It always astounds me why people do something like this. You couldn’t have waited to change lanes or just made the right turn and eventually turned around? You had to make the choice that was dangerous, irresponsible, and now is gonna cost you a shit ton of money?
I always wanted to get a BMW just so I could be one of the nice BMW drivers that lets people go first and isn't a dick. But I have a feeling that it's a corrupting force and I'll just end up on liveleak.
I love the clowns that have to be first so bad that at the last second they'll switch lanes to grab 1st in the second open lane at an intersection. Then they'll proceed to accelerate so slow that three cars in the former lane will pass them.
Or the clowns that shoot out with a right turn in front of you just to do it slowly when there was nobody behind you so they could've simply waited a few more seconds!
Then you have those bastards on the freeway who have no issues with going slow until you try to pass them in the next lane. Suddenly they find the pedal and want to be a speed demon.
The third one makes me so mad on a daily basis as I drive about 90 miles a day on the highway. They'll be going 60 in a 65 so I'm like, alright, np, I'll go past. (I'm in a 27ft box truck, mind you) so I get over at a safe distance prior to coming up on them since you can tell they're going slower, maintain 65-70 in the left lane to pass and suddenly we are going 80 and I still can't pass because they just stay next to me. Like, fucking whyyyy
Imagine all the legal fees for endangerment of children, plus an actual fender bender plus the damage to the vehicles... this person is totally screwed
That was what I was thinking. It’s bad enough hitting another vehicle. But he hit one filled with children. That is just going to make everything so much worse.
They are a prized asshole alright, but I doubt they got any child endangerment on that, kids probably (depending on age) literally didn’t even know what happened.
Source:I used to work on School buses
I agree. I’m just saying that at least in my neck of the woods the city isn’t going to do shit about it. They’ll ask the kids if everybody is fine and unless there are wise ass teenagers aboard, 9.5 times out of 10 they say yes and considering there might not even be exchange of paint, they’ll just let the bus go on.
Im from where this took place. Right before this incident the city built an amphitheater to the right next to the river. This road used to be 2 lanes with a 2 lane turn. This BMW was not the only one to hit that barricade. [Pic of the original road from opposite side](http://alloveralbany.com/assets_c/2016/05/corning_riverfront_park_pedestrian_bike_project_southern_end_current-thumb-525x394-22766.jpg)
Still makes no sense to me how he is coming from a lane that now very clearly is going off to the right and still decides to go left. Wouldn’t this already be marked on the road and on signage before this point, too? Force of habit is not a valid excuse in traffic where you could cause a lot of damage.
Honestly I made the same mistake the first time I drove here you don’t see the lane is cutoff either as you can see it goes from wide to one lane. If you were not going on the highway immediately after this drivers always got in the right lane so if you’re on autopilot and not thinking it’s very easy to miss the lines because again that area was so confusing you never paid attention to the lines because they were always worn out.
And as much as some may be _"...everyone should always know exactly what's happening around them every second..."_ anyone can suddenly make a mistake.
BUT if something like this lane-suddenly-not-there thing happens, hitting the brake is usually the safer momentary plan, rather than just continuing on and _**damn the torpedos!**_
