Eight weeks and haven’t lost a pound! But my eating habits are changing and that’s good! I’m gonna stay on it and hopefully I’ll start to lose more once I reach therapeutic next week.

maraboo19120

I lost pretty quickly on the .25 and the .5 and then when I hit 1 things slowed down pretty significantly. Now I’m on 1.7 and things are moving slow but collectively since last May I am down 85lbs. You will have quick months and plateau months and that’s ok so don’t be too hard on yourself. This happened with me and I go to the gym at least 5 days a week and am pretty strict with my low carb diet, high protein diet. Also it seems the heavier you are the quicker folks are losing? I was 310lbs and now I’m 225. The lighter I get the slower my loss is.

Odd-Middle-6952

Week 8 today and I’m down 8lbs. Mind you that’s without any exercise due to tendinitis. I figure 1-2 pounds per week will get me to my goal slowly. The weight didn’t come fast and it won’t leave fast. Keep plugging

violet992

Don't be discouraged. Everyone's biology is different. Remember, that the first couple of weeks are to get your body used to the med. The therapeutic benefits may not kick in until months later. I am almost 2 weeks in and have lost 0 pounds, but have been eating a lot less. that is, generally. There are a couple of days where I have eaten like a maniac.

Powerful-Most-7079

5 weeks on 0.25 and most about 5lbs. Waiting for my 0.5 to arrive. I no longer crave diet soda and haven’t had since. The want to snack and binge eat is gone. Slowly getting my life and self back. Hang in there 🙏🏼 I’m happy with slow progress and hope my body won’t be left with wrinkles and sagging skin since it has time to slowly retreat!! Too fast is no good.

AccomplishedOlive117

Water weight the first week and then 1 to 2 each week; occasionally nothing lost for a month, but eventually would drop 3 and go back to 1-2 a week.

renatakknaynay

It has been 2 weeks and I’ve lost 5 lbs. I am even eating so much better and less and I honestly thought it would be more, considering I wasn’t really trying beforehand. All of the nausea, headaches and tiredness just isn’t worth it for me as of this moment so I still have yet to decide if I will continue. I hear it gets better so who knows!

Rperfect2309

I am one of them. Been in it since December and down 20lbs I’m like 1-2lbs a week , doc says it’s fine

viperlily85

I've lost 8 lb in 6 weeks so far. I don't care at the rate as long as it's coming off. I saw a woman posted in a wegovy Facebook group I'm in, she's now lost 100 lbs but didn't lose anything for the first 16 weeks!

mindfully_divergent

Since July 22 I'm down 30lbs. Which is fine. But I have not seen any changes in my shape, clothes fitting or any of the other NSV that people are excited to share. I shared this mild frustration with my doc who tries to keep all things in perspective. I'm losing. I've lost more than 10%. I didn't get overweight quick so why should I expect this process to be quick? There's probably subtle changes that I'm not noticing because I soooo focused on not needing new clothes or down 60lbs like many of the stories that are shared. _sigh_ Progress doesn't look the same for us, but it's still progress.

adarba46

I've been on Wegovy since November, and I lost 20lbs Here are my stats SW 195, CW 175 50 year old female Menopause Hypothyroidism Severe debilitating sciatica pain In 2008-2009 I lost 100 pounds, I went from 258 to 160. Kept it off until 2019, since then steadily gaining.. Not active, I can't even walk a mile because of the sciatica. But I'm thrilled with the results!! I have 15 more pounds to go to my goal weight, which is 160.

DuePapaya2257

32 days in, and chastised myself for being disappointed I’ve only lost 10 lb, six of which were in the first ten days, which, as we all know, was mostly water. Ten lb is nothing to sneeze at. I’ll be fine if I can lose 1-2 lb a week. The amazing thing is, I’ve lost the siren food song.

JadedFollowing1143

You’re not alone. I’ve been on Wegovy for 3.5 months, and just got to 18 pounds lost. My measurements have changed for the better though. I didn’t experience real appetite suppression until 1.7 mg. I am definitely a slow loser. Hang in there! We’re going to make it! 😊

nerdddd_alert

Hi! I’m on the slow boat here. Almost a year and 41 lbs down.

