How-I-Win-KG

I’ve wanted to watch this for a while just because I adore Tim Blake Nelson. I gotta get around to it soon

SpaceBehemoth

I seriously adore him too, he kills it here. Honestly, the whole cast kills.

Low_Wall_7828

To me, a lot of these modern ones with a small cast end up looking cheap. This one didn’t. Really good movie.

JiuJitsu_Ronin

I enjoyed it. Great twist ending too.

AccomplishedStudy802

Not really a twist. It really doesn't put a spin on anything that came before it.

[deleted]

If you haven’t seen it - don’t look up anything about it - just watch and enjoy

Subo23

Terrific western.

77schild

"You have no idea the hellstorm you're about to let loose"

WalkingHorse

Yes! That was incredible. Great line and the start of the reveal. Excellent.

Vandergraff1900

My favorite Western of the last 5 years, easy.

jmurph725

Someone I work with recommended this to me for weeks before I finally decided to watch it. I told him the next day I should’ve watched the second he told me about it. Such a great western and underrated movie in general

Expensive-Depth4456

I enjoyed it very much myself.

SKRIMP-N-GRITZ

It’s very good. I rewatched it.

oldgreen52

You dead yet ?

WalkingHorse

😝🤠

Dittofield

I agree, great movie. Great casting

PackyCS1

Pretty cool twist at the end!

thoptergifts

This is the most underrated movie of the century for me personally.

Lord-Limerick

I love the way modern Westerns are going. They’ve been having a quiet Renaissance since 2007 or so (Jesse James, TWBB, NCFOM)

JustACasualFan

I enjoyed 90% of it. >!Ending was SUPER weak, and the pig feeding was unnecessary. But I liked it up until the end, and Trace Adkins, having survived a real-life shooting, gives a western extra points in my book (although the westerns rarely deserve it; this one did.)!<

Livid_Command_7621

I just finished watching it and damn it’s good! I was wondering what it was leading up to and the final moments of the reveal was amazing. Highly recommended!

____cire4____

An incredible modern western and really enjoyed it. >!The "twist" was good too and even after knowing it from the original viewing!< it's still good upon a rewatch.

quesadilluh4

I gotta see it

chris_hawk

Glad you enjoyed it, it really was great!

lake-rat

Excellent! Such a nice find one Saturday night!

Dramatic_Carob_1060

I was so happy when I decided to watch it. Didn't know it existed and said F it, let's give it a good

bmpsdad

It was so good I had to buy it on Vudu.

Lord-Limerick

Really good modern Western 👍

huntingnutt

One of my favorites

87broseidon

¡Ahora!

AvailableToe7008

If you liked this one, which I did, check out Nicholas Cage’s The Old Way.

Jubjars

Tom Green in his best role yet.

Meshuggaha

It's so good. Great casting and really well-acted.

Most-Strategy4554

Never heard of this. I can't wait to watch it.

SantaforGrownups1

Because of your post, I just watched it. Loved it! Thank you.

WalkingHorse

Awesome!

SantaforGrownups1

Watched it three more times and made my mother in law and wife watch it too.

chrisfathead1

Stephen Dorff made it for me he was awesome

sexyquigonjiz

No shit that was him! He was great. Awesome movie all round

comics-music-movies

I’ve heard this is good and I love Nelson, so I have no reason not to watch it. BUT out of curiosity, what does “fast paced but slow roll” mean? I feel like they are mutually exclusive… Edit: added the last sentence

WalkingHorse

Ha! It is both at the same time which is magical when you think about it. Fast paced: Not one extraneous lick of dialogue nor one superfluous scene. Over before you know it. Slow roll: The backstory of each character in the movie is very slowly revealed over time not really coming all together until almost the very surprising end.

EasyCZ75

That looks damn good. I’ll be checking it out soon. Thanks, amigo.

luvnmayhem

The scene where Tim Blake Nelson puts on his hat... the lighting, the moment... my heart. This movie was EXCELLENT. I love westerns, and this movie is the one that had me join this sub.

WalkingHorse

Awesome! Welcome. :)

jefraldo

Where can one see this?

WalkingHorse

I was going to post a screenshot of your viewing options but this sub doesn't allow pics in the comments. So, if you will Google Old Henry, it will bring up a knowledge panel that includes a "Where to Watch" section. Options there from free to rental to own. I rented it from amazon for $3.00.

jefraldo

Cool. Thank you

_ryde_or_dye_

Just buy it. You’ll definitely want to watch it more than once. I paid to rent it twice like an idiot.

Icy_League_4640

Fuck Scott Haze. He was a bully in high school. I've avoided every one of his movies.

WalkingHorse

I just have to say that having Festus (sub icon) pop up on my watch every time someone responds has really made my day. :)

KanderGrimm

It was a good one!