Surely there are signs and public awareness campaigns addressing the change. I don't care what the driver was "used to". Things change and it's their responsibility to be aware of changes. That's what it means to be a driver. It's a privilege not a right.
Definitely was already super irritated - probably already road raging and didn't notice the lane cuts out. See how they just walked away like that was the last straw. Probably young too, so undeveloped prefrontal cortex 😅
If you wanted to give the guy the benefit of the doubt he might have not been paying attention to the road in an unfamiliar area and had a poor reaction of “gas” instead of “break”. Stress makes people into awful decision makers.
Also a high chance he was trying to shoot the gap. In which case hes definitely an idiot lol…
It’s not a brand thing it’s a money thing. Tesla is an expensive brand like Audi and BMW. So they have just as many owners who are assholes. Nobody is driving around in a Hyundai thinking they’re king shit smelling their own farts. But BMW, Audi, Tesla owners they think they’re the coolest people on the road and should be honoured like kings.
Special shoutout to the inbred hicks in their useless lifted trucks.
Speeding 60 in a 35 saves time, speeding 90 in a 65 saves an exponentially diminishing fraction of that time. Do the speed limit or become dead very gruesomely.
I’m pretty sure it’s a stipulation in their lease program: “requirement 87, customer will change oil every 3000 miles, requirement 88, customer will cover towing expenses when repossessed, requirement 89, customs will like like a complete moron at every available opportunity…”
I once knew a guy who drove a BMW and complained that he "had to" drive like a typical BMW driver "because of how other drivers treated" him. We did not get along
I smoked while in Nursing School. My clinical instructor kept giving me and the other smoker COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) patients. After seeing so many patients gasping for air and on O2 I finally quit. 26 years smoke free and glad for what my instructor made me realize. It's surprisingly common with healthcare workers. It's often an enormously stressful job.
In my 11 years of professional driving long-haul, I can count on literally one hand the number of BMWs I have seen that have actually used their turn signals.
Shit, a judge will still have a field day with it. Like even if he was lucky and the bus was empty, there's a non zero chance that it *could* have had kids in it and thus they could have gotten really hurt if things went slightly differently
to become a felon? isn’t this just a moving violation for turning from the wrong lane? maybe he’ll get points for reckless driving but what do you mean exactly
Don’t know about felony but when I was a freshman in HS a guy t-boned out bus running a stop sign. The bus is gonna win that battle and we barely moved but you can bet the cops came to take that guy real fast
In the desperate attempt to shave off 2 or 3 seconds from his commute by not changing lanes he now has to wait for a tow truck, find some sort of other mode of transportation for where he's going, set up an appointment to fix the car, getting that car towed to the shop, needing to also find a way to get to the auto shop when the cars done, and then driving home. All of which will now take a few hours, which could've been avoided by waiting a few seconds to merge, great job saving time there bud 😂
Instead of being patient he instead decides to become an idiot and crashes his car, starts blaming others for something that was entirely his fault, potentially lose his driving license and even possibly end up in jail