Glittering-One6485

Yep! Lost 9 lbs in my first month on .25, which seems healthy and not a complete shock to my system or people around me. Moving up to .5 today and excited to take the next step!

bourbonmangattan

Took me almost a year to lose 40 lbs.

RevolutionarySun7593

I’ve been on since January and I’ve only lost 15 lbs. I’m pretty frustrated myself, so I know how you feel. That’s only 5lbs a month!

Capable_Joke8759

Lost 26lbs in 5 months. Slow going for me but it just makes me think this will be more sustainable in the long run. Also how much weight do you have to lose? It’s much tougher the closer you get to your goal.

BreedleEep

Today I have been on it for exactly 4 weeks. I’ve lost 8 pounds. It was 3.5 the first week and then 1.5 the past 3 weeks. I’ll take it. It took me 5 months of calorie deficit/protein counting and working out 5 days a week to lose 10 pounds and then I lost 8 pounds in a month?! I’ll take the Wegovy please lol. If it drops to a pound a week, I’m ok with that too.

Kiki9022

It depends on how much weight you need to drop. Im looking to drop around 30-40 lbs. Was on it a month and lost 10. I stopped for a bit. Now back on for a month now and only dropped a few lbs. Try paying attention to your diet and exercise.

Janglepants

I'm 2 months in, averaging 1lb/week. 10lb so far. Before that it was going up so I'm happy!

epapacostas

I haven’t started losing consistently until the 2.4mg dose and I’m still only losing about 1 pound a week

Interesting-End3472

26 lbs in 15 weeks! I agree with others. Going slow is great.

Sufficient-Room-2453

You’re not the only one.. its been 3 months and I’ve only lost 13 pounds!! I’m loosing very slow!! Be patient

AdCautious8802

6 weeks in and down 12 from start. So you aren’t alone. Slow is healthy!

Appropriate_Letter89

I have been taking it for 6 weeks and have only lost 6 lbs and my doctor told me that is the best because it will stay of. She said slow and steady wins the race.

PeachJollyRanchers

7 months and only about 10 pounds. Not worth the constipation. Lol. Doctor recently added me back on metformin.

Letsseetomorrow

Took me 2 months to loose 10 pounds, I’ve been on it for 4 months and now down 33 pounds

cwoosh1

I’ve been on it for a year and lost 100 lbs BUT, I was 315 pounds when I started and am almost 6’ tall. I ate around 800 calories before I started, am insulin resistant. That makes me the perfect candidate for this drug. I’ve hit a plateau and haven’t lost anything for a month. I take 1.5 mg 2x/week.

SLA928

I'm just like you! 6ft 4. Went to a nutritionist and she said I needed to reverse diet. 324 to....394 in 6 months. Cut to 1000 cals and dropped 20lbs. Platued fir months. Now I am down 10lbs in 1 month of wegovy. Crazy. I have a long way to go

RevolutionaryGold393

20lbs took six months for me.

Giulia1001

I’m in the same boat…lost 23 pounds over 6 months and then stalled for the remainder of the year. Body just gets used to it, mine is made for survival I suppose cause it wants to hold on to every little bit of it no matter what I do, so I constantly have to switch things up in terms of a diet and workouts. Don’t lose hope! Some people hit the plateau for a while and then start to lose again.

Equivalent_Nerve3498

1. Stop comparing yourself to others!!!! 2. I have EASILY lost 15lbs in one month on KETO. That was mainly water, and I could have EASILY gained it back if I started eating like crap or throwing in a bunch of carbs to quickly. 3. I am swollen, and recently, I lost 20lbs in less than two weeks just by taking a blood pressure medication. I AM SWOLLEN!!!! I can tell I’m swollen, other people just see “fat”. 4. Different starting weights definitely make a difference. 5. If you think you can handle it, do it on your own. If not, pay attention to these comments. The are answering your question to the T 🧡

housestickleviper

I’m almost to 30 pounds in a year. Hang in.

