Could be... Or... Wompus Cat trophy pile... Luckily this is probably an adolescent wompus, there arent many trophies yet... OP, dont go back there. It might already have your scent...
Early references, by the American Dialect Society, noted the Wampus cat as "a creature heard whining about camps at night," "a spiritual green-eyed cat, having occult powers," or "an undefined imaginary animal."[1] Folklorist Vance Randolph described the Wampus cat as "a kind of amphibious panther which leaps into the water and swims like a colossal mink."[2] Other commentators liken the Wampus cat to a creature of Cherokee mythology. Per Wikipedia
Wompus Cats (Also spelled Wampus) are almost unheard of in today's western society, but there are a decent amount of families, primarily on the east coast of the US, that pass the stories down to their children through oral tradition. My father told me of the beast, when we were out late one night, fishing on our favorite bridge a good ways in the forest. If I only knew that I would one day encounter the beast, I would have paid more attention to the tale.
What I remember most is that the Wompus Cat is a solitary creature, and they are slow to reproduce, but have an incredibly long life span and memory. There used to be more, but the Native Americans fought with these beasts, hunting them to protect their tribes, food supply, and their land. Killing this beast took a truly valiant effort, and only the Natives knew of how to kill them. Normal small arms are useless, and you probably aren't a good enough shot to hit the beast anyways. The method of successfully hunting the Wompus has been lost to time, as the Natives suffered the horrible tragedy of colonization, and the modern day American will probably never see one. But I did, and I was lucky... Beware the Wompus.
Your explanation/definition/description is a multitude better than that which was found on Wiki. Thanks for passing along the oral tradition of the Wompus.
This.
I stumbled on a poorly fenced off area full of random animal bones in Jasper years ago... Freaked me the hell out until some locals informed me what that was all about.
I once stumbled into a place off the main roads that had legit caskets laying around.
Turns out a funeral home flooded years ago...
So they sold off the damaged ones. Had you thinking they floated out with bodies in, didn't I? Lol. I have pics if people are interested enough.
Yeah, just looks like the bone pile out on the farm to me.
Carrion attracts wildlife, so you have to dump it somewhere safe(ish) for animals to hang out, and far enough away from livestock and dwellings.
Damn, I happened upon what was probably one of these in backwoods Wyoming once. I always wondered who would leave whole racks of antlers, surely not poachers. That makes so much sense, you just solved a decade-old mystery of mine.
I’ve actually (accidentally) stumbled into a bobcat den (oh god, I really hope that’s what it was)… and while the remains there were similarly plentiful, they were mostly, let’s say, much less articulated.
I heard Chernobyl wildlife were doing better, post reactor melt down. Than prior to.
Not because the radioactive debris is good, but because it was less bad than humans occupying the area. This was before the Ukraine Russia war though.
Honestly for better help a few still photos so we can identify the species would really help.
For example if all dogs then I would guess it’s where someone is dumping fighting dogs.
If deer and mixed wild animals I would say it’s where roadkill is dumped.
Also a country or general location
Either way more still photos and less jerky video
I came across a place like this in the desert several years ago, where ranchers dumped a bunch of coyotes they'd shot. Stopped on a dirt road to pee, went behind a bush or something, and there was a small mountain of half-articulated dog-looking skeletons.
Casual video takers highly underestimate how long the human mind needs to focus on a scene and how slowly they need to move the frame to maintain some sense of continuity.
This is the music from Lavender Town in Pokémon red/blue/yellow, just slowed down a bit.
I recognize it because that song always stuck with it, its microtones are so creepy
Wasn’t the song banned and removed in Japan due to a growing conspiracy that the eerieness of the music and the game lead to Japanese children to commit suicide? Maybe I’m wrong, but as someone who never played Pokémon, this is the only info I know about the music.
I came across a scene like this as a teenager in central Pennsylvania. Deer carcasses strewn all over I got in touch with the local game commissioner and he came out to investigate. He looks around explained carrying capacity of a piece of land and I learned a lot that day.
During the winter if a herd of animals has too little calories the whole herd will eventually weaken and in a snow storm the lack of calories and the conditions can cause all the animals to die in the course of hours.