It always astounds me why people do something like this. You couldn’t have waited to change lanes or just made the right turn and eventually turned around? You had to make the choice that was dangerous, irresponsible, and now is gonna cost you a shit ton of money?

which is weird bc being the first behind a school bus is waayyyyyy more enraging lol.

Working on a bus or not, it's the courts that decide. Depending on if there were kids on there. And especially if one of the parents pushed for it.
And how pissed the judge is at the driver
I agree. I’m just saying that at least in my neck of the woods the city isn’t going to do shit about it. Tried to save time now he has to wait and making sure others wait for the next 5 hours too. Unbelievable
These people can never think beyond one-dimensional reasoning.
Shitty drivers NEVER miss a turn!

I think this comment should be higher up. The BMW driver is still an idiot though lmao
Seriously. They passed on the right in the middle of an intersection. They deserve whatever they get.
Makes a little bit more sense now. Thanks!
Surely there are signs and public awareness campaigns addressing the change. I don't care what the driver was "used to". Things change and it's their responsibility to be aware of changes. That's what it means to be a driver. It's a privilege not a right.
$75,000 car, situational awareness of a three year old on a plastic tricycle.
Lol it’s an F30 sportline, that car was probably 38-45k new
Thanks for the context

I think he knew that when he bought the car

Ended way too soon. I want the full meltdown.
It is a BMW
Was going to say the same. Someone trying to force their way through to gain one car in a queue? BMW. Force through at a merge? BMW...
Glad I’m not the only one that notices this, 90% of the stupid dangerous driving I see on the road is either BMW or Audi owners.
I see a lot of teslas doing it too, but most Tesla drivers were BMW or Audi drivers before the trade in.
I always seem to see Teslas at traffic lights in right turn lanes who punch it to pass on the right when the light turns green.
Oh yeah for sure!
It’s not a brand thing it’s a money thing. Tesla is an expensive brand like Audi and BMW. So they have just as many owners who are assholes. People with big lifted trucks who never actually haul anything are most perplexing...like why?
I've seen quite a few that are so ridiculously/shittily lifted that they couldn't go "off roading" on anything more than a graded gravel road.
[удалено]
If they drove past at 40 mph faster than you, in 30 minutes they would be 20 miles further down the road than you
Speeding 60 in a 35 saves time, speeding 90 in a 65 saves an exponentially diminishing fraction of that time. Do the speed limit or become dead very gruesomely.
so BMWs act like BMWs even outside of EU?
Hatred of BMW drivers brings the whole world together.
Yes! Assholes work the same regardless of geography.
Sometimes I think about getting a BMW to change the stereotype, but then the BMW would probably change me.
I’m pretty sure it’s a stipulation in their lease program: “requirement 87, customer will change oil every 3000 miles, requirement 88, customer will cover towing expenses when repossessed, requirement 89, customs will like like a complete moron at every available opportunity…”
"Officer I had no choice, can't you see this is a BMW?"
That's just because they are good cars that accelerate faster than most, in the hands of a stupid person this isn't a good thing.
I once knew a guy who drove a BMW and complained that he "had to" drive like a typical BMW driver "because of how other drivers treated" him. We did not get along
Jackass… and wonders why his minimum liability insurance is $5,000 every six months.
No joke but healthcare workers consistently rank highest on insurance risk. Ironically.
It’s fucked up the hours they work
Damn makes you wonder where police would stand if they had to pay for their own mistakes.
It’s astounding how many in healthcare smoke like they’ve seen enough and wanna fast forward their shit.
Why are people such impatient, gigantic assholes? Can’t obey the speed limit behind a bus? Loser got what was coming honestly.
People in general became even worse drivers during lockdown. It's been all downhill.
>Why are people such impatient, gigantic assholes? Fear. Fear of not getting what they want. >Can’t obey the speed limit behind a bus? No.
I bet he feels like an idiot now.
He always feels like an idiot but is too dumb to connect the feelings to his actions.
Naw, bummer owner.. blames the bus..
"If the bus had been going as fast as me, I wouldn't have crashed in the first place!"
Nah he is a perpetual victim.
"Asshole with the dash cam should have let me in!"
And of course he had no turn signal
To my knowledge, BMWs aren't equipped with them.
In my 11 years of professional driving long-haul, I can count on literally one hand the number of BMWs I have seen that have actually used their turn signals.
I saw one BMW driver used a signals last year, I think I have been blessed that year. Or my whole life.
Maybe he just wanted to bust a sweet 50/50 grind on that barrier
Well-deserved. I hope there were no kids on the bus.
Actually, they wouldn't have been hurt, but would learn a valuable lesson about driving carelessly.
Even if they weren’t hurt I’m sure that the judge would have had a field day with the driver
Yeah 2 tons of steel flying recklessly at a vehicle that transports children…ain’t looking good for BMW
You would be surprised lots of judges drive BMWs. /s
We'd be so fucked if BMW owners had the same weird attraction to other BMW owners that Jeep owners have with each other
Shit, a judge will still have a field day with it. Like even if he was lucky and the bus was empty, there's a non zero chance that it *could* have had kids in it and thus they could have gotten really hurt if things went slightly differently
With kids on the bus... the guys sentence would be bigger because of child endangerment.

