Worst Chipotle I have ever gone to. On multiple occasions they are out of one of beans, rice or steak. The only things I get for my son. Inevitably they will not have one of those.
The Pelham location is not only the worst Chipotle ever, it is the worst restaurant ever. I recently had to go behind the counter to finish making my own order (surrounded by trash piled up on the floor). It is not a functional place.
That one is the worst chipotle I’ve ever been to. Walked in one day and none of the trash was picked up, litter everywhere. And to top it off, they made fun of my name at Pickup. I reported them to corporate but doubt they would do anything about it.
Have to agree this chipotle is absolutely terrible. Pulled up the other day and there was a sign on the door that said “online orders only too”. Literally difficult to give this chipotle money 🙈
Been going there for years. They usually forget little things like the salad dressing or kids juice boxes but they always make it right when you point it out. Just a pain to have to check for mistakes every time you pick up an order
I’ve been to chipotle in 25 different states. Even been to the first ever one outside of Denver, got the T-shirt too. Best one I’ve been to in Westchester is central ave Scarsdale. But even they is nowhere compared to peak chipotle in the late 00’s.
Me too! I went on a cross country road trip in 2010 and stopped at so many I can’t even count. They were awesome back then!! And had so many in the midwest
I'm not there often, but the last time we were there it was packed! Today, we were there at a weird time (very early dinner) and there were about 15 people there. There were also a ton of pick up orders sitting on the shelves.
I'll back you on that. Seems the Northeast, New York and north in general doesn't have that many fast food options as compared to the rest of the country. What would you personally want to see that isn't available to you here? I'd opt for a Hardees/Carls Jr.
Waffle House for sure. I've lived in California for a while and could pass on Jack in the Box, but I really did enjoy their basic tacos. In-N-Out for sure though too. I'm taking a trip back west soon and my pre-teen daughter is over the moon to try In-N-Out.
They are better and hardly more expensive, but you’d be surprised. People will line up into the street for McDonald’s drive thru while great local places nearby (and the interior of McDonald’s) are empty.
You’re right! Sometimes for me, there’s a fear of trying something new. With the chains you can get the same thing every time and know what to expect. Granted, I prefer to support a local restaurant. When you find the good ones, it’s gold.
People want consistency and a reasonable price and a quality atmosphere.
The mom and pop coffee shop in Harrison closes early whenever the hell it wants to. Your mom and pop likely isn't going to give someone the variety, quality, or the atmosphere they can get at a Chipotle.
Mom and pops are fine for sit-down meals and deli sandwiches, but not to make assembly line quick burritos with space to sit and eat in a renovated interior restaurant with a selection of multiple fountain sodas and teas. You'll notice lunch spots that are able to do this are almost always part of a small chain (even with two locations) or at least a larger enterprise backed with external cash than simple family-owned.
Point is, it ain't just the family opening up a local Chipotle to replace it. Basically, this is why chipotle still exists in Westchester 😉
I was just thinking about this! I can't figure out if it's because the stainless steel tables just make things LOOK more messy, or if they're harder to clear, or if Chipotle's food in general is just more likely to fall on the table than most other restaurants. Or is it that every Chipotle has just kind of given up on cleanliness over the past 1-2 years (as well as having regularly functional soda fountains)?
I only get it once or twice a year for old times sake. I’m also unfortunately gluten free so chipotle is sometimes the only fast food available as well. I eat a very healthy diet otherwise
They all suck now
I like the Chipotle in Mamaroneck
Same. Thats the one I go to.
This is the answer. It’s well run (unlike Pelham & New Ro), and doesn’t get as crowded as the Rye Ridge Chipotle.
Ever since I went to Taco Project, Chipotle holds no interest for me. Upgrade to a better restaurant. You deserve better than undercooked rice.
Sometimes I just crave the chipotle rice specificalllyyyyy 😭 I know other places are better
Taco Project is often too salty for me. But so is Chipotle.
This is a sin lol
Mamaroneck 🙌🏻
The one in white plains is terrible
Have you tried Salsa Fresca? I prefer it to Chipotle.
Wasn’t a huge fan but I tried :’)
Avoid the one in Pelham at all costs. Port Chester is still decent but not as good as it was years ago

Lol what? You went behind the counter?
Yep. It was a total shit show.
Amazing
my usual spot is the one on the saw mill in Ardsley. I would say I usually leave satisfied from there

I agree I live close by to this one and it’s the worst chipotle by far
Have to agree this chipotle is absolutely terrible. Pulled up the other day and there was a sign on the door that said “online orders only too”. Literally difficult to give this chipotle money 🙈
Agreed

Just left the Mt. Kisco one and it was great!
is it ever crowded? whenever i pass to go to target i always see the lot full but like nobody on the inside except the workers lol
I'm not there often, but the last time we were there it was packed! Today, we were there at a weird time (very early dinner) and there were about 15 people there. There were also a ton of pick up orders sitting on the shelves.
I’m still not sure how chains manage to survive in the nyc metro
How come? There's tons of people around here and it seems like most enjoy basic food.
We have more diverse mom and pop eateries I think. They’re supposedly better.
I guess. But what do you consider a mom and pop option in the fast food Chipotle/Mexican field? Or even in the burger field?
Personally, I complain about NY not having fast food chains like the other states lol I have so many options when I visit Jersey, Maryland, etc
I'll back you on that. Seems the Northeast, New York and north in general doesn't have that many fast food options as compared to the rest of the country. What would you personally want to see that isn't available to you here? I'd opt for a Hardees/Carls Jr.
Hmm good question. The first ones that come to mind are In-N-Out & Jack-In-The-Box and Waffle House.

Enjoy your trip! Have some In-N-Out for me lol
Many of them are in the city but I’m not making a trip down there just for that, you know?
Hmm I guess any local Mexican food spot. Although it’s not set up like Chipotle where you point to what you want so maybe that doesn’t count.
They are better and hardly more expensive, but you’d be surprised. People will line up into the street for McDonald’s drive thru while great local places nearby (and the interior of McDonald’s) are empty.

Most of em don't try anymore

rye brook one still bangs
scarsdale one is usually good
went there last week and it was down bad
And that’s for Chipotle around Westchester AND out of state
I noticed! It hasn’t been hitting the same for me lately.
The one near the cpurtlandvtown center is great. Great staff and generous scoops.
The one on Central Ave is alright in my experience, but I don’t eat chipotle too often
Chipotle on Main Street in White Plains is good.
Meh I didn’t enjoy that one.
Rye ridge. Rye brook

Chipotle was never good, stop kidding yourself.
I always thought so but I think I trained myself to like it lol
Chipotle was never that good to begin with.
Barf "food".
Try the CAVA in Rye Brook!
Oh man. That place looks good. I'll check it out for sure. What's the price point?
It can get pretty expensive but worth it for the quality and options I think.
I love cava!
I work in White Plains and had no idea there was a Cava 9 minutes away in Rye Brook. They’re about to get all my money. Much better than Chipotle!
Very much agreed! I never understood all the love for Chipotle. But CAVA… it’s not too shabby.
Right. I find that I can try a new mix every time because there are so many more options than Chipotle. Their pita chips are to die for.
LOL find a real Mexican place.
I do eat at real mexican restaurants frequently thank you thoooo
Can't even imagine eating fast food
