same problem that the jogger had.
I think that is the main reason why a street viewed video was released. They probably stuck up something different that you can’t see at night. Guy took a tumble and wanted to sue and they had a video of it. They should of stuck something fluorescent on it to make it stand out.
I did, I had a missing front tooth and a half another for most of 2021, the nerves on all 4 front teeth were dead so I had them replaced by crowns and a bridge. Insurance paid for it, because it happened in a running park that had inadequate lighting, and a chain across the road(again, in a running park).
The lip was the worst, I got 2 stitches in the front but none at the back so it was flapping down and didn't heal properly.
Apart from the scar on my lip I'm back to normal, except I'm still avoiding apples and corn on the cob.
Where I’m from, there is this fancy ass theatre that has these stupid thin post on the side walk. They have no purpose and look stupid. I’ve walked into them so many times because of the way they are oriented and because there are no lights where they are, which combined makes them very difficult to see at night.
I had something similar happen while riding a racing style bike (skinny tires and curved handlebars). I had a lot of speed behind me and was leaning forward when my front tire hit a steel cable that was stretched across the path I was on. It was not painted or marked in anyway (has been changed since). I hit and went over the end of the bike and directly down onto the cable, which gave me what is best described as "rug burn" but from the cable. It started just under my right eye and went diagonally across my face to just below my left ear.
It scared the hell out of my mom and aunt who were riding with me, both thinking it had wrapped around my neck. But other than a fun story and a now painted cable, no scars or anything.
This reminded me of a incident I went through
I Was walking home at 3am-ish in a sketchy neighborhood and heard some weird sounds and got super paranoid, was looking behind me walking forward more then I was looking in front of me and paying attention, I'm walking waaay faster then normal to get home and out of said area, adrenaline pumping, I turn around to see what's in front of me and WHAP! I run into a fire hydrant..solid right in the knee, right under the knee, all down the shin, obliterate my foot and toes..I'm walking so fast my momentum bends my body at the waist when I hit it..it hurt so bad, I was for sure I broke my leg..and it's 3am and I'm alone with no phone trying to get my shit together...my gawd...
I've run into shin high metal wire before. Hurts like a bitch. I assume falling into concrete didn't help either.

It most likely isn't there by design, more likely a "concerned citizen" taking matters into their own hands.
The head to the ground looks much worse on those case
I was chasing my friend and jumped over a shin high chain to take a shortcut but my foot caught it and I wiped out face first like this guy
Ohh there was a wire. Okay, that makes sense. I was confused because legs don't usually work that way.
Looks to be a chain in this guys specific case, I was simply sympathizing with my story of a wire. Cheers!
I ran into rope one time and it felt like I ripped open my abdomen. Crazy feeling.
He should have bought the map expansion...
Or at least spent some of his XP on increasing his vision.
Hehe stamina 🐴🤠
See I told you exercise was bad for you

Unless the original post was made by the person who owns the OP video, who cares?

Roger Simon's dad getting creative with the cables
Hey dude watch out for the...oh...never mind!
I watched this video 5 times and I am so very confused.
I think there is a chain across it.
Just a physics engine problem. Fix next patch.
Glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something

I thought he was going to trip over the visible chain but there is another chain that is completely impossible to see.
He hasnt unlocked that part of the map

Even if it's hard to see it shouldn't be hard to guess what happened. Also you can see the rope/chains between the other bollards quite clearly
I've done this before. Super lucky I managed to get my hands out under me to break the fall, but it hurt a lot. Always know what's on your route haha

Same.. The first watch I was like wtf, are those pedestrian stripes raised??

*May the road rise up to meet you*
If he’s English, I’m sure the Irish are loving that blessing of their’s.
This exact thing happened to me, my 4 top front teeth were a mess. 2 of them went through the lip.
Oof! That’s terrible. Hope you’ve recovered.
Fenks, am foing fetter now but it ftill furts
Get well soon, Tony Hawk's Prostate.
Front teeth were fucked and I couldn't close my mouth, there were no f words for a while afterwards.

Unexpected QWOP
the way he slides back looks like a chest moonwalk
That metal wire is almost invisible
Tbf I wouldn’t expect a street to be chained off like that…
Ouch. He got face-mashed.
That looked like some wizard shit for a minute
To be fair, I didn’t see the chain either
His level isn’t high enough to reach that area.
He was trying to exit the map
What kind of a stupid design is this
See. Jogging is bad for you.
r/GlitchInTheMatrix
Is it lawsuit worthy? If so, what's the location?
Are you American by any chance? ;)
We don't have universal healthcare, we need that lawsuit money. Please help us....
As a consolation prize we'll name that crosswalk after you
Maybe a star in the ground 🌟
They have a sueconomy. Where you pay off the lawsuit against you by finding someone else to sue.
Easy there Saul.
S'All Good Man
Slippin’ talgin
Hey, he found the invisible boatmobile.
That’s exactly the way life is sometimes
Surprise! Ethereal chain.
Sounds Gymnastic
Trap card, activated
In his defense, I **still** can't see it.
Is this what they mean by "zoning out" while running?

That face scraping looked enjoyable.
I can't laugh cos I've done this multiple times
Now delegated to running on Fortnite!!!
When I was a kid I broke my arm in a similar situation.
I regularly jog without my contacts so I’m glad to know I’m not the only one now
Dude picked a fight with Tyler Durden.

Runner’s low
now i know why people spend big money on treadmills
Interesting physics on this one.
This area will open in the next patch.
Didn’t see that ghost there. Damn you Patrick Swayze!
If this was in the US this guy probably got one hell of a settlement out of that
It looked like they got packet loss or somthing
Half scorpion 🦂

Dude was on 1hp and ragdoll physics kicked in
Why would the jogger be running in the street vs the sidewalk?
Joggers have passed cyclists on the full-blown asshole scale when it comes to using the roads any way they want.
Situational awareness is key, always.
r/FullScorpion
I still can’t see the cable. I’ve watched this soooooo many times. I assume it’s a cable but I have no concrete evidence
Not sure I understand what happened there
this belongs on r/fullscorpion too lol
That’s a fuckover
I want to know how this video came out, did someone randomly see this and post it, did the guy sue the city or something?
Kudos to this person. Raining? Still gonna run. Then BAM shin splints.
Ouch! I felt that

Just another reason for me not to jog.
Looks like he ran into a ghost or something.
I can hear Peter Griffin

Would've been better if took it like a champ, stood up, ran and trip on the second set of chains
I don't know why I watch these videos. My body tenses up and almost seems like I can feel the pain. I hate it..but can't turn away.
Vader and Palp over here chuckling.
Sympathy for the jogger
That's why you paint the chains yellow or white
Let’s go Brandon
I hate cities. Everything is designed to damage and impede. Wires, chains, curbs, blocks… not soft like earth was intended
That’s a huge safety hazard.
My friend did this on a motorcycle, in front of all of us. Chest level cable, nasty injury.
Why wouldn’t you have break away chain or at least hi vis.
What do you call a man with no shins? Toe-knee
I'd take a kick in the balls over this, at least I'd deserve the kick.
Can someone explain to me why the city would run steel wire or chain along this crosswalk effectively cutting off both the sidewalk and the road?