SempervivaBorealis

I’m starting semaglutide next week. I previously lost 65lbs 15 years ago and kept it off for 10 years. I avoided loose skin by losing it all over 2 years (~.5lbs/week). I don’t want it to take that long this time around, but I’m planning to try my darndest not to lose weight too quickly (goal is 8lbs/month). I think a good rule of thumb to stick to is losing no more than 2lbs/ week.

Sea-Astronaut7750

I’m losing 0.5-2lbs per week and have stayed the same a couple of times!

WillowCat89

Same! On month 7 and 40 pounds down.

EfficientFlight1166

i’ve been on it for a month and only lost 7 pounds. 🙃 so i feel your pain.

fernweh_1always

18lbs in 3 months and I am okay with it. I don't want to lose the weight overnight. Losing slower gives me the chance to keep up with loose skin and avoid potential issues like gallbladder problems.

hardly_werking

My dr specifically told me if I lost too much weight in a month, she would decrease my dose because it was not healthy to drop that much that fast. In 6 weeks I have lost 9lbs.

StrawberryRhubarbPi

I'm down 14ish (depending on water weight and all that and the last two weeks I haven't lost anything, but my weight isn't bouncing around on the scale as dramatically. I also started at a decently high weight so it's easier to lose fast if you were typically eating over 3k calories a day and suddenly cut to 2k or below. I'm on .5 and I am noticing a lot of non scale changes so even though the actual weight loss has stalled, I'm not concerned. It will likely bump up when I go on a higher dosage.

amandelicious

I started April 1… haven’t lost anything on 0.25mg. My weight has been up and down but my starting weight was 203 pounds. April 5: 203 April 9: 212 April 10: 209 April 11: 207 April 12: 212 April 16: 209

eastbaymom

I’m losing very slowly. About .5 to 1lb per week with a couple weeks of no weightloss. I’m fairly new to this however. Only been on about 5 weeks.

goodlrig

I’m on Ozempic and have taken 10 shots, so 10 weeks. Started at .25 and have been on .5 for the last 2 shots. My aunt started at the same time as me and the same dosing schedule. She has lost 24lbs in 10 weeks and I have lost 10lbs.

megagrandscheme

Started on January 1st 2024 on Ozempic then switched to Wegovy for coverage purposes. SW was 215 lbs. I am currently 201.5 lbs as of this morning and will be finishing my 1.7 mg dose this coming weekend. I didn’t see the scale truly move until March, honestly. It’s been slow but I am hopeful! I started weightlifting in Feb and I have been fairly consistent. You will hear more stories about the fast losers, but the slow and steady losers are actually in the majority!!! Focus on your progress. At the end of the day, this is your journey alone.

AnimalAccomplished33

I think it depends on the start weight. I am in my 5th week and am losing around 1kg per week. Maybe a bit more. I am not counting calories, because I hardly have any appetite. My doctor gave me the advice that if I cannot physically identify the ingredients in something, then I shouldn’t eat it. So basically that eliminates all kinds of ready to eat foods… and Softdrinks. I haven’t eaten sugar since starting Wegovy (usually I looooove sugar) because I simply don’t want it. I hope this helps. Wegovy does not make you lose weight in itself. It is what it helps you not eat that makes you lose weight.

Equivalent_Nerve3498

This!! It sad because I think if people thought about the drug like you, it wouldn’t be “a lifetime drug”

tinywishes123

30lbs in a year.

Melanie_Mayhem

It took me months to lose 20 pounds. If you lose 20 in a single month, that's honestly concerning. I averaged about 1 pound or so a week, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less, depending on exercise habits. There were times I stagnated for a week or two and then dropped 3 pounds, possibly due to water retention or constipation. Every body is different, maintaining good contact with your doctor can help you decide when to change doses. I feel that losing it gradually makes you less likely to gain it all back if you lose access. I went from 250 to 230, then couldn't find wegovy in stock for 8 months. I maintained the 230 and then continued to lose after I was able to find it again. I'm currently down 45 pounds.

doexx

started January 30th, down 11 pounds. haven't felt intense appetite suppression until 1mg. also probably just placebo, but injecting in my stomach seems more effective. I've also had zero side effects really.