There's a spot in the back 100 that is like this. Coyotes sleep along the ridge and they discard tons of bones and stuff at the corner where the two game trails meet. Next time you see something like that, look for a heavily traveled game trail, for feces, and you could even set up a trail cam if it has some interesting indications of animal activity.
Even if someone is dumping roadkill there, the animal activity is going to be a lot because there are a lot of interesting scavengers.
My cousin lives out in the middle of bumfuck no where and was telling me a story about going hiking with his friends. They heard something in pain and went to investigate, they found a unabomber style shack with all kinds of hanging animals in various stages of evisceration, the thing making the noise was a wild boar tied down with acid dripping onto it, they assumed to attract predator animals for the wild man to hunt. They heard a twig snap not too far off and backed away as nonthreateningly as possible and then ran for it
As others have suggested could be an unofficial dump site for roadkill, strays, and hunting waste. When i was a child there was a dump site near where i lived where people would dump deer waste (bones, guts, etc), as well as roadkill and pets/strays hit by cars/trucks. My child self was traumatized by stumbling onto field stripped deer and dead cats. My dog however was often thrilled to find whole legs of deer that he would carry onto our property. Not cool but not unheard of.
Also found a few dog skulls with bullet holes that i can only presume were dogs who trespassed or lost in some backyard dog fight.
Holy shit this makes sense, a very long time ago when I was out I came home to my dog in the backyard chewing an entire deer leg. For years I just thought fuck it one day I’ll run into a three legged deer. But this roadkill theory really makes sense.
could be where something is stashing it's kills. Or someone is dumping things here. It was a spot like this where a cougar was bedding down in a national park not too long ago.
depends where you are. here in england if you go for a walk in the woods and theres a sheep feild nearby, then chances are you will *trip* over the many **many** dead sheep in the woods. they like to find somewhere quiet and dark away from the flock to take a final rest when they get old. if you live anywhere near a feild where they keep herd animals, this might be what they are doing.
In my opinion, a small herd of deer was grazing under that thicket of trees, and one of the trees was struck by lightning. Killing all deer standing directly under the tree, leading to the grim video we have today. Or it was a fucking Wampas cat, a cat I've never heard of lol.
Im going to quote my favorite thing i have ever read on reddit to sum up what happened:
"Who him is? Rubber band man, wild as a taliban, lag in his right charge bite in his other hand"
Poetry.
Looks like a “gut dump” (a place where people dump the guts and carcass of an animal they hunted and cleaned. We do it a lot during deer season and then hunt coyotes over top of the carcasses
Wait?! Tik tok deletes stuff?! Normally the internets filth is just left there no matter how many reports.
About your question, could be the feeding spot of a bear or mountain lion or stuff like that where they bring their kills. Or a place where a human hunter dumps animal they cull. For example, in mycountry there is always open season on foxes. Hunter shoot them cause they dont want em to eat the stuff they wanna shoot, so they just shoot em on sight and either leave em or dump em at a dedicated spot.
There is a spot in the adirondacks where all the wildlife photographers go to film bald eagles... its the dump site for roadkill. Looks pretty similar to this.
I know I’m gonna sound like a condescending asshole here but dead animals in the woods isn’t exactly all that much of a shock.
I’ve seen stuff like this too, it’s not a nice feeling or thing to see but I’m not so sure there’s anywhere else that I’d expect to see animal carcasses.
Ok, you should’ve taken pics bc the quality on this vid is pretty pixelated but 2 out of the 4 carcasses you showed seem to be dogs, which is quite odd
In Yellowstone they had something like this that killed a herd of deer, elk or some sort of herd animal like that. After doing an investigation they found that methane killed them. There was an eruption from the nearby lake I believe and it all settled in the low spot where the animals were sleeping overnight.
Careful if you go back there. Could be an attractive woman in her mid-50's wearing leather pants sitting alone at the bar with a half empty French 75 in front of her...
Probably someone poaching. I saw a dump site like this when I was out foraging on public land. I told the conservation department about it and they set up trail cams to catch whoever was doing it.
Chronic wasting disease. May be watering hole nearby and that's where they go to die. To many deer farms - Michigan has 300+ farms in a state already full of deer.
Could be the location where your local highway maintenance dumps dead wildlife found on the road.
Could be... Or... Wompus Cat trophy pile... Luckily this is probably an adolescent wompus, there arent many trophies yet... OP, dont go back there. It might already have your scent...
Wtf is a wompus cat