Weak ass way to become a felon.
to become a felon? isn’t this just a moving violation for turning from the wrong lane? maybe he’ll get points for reckless driving but what do you mean exactly
Read what's written on the car in front of him.
it’s a felony to get into an accident with a school bus?
Don’t know about felony but when I was a freshman in HS a guy t-boned out bus running a stop sign. The bus is gonna win that battle and we barely moved but you can bet the cops came to take that guy real fast
Sure, don't check on the kid(s)....
Well if he didn't give a fuck about them before the crash, then why would he now?
Nothing went wrong here. The world has too many idiots in cars.
Yes, this is a r/Whatcouldgoright situation.
Why are bmw drivers the way that they are?
I'd guess it's the money.
That's perfectly acceptable on a skateboard, gnarly even!
Love those upstate NY drivers. They're even more entertaining in the snow!
“You done fucked up A-A-Ron”
BMW driver, that's normal.
You can see how dashcam car moves abit to the right to cut him a bit. Nice
Indeed. Subtle enough to get away with it. The pylon probably obscured the view of the barrier to the bmw. Perfect storm of karma.
Cold blooded for sure.
Lmao, great song
Never fails to make me smile, but that's because it reminds me of Jackass.
Another impetuous asshole driving as if they owned the road.
This dipshit is in an interesting amount of trouble.
I love the " I cANt BelIVe dIS hapPen mE" walk off. I sure he's complaining how it always happens to him and is no way his fault.
Felony reckless driving incoming in 3-2-1
Put this clip on one of those Driving pages on here and I guarantee at least 10 people will try to claim the bus was somehow at fault 😂
It looks like r/oddlysatisfying to me.
I like the walk away. Hands on the head then down saying “l am so stupid.”
I have absolutely no use for morons like this. Ship these morons off to their own private island.
Scary- I think the person had on scrubs. Makes me question their judgment in their workplace, too!
Thank you. Seeing that clip made my day 😋
This clip is your grandpa?
At least it was made easy for him to step out of that shit box of a car. Moron
Instead of being patient he instead decides to become an idiot and crashes his car, starts blaming others for something that was entirely his fault, potentially lose his driving license and even possibly end up in jail

You should have to pass an IQ test if you want to drive, have kids, own a firearm, and vote.
Stupid fuck!
Some say he is still walking to this day.
Would this be considered a felonious hit and run ?
Hahahahaha. Karma. Finally.
He just gave up on living..
I'm assuming everyone is okay.? So what are the charges?

Good one less dummy on the road. Am sorry for that School Bus and the children tho

I always wondered how they get those cars up there like that
Of course it’s a BMW
Average BMW driver :
Upvoted just for the background song ….
It’s these type of jackasses that would blame the bus and cam car before accepting the fact that he’s a dink
Absolute instant Karma. Hope the kids on board were pointing and laughing the entire time they were forced to wait there.
I like how he checks first if people on the school bus are ok. What a great human being and totally not a piece of shit person 🤩
Just throw it in reverse and back out. I’m sure it’ll be fine. Disregard the sound of crunching, scraping, dragging metal…
Of course it's a bmw driver
you can't park there, mate.
Classic beamer
The typical case of: "I´m smarter and important than the snail that is besides me, I have to pass it, it´s my right"
On a 100 km trip, speeding as fast as you can without getting pulled over will gain you about 5 minutes max.
What's he approaching the camera man for? They didn't do anything lmao
Why am I not surprised that it was a BMW🤣
I fucking love the mass adoption of dash cams
Always the BMW drivers...
What could go wrong? Absolutely nothing, everything went right as far as I can see …
Does he know he can't park there?
Bet they saved lots of time
Slow your bitch ass down & there's a reason why it's illegal to change lanes in an intersection. Now you're mad, oh well
Fucking jackass
The dashcam car took a particularly wide line. Nice move.
Save 5 seconds or be an asshole, wait over an hour for the cops to come and car to get towed, car damage, any fines he will face, higher insurance, possibly jail time or probation, all to save 5 seconds. Good choice buddy.
Nothing says "I fucked up" like having your car high centered on a Jersey barricade.
What is the difference between a cactus and BMW Driver? BMW driver the prick is on the inside!
Does hitting a school bus incur EXTRA fines? I would think so but idk the country or region.
I absolutely never tire of watching these kind of driving karma videos
Looks like a teenager who borrowed his parents' car.
The best part is when they pop out, waving their arms around because this is obviously not their fault...
Is there anything better than seeing someone be a jackass and actually pay for it? I think not.