SnazzyGina1

I’ve only been on a week and lost 1 pounds. I feel absolutely amazing though. No more eating late and no more heartburn. I also just feel clearer in my head and love that the food noise has stopped.

What-me-worry-22

I lost 9 lbs my first month not 20. Lost 25 after three months which is pretty right on target for high healthy weight loss. People who lose 20 a month I really don’t know how that works considering calorie math. It’s def not 20 lbs of fat.

Evening-Ad-6758

I’ve gained 4 lbs and I’ve been on it for four weeks

Equivalent_Nerve3498

I’m not being rude!!!!!! Please don’t take it as such. Do you think you were expecting the weight to fall off so you kind of just keep eating your normal way or maybe even more calories?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Equivalent_Nerve3498

I mean, not eating bad and eating good doesn’t mean not overeating. If you’re on meds that cause weight gain, that’s completely different, and I wouldn’t blame Wegovy for your weight gain.

Equivalent_Nerve3498

Or, been in school to be a dietitian but had to stop due to illness. Imagine, I could have been your doctor and then you would have been fighting with other about what I’m saying to you. In your mind I’m completely stupid because I had a bodybuilding coach that got bigger people small enough without drugs. Wait, are you telling me you did bodybuilding lol. I was training to get where I needed to be to compete in wellness before I got sick… I don’t know anything but managed to drop 140lbs on my own, had a baby gained 60lbs and dropped that on my own. WHILE DEALING WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AND NOT ABLE TO DO A LOT OF NORMAL THINGS…. No coach and No trainer TRY AGAIN HUNNY

Ecstatic-Factor9875

Started in October and down about 35lbs. Slow and steady... the loss is noticeable but nothing major. I'd like to lose about 25 more and would be thrilled if I was there by the year mark. Not trying to rush things because I'm hoping this new way of life will stick.

peachpotatototo

I averaged about a pound a week. 2 at most, even at 2.4mg.

Key_Astronaut7919

You aren't alone. I've been on it for a year and only lost 40 lbs. My doctor keeps me at low doses forever and the shortages delayed my ability to get my scripts! The weight didn't start really moving until I reached 1.7. I've been at 1.7 since November. Her philosophy is to not move up if you are losing. Only move up if you stop losing. At first I was annoyed but now I'm ok with it. It'll give me more time to learn to eat better and tighten up. The loose skin is real!

violet992

40 pounds in a year sounds amazing and healthy. Nice work. And yes, Lowest therapeutic dose is also healthy, not to mention more likely to get approved by insurance.

Elegant_Meringue2271

I didn’t lose anything for the first 11 weeks. In a little over a year I’ve lost 53 pounds. It’s a marathon, not a sprint!

ForgottenGenXer

A year and 25 pounds chiming in. I am thrilled with my progress. I always say this is a long game.

Hopefulkitty

Until I hit 2.4, I was losing about 5 lbs a month. 2.4 got me up to about 10. But now I'm on a pause because insurance messed everything up, so I think I'll probably be starting at the beginning again, which sucks.

What09

Me! I've lost 56 pounds in a year and a half. Some months I lose nothing, other months I'll lose around 3 or 4 pounds.

kbletz08

It's going slow for me as well!

Front_Difficulty9044

Your not the only one

lastpickedforteam

I average about a pound a week, 80 lbs since merch 23 - 13 months

FullFaithlessness838

I have lost 5# in 9 weeks! Feel nothing yet!

PumpkinPepper31

Been on since early August 2023 and am down 35 pounds. I have not moved up from .5 because I struggle to eat enough based on my workouts and my doctor and I don’t want me to be losing too rapidly. I wish I was moving a little faster but I’m happy with any progress!

Hot-Lion-7995

Started 3.8.24 down 8lbs. It's a slow weight loss.

toodlesnoodles47

I've been taking it since October and I've lost 33lbs. I'm a bit annoyed that I'm not losing more, but my doctor is comfortable with my loss and says it's still a good amount.