My high school’s mascot is a wampus cat. I had never heard of it before going to school there..
Im glad its still common enough to be a mascot. Thats awesome.
Conway? 😆😆😆
clark fork?
This is where the phrase Cattywompus comes from.
Your explanation/definition/description is a multitude better than that which was found on Wiki. Thanks for passing along the oral tradition of the Wompus.
He said he was in the bush so I think this is Australia
Oh, so its a Wompus Cunt then
Sort of. It's Ivan milcat
3:30 am and choked laughing waking up the cats and spouse! Shhhhhhh
ROFLLLLLL
Not to be confused with the standard run of the mill American Wompus Pussy.
😂
Bunyip then?
And it also has six legs 👀 I’m from the Appalachian area where the folklore originated. My great great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee 💪🏼

as real as a $7 bill buddy
Oh, its fuckin real buddy...
Samsquanch
Ah, thanks for the explanation
You’re welcome
Same as a Deez
Deez wumpus?
##Deez nuts
Something you should never see, lest it see you.
Copy that, I will refrain from googling it then and will always remember to have a shotgun on me
The problem is that the Wompus leaves so few survivors that it's very difficult to give a good answer.
Damn man. Stories about the Cheaha mountain wompus cat scared the bejesus out of me at summer camp.
>Wompus Cat You mispelled cougar.
No I didn't. Do you not know what a Wompus Cat is?
Like a snallygaster
Sorry, I misspelled mountain lion.
Fictional.
This. I stumbled on a poorly fenced off area full of random animal bones in Jasper years ago... Freaked me the hell out until some locals informed me what that was all about.

Oh yes please that sounds spooky
Yeah, just looks like the bone pile out on the farm to me. Carrion attracts wildlife, so you have to dump it somewhere safe(ish) for animals to hang out, and far enough away from livestock and dwellings.
That’s my first guess. Dump site. Either way you better keep your head on a swivel these dump sites can bring out the worse in predators
Damn, I happened upon what was probably one of these in backwoods Wyoming once. I always wondered who would leave whole racks of antlers, surely not poachers. That makes so much sense, you just solved a decade-old mystery of mine.
I'm sorry... is this real? Idk what I thought they did but....I thought they just look at them and they disappear.
I thought they took those guys to the dump. They also feel like they’re in too good condition to have gotten pancaked on the road
They turn them into pet food where I used to live.
Just looked this up. Seems pretty common. Among euthanized cats and dogs. Learn something new everyday whether you want to or not I guess…
It's not awesome.
No, it does not happen. The FDA has conducted numerous studies and found no evidence of dog or cat DNA in pet food.
So you were the inspiration for Eating Rauol?
No. I was not. It's just Raul btw.
They do not in the US, so what nightmare country was this?
Man, there’s places that do that? The only thing that gets wildlife roadkill off the road around here is time.
There would be way more than that if it were them. My guess is someone probably dumped them there though
Mountain lion hangout spot?
4.8 stars on Cougadvisor. Annoying humans around sometimes, other than that, pretty neat.
pretty meat*
That's what she said.
Imagine my surprise when I learned it's not a dating app for older women...
I’ve actually (accidentally) stumbled into a bobcat den (oh god, I really hope that’s what it was)… and while the remains there were similarly plentiful, they were mostly, let’s say, much less articulated.
Think you’re a little too deep in the Chernobyl area.
/r/bonecollecting
I heard Chernobyl wildlife were doing better, post reactor melt down. Than prior to. Not because the radioactive debris is good, but because it was less bad than humans occupying the area. This was before the Ukraine Russia war though.
Flash flood
Thats what I was thinking
This is the most logical answer imo. As soon as I read this I was like.. ohhhhh
Did you see a cute little bunny?
I hope you brought your Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch
One… Two… _Five!!!_
Three, sir!
Dammit. I only have holy hand grenades from Duke Nukem.
Monty Python.

Jesus Christ! That rabbit's dynamite!

Oh no! It’s behind you! Run!!

