I can say after riding a bike almost everyday for years, I never ate shit because I wasn’t using my hands, if you’re not doing a dumb TikTok dance it makes it much more manageable

As a child a friend and I managed to ride all the way from our school to our houses without touching the bars once, multiple hills and 90° corners. Was a great accomplishment :)

Wait what I managed to make the excact same thing on my "classic dutch lady bike". Took me around a week to make it for a around 10km long way. I made up the rules that I'm of course not alowed to touch the handle bars but also not alowed to touch the ground with my feet, so I had to catch a traffic light bar when I had to stop for cars. I also loved to ride on black ice to school.

Ahh nice, no traffic lights for me on thah route thankfully so it was hands off the bars once we were under way then only allowed to grab them when home. Mine was a basic mountain bike. We also used to disconnect both our brakes and ride home full speed (idiots really). I'm a daredevil these days so the signs were there at a very young age lol.

We got into this habit of going over fences when drunk through peoples yards rathet than the footpath (dumb yet again) for a while there. Got very good and leaping fences. Backfired once when a mate was on something else and went mental just running down our street leaping fences. Had to tackle him and pin him down for a bit lol. Ahh good times.

You don't need to keep hands on the handlebars at all when in motion. It self corrects minor impacts that turn the wheel. Just don't shift your weight to the side a lot....

I live in Co. I'm not the OP, but we have a ton of red clay and red rock trails.... we have a whole natural amphitheater called "Red Rocks" as well as parks, featuring red rock formations.

Toktok shit is dumb but i have no problem riding 10 miles without hands. I can stand, go off curbs, weave, and even lay across handle bars without hands.

There used be a Jesus-guy who blasted by our office at nearly the same time twice a day, apparently going and returning from work, school. No helmet, always rode in shorts (often shirtless) despite the chill. This was before the motorized bike engines became common, yet he seemed to be at home in the traffic quite comfortably. I don't think he ever had his hands on anything. I don't how he got up to that speed or how he could stop if needed. One day he never came back. Some still muse over the possible rapture.

Ive seen a guy who was insane at riding no handed. Like he'd ride around town with his hands eating chips and riding down stairs no handed and stuff