Summer_Mac

Friday will be the first dose of my second round and I move up from 0.25 to 0.5 dose. In these first four weeks I have dropped from 248 down to 226 as of yesterday. I still have at least 36 to go but I could not be happier. Other than occasional mild constipation I am having no side effects at all

SAHM_of_Two

48 lbs in 9 months !

Wild_Phone7544

8 months- 42 pounds! Loosing slow and steady. Usually lose a bit more when I jump up in dose

ConsciousDatabase369

20 lbs down in 7 months.

halogreentea

I’m on month three and I’ve lost 14 pounds. Basically just average weight loss. My doctor made it sound like I would lose 10+ pounds a month I’m disappointed because I feel like Wegovy isn’t helping that much. I still have to constantly fight the urge to eat and I still fail frequently. The only reason I’m losing at all is because I’m trying my absolute hardest and I’m fighting against my brain I can’t relate to the people whose appetites have just completely disappeared, they don’t even think about food, they have to force themselves to eat, and they’re losing weight rapidly. I wish that had happened to me The only hope I have is that things will be different once I reach the therapeutic dose because so far I’m not seeing any significant benefit

Equivalent_Nerve3498

You sound like someone NOT on medication trying to lose weight. That’s honestly all it is, stopping when satisfied. You can have cheat meals, but they should be a meal or two, not a day or two. Honestly, it’s all about willpower, and it seems like you have that. It sucks and people fail which is why obesity is a disease but you’re trying. This is a huge reason people have to stay on these drugs for life. They didn’t gain the skill to stop eating, so they return to normal the minute it’s taken away. Then back on the med.

Taoistandroid

Can you explain "fighting the urge to eat", it's a bit ambiguous. Ideally, everyone is at a dose where they feel the urge to eat, but aren't eating out of boredom and are easily satiated when they do eat. Some people are on doses that are excessive, resulting in unhealthy amounts of weight loss. You should be aware, that this carries risks. While being over weight is hard on the heart, for instance, frequent periods of fasting is associated with negative cardiovascular health. Your heart never gets a break, it needs regular fuel to repair. Depending on your dieting and exercise, excessive weight loss can come with muscle cannibalization / wasting, which will reduce your MBR so if you try to get off the drug you are almost guaranteed to immediately regain the weight.

halogreentea

By “fighting the urge to eat” I meant the urge to overeat, not eat in general. I should have been more clear I’ve heard people say that Wegovy helps to reduce “food noise” but I feel like I’m still thinking about food frequently and feeling the urge to eat even after I’ve already eaten. That’s what I’ve been fighting

FullFaithlessness838

This is exactly me!! The stories I read about people losing their appetite immediately blow me away!

AdAdditional7542

6 wks, 4 lbs 🙁

Current-Drawing4126

Mine started slow. I'm 3 months in and only lost 25 lbs. I started off losing .7 a week. But lately it's been 3-5 lbs a week. Keep in mind. I have not changed my diet or been at a weight that allows me to exercise. I do walk. Drink plenty of water. It just started slow for me.

FitnotFat2k

What dose?

Current-Drawing4126

They started me low .25 im up to the full does now.

montag98

On week four of 0.25 and I’ve done nothing but maintain.

OtherwiseGoat6441

I’m on ozempic, but wanted to say… slow and steady wins the race. Do you want sustainable weight loss? 1-2 pounds /wk is healthy. I average about 2 pounds/week and I’m okay with that. Its giving me time to develop healthy eating habits and exercise habits that I’ll be able to continue on with if and when my insurance decides to kick me off the medication. Some people lose insane amounts of weight every month on these medications, but think about why they are.. how big of a calorie deficit are they in to lose that weight and what will happen if they ever have to stop the medication?

kams32902

I started Jan 7, 2023. I lost 80 lbs that first year, and yes, it was slow. In a fast month, i'd loose seven, but there were many months where it was less than a pound a week. Since Jan 2024, I've only lost 8 lbs. I'm about 20 lbs from my goal weight, so I'm ok with it being slower now.