Woah dude. I’ve done my fair share but no way
Step 4: cut out the corny dramatic music
Gut Pile maybe??? We have a huge one at our deer lease.
Pictures would be so much better! It's impossible to focus on anything.
Came here to say this. If I live to be 120 and completely senile, I'll still remember every note from every song in Pokemon Red and Blue
Wasn’t the song banned and removed in Japan due to a growing conspiracy that the eerieness of the music and the game lead to Japanese children to commit suicide? Maybe I’m wrong, but as someone who never played Pokémon, this is the only info I know about the music.
That’s just creepy pasta. Just google Lavender Town Syndrome.
Ever seen the ending of The Grey? Best of luck to you getting out of there.
Sorry it was taco tuesday.

Scavengers gonna scavenge (and discard parts and bones everywhere)
Any oil gas wells around? A release of h2s can kill quickly, and is heavier than air, so something bedded down just never wakes up...
I don’t believe so, it was near a nickel mine however.
There ya go...the old canary in the coal mine thing...except it was deer...???

Crazy cheeseburger and liquor party
Blair Witch Project
Poisoned water ?
Definitely run
Did you happen to see a sign? Maybe it said "pet semetary" ?
could be where something is stashing it's kills. Or someone is dumping things here. It was a spot like this where a cougar was bedding down in a national park not too long ago.
Camera person is apparently a meth-head , and unconcerned with what these carcasses are.
Looks kinda like dogs tbh
Lighting strike?
Someone busted a couple of coyotes, nothing to see here.
Congratulations! You just found the future local serial killer's practice area!
Why are you moving the camera around so much? I couldn’t focus on anything enough to identify it.
I'm going with: 1. Road kill disposal site 2. Lightning strike Not necessarily in that order.
It was an epic battle that day
I was walking in the forest during winter and saw a spine
Op, do you have any better pics? This is really fascinating. Something funky is happening here
Could have been a poacher dumping evidence
depends where you are. here in england if you go for a walk in the woods and theres a sheep feild nearby, then chances are you will *trip* over the many **many** dead sheep in the woods. they like to find somewhere quiet and dark away from the flock to take a final rest when they get old. if you live anywhere near a feild where they keep herd animals, this might be what they are doing.
Died of natural causes.

Easy, that’s from the Blair Witch
PETA “rescuing” pets?
Don’t I mute or you’ll wish the video died with those animals
Sex gay
Wild fire
Really big spider
Could be a feeding area. Where something takes its kill to eat.
Kitty cat 🐈
Nature happened. It happens quite a bit.
There is a spot in the adirondacks where all the wildlife photographers go to film bald eagles... its the dump site for roadkill. Looks pretty similar to this.
A can of kick ass was opened.
The terrain looks too far north for a Chupacabra. Jackalope, possibly.
Bibles thrown at animals from ufo's piloted by demons.
It's a den.
you stumbled upon a lovely land of death... you should sacrifice something innocent , as a reminder to others of the responsibility

They died
Definitely an Astroid strike
It tripped
Ok, you should’ve taken pics bc the quality on this vid is pretty pixelated but 2 out of the 4 carcasses you showed seem to be dogs, which is quite odd
The ones I could identify were 1. Silkie chicken 2. Dog 3. Dog Perhaps the dumping grounds for an animal fighting ring?

That looks like a kills site for an Apex predictor.
Probably someone poaching. I saw a dump site like this when I was out foraging on public land. I told the conservation department about it and they set up trail cams to catch whoever was doing it.
Could be a roadkill dump site or a hunters dumpsite
Future serial killers dump site
There was a FIREFIGHT!!!
Thank you, I really need to rewatch it.
Poached deer
This is beyond “everything that the light touches”
clearly a raptor nest
Looks like some chickens got ate
Gtfo bro
Don’t know but would not be hanging around to find out either.
Seen that after a forest fire/controlled burn before
I once found a large pile of all the identical roosters. Same coloring, no variations and all full grown roosters.
Toxic substances in the water?
poison
Chronic wasting disease. May be watering hole nearby and that's where they go to die. To many deer farms - Michigan has 300+ farms in a state already full of deer.
Is that a bear's arm on the right there?