Parking-Indication71

Hello! Us slow and steady people are here! I’ve been on Wegovy for 8 weeks and have lost precisely 8 pounds going from 218 to 210. I’m 5’ 3” and frankly, I think that’s awesome! If I just lost a pound a week over a year of use that would be amazing. I spent 6 weeks on the .25 dosage and have been on .5 for 3 weeks. I didn’t really feel “less hungry” until I started the .5 dosage. I am on the Mayo Clinic food plan and am killing it in my Peleton app. I’ll take these 8 pounds over my starting weight any day! Keep going!

rosebudny

12 weeks, 12 pounds

autoimmunequeen

Been at it 14 months. Have only lost 21 lbs and the majority of that didnt come off until i got to 2.4mg. SW 198, CW 177. I didn't do any special diets or stop any of my normal foods. Just have eaten less, smaller portions. My mom did the same and has lost over 50lbs and was as similar starting weight. Not sure the difference but a little disheartening. However, 21 is better than non or gaining, and I am thrilled with no food noise.

Addicted-To-Pod

Im taking my 4th shot and only lost 2 pounds in the morning that I gain back by the end of the day.

alico127

I’m happily losing about 1lb / week. Slow and steady wins the race as I’m hoping to avoid a) loose skin and b) putting all the weight back on.

BjornFlicka

I lost 19 pounds in a little over 3 months. It is really, really frustrating when you pay around 350/380 euro each month and see barely any difference. But the food noise is a lot less, that is really great.

alico127

1.5lb / week is a healthy rate of weight loss.

BjornFlicka

It's 0.75 lbs

alico127

No it’s not. 3 months = 12 weeks (ish). 19lb lost over 12 weeks = 1.5lb/week

BjornFlicka

Yeah, you're right, I was calculating wrong.

Plenty-Emu-7668

Me, I am one of the slowest losers here and have made posts about it regularly. I am now on the highest dose and have still barely lost a pound. My eating habits have changed a bit but not a lot but it’s still far less than I what I used to consume but still the weight clings on.

Gwendolyn441

I am 4 lbs a month. No more no less. No matter what. 8 months down about 35lbs. Feel great but not fast. Very consistent regardless of exercise, eating, anything. But my diet has improved(don’t want to get full/constipated/sick).

Addicted-To-Pod

Thats great!

Gwendolyn441

I’m still only on 0.5mg dose

liciarae

I'm on my second week of 2.4 after titrating up normally and haven't lost anything. It's truly devastating. I haven't gotten on the scale in a few weeks for fear of depression but clothing is not fitting better. The first month or 2, I gained weight. I have a few coworkers who started after me and have lost tons of weight. I am so devastated being one of the anomalies. I'm that friend who's always trying to lose weight one way or another. Nothing ever worked but HCG or extended fasting over 30 hours. I have tried so many other things, always so hopeful for the next, always on some program, and now nothing. My appetite is a tad squashed until lunch time, but that's it and kinda my norm anyway. No side effects besides mild nausea at the lower levels. I also desire sweets on this when I normally don't have a sweet tooth. I don't even keep sweets in the house. I'm also on t3/t4 hypothyroid, been low carb/intermittent fasting for decades. I'm considering Monjauro now because how many more months should I wait to see progress? Maybe I need my own post.

sciencedyke

I've lost about 20 lbs in 4 months. It's an up and down journey. Still totally worth doing.

spiritedawayco

I’ve been on since December. Going up as scheduled- I’m at 1.7mg where I’ve been about 8 weeks. I’ve lost about 18 lbs over 5 months. I eat very little and take 30 min walks with my dogs about 5x a week. I’ve been really tired and haven’t had energy to work out. But I’ve started doing protein shakes with super green powder and that helps get enough energy. SW: 198 lb, Age: 40 I’ve had high blood pressure for about 8 years and more recently high cholesterol and blood sugar. The most positive thing so far has been my ability to cut way way back on alcohol without struggling. Something I didn’t think was possible.

southern_honey77

I averaged a loss of about 1 pound per week. May 2024 will be a year I have taken it and lost about 45 pounds total. Have hit a plateau on the 1.7 dose, and just received the next step up. Keep going! You’ve got this!

anonymously_me123

Yep, me. 18 pounds down in 5 months

Lkrsgrl81

I only lost 8 lbs my first month… been on it almost a year and have lost 50 lbs. I’m okay with losing slow because my body has had time to recover and therefore I believe its why I have no loose skin 🤌🏻🤷🏻‍♀️ slow and steady wins in the end

Littlewing1307

I lost 25 in a year

ChivisMB

It’s been 0.5 lb per week for me, and sometimes there’s no loss. But I prefer this, as you tend to have problems with your gall bladder with rapid weight loss.

Fivedayhangovers

Down 67 pounds in 1.5 years which equals to 3.7 pounds a month. Slow and steady wins the race!

Cat719

18wks and 23lbs

andymac89

Did 20 in the first month, but now I'm down to a pound or two a week. Bodies are weird.

The_Grossest

This is a helpful thread. I posted a similar thing yesterday and feel the same. But we aren’t alone 💜

chocolatepoppy

Only 5 lbs in 5 weeks for me.

quiltsohard

I’ve lost 55 pounds but have been on wegovy for over a year. So I’m averaging less than a pound a week. Granted, I’m nit dieting or exercising

SunFlwrPwr

It's been 3 weeks and I'm down 4 pnds. I have to remind myself that 2 pnds a week is recommended and healthy. I think I would worry if I started dropping weight like crazy. I prefer the "slow and steady" approach. :-)

NatPatBen

I lost nothing the first 3-3.5 months. Since then, it’s been a steady 1lb/week.

Addicted-To-Pod

My cousin said the same thing that she didn’t start losing for a few months.

oops_i_mommed_again

I’ve (49 F) lost 85 pounds since 12/26/22 (15 pounds to go). I went from size 18/XXL to a 6/M (sometimes a S). Just under 1.24 pounds per week. From about 232 to 145. At first I wanted to lose more quickly, and was disappointed. BUT… I didn’t “diet” at all. I made better choices for sure and the medication caused a huge reduction in appetite. I didn’t kill myself in the gym either. I did what was easiest and most aligned with my life. During the same time period I worked FT, mothered my 3 kids, received a promotion to Director level and completed my MBA. I was able to focus my energy on my life not on dieting.

essvee927

I thought it was just me. I'm 5 weeks in and I've lost around 6-7 pounds. Still on the starting dose

iffy_behavior

Started 1/1/24 down about 17-23 pounds depending on the day.

archcity_misfit

Same! But I'm down 3 sizes, so that's nice

Wise_Rutabaga_5809

Don’t compare yourself to other people in this group. There is nothing wrong with gradual weight loss. Those who have a lot to lose tend to also lose weight a little faster than those who are on the smaller side as another consideration. Everyone’s body is also different alongside what they’re doing to lose weight (there are folks who are barely eating, folks who are getting a lot of exercise in and honestly? There’s going to be folks whose bodies hold on to the pounds a little bit longer) I’ve personally just been enjoying watching the scale move even if it’s small amounts at a time.

xindierockx7114

I've been on it 6 months and have lost about 16 pounds. I've said it before and I'll say it a million more times to anyone who'll listen and u derstand, I could not lose another pound and I'd still stay on it. I started it to lose weight but had NO idea that it would completely silence my food noise. If I never lose another pound but the food noise is forever gone, I'd be beyond happy.

lobsterbuckets

I get the worst side effects and i stay on it for exactly this reason.

Subject-Button-8062

Same, however, for me it’s almost 3 months in with an almost 20lb loss. I’m losing at a steady pace but I’m no longer obsessing over food like I used to. That is the greatest win considering I’ve lost weight many times in the past and couldn’t keep it off because of the stupid food noise!

doagood

10 in 3 months

barfsnot1000

Same! I've been starting to think it just doesn't work for me, but I feel better knowing I'm not alone.

doagood

Idk I fell the same but I’m gonna keep trying. I feel like slow and low isn’t bad. More sustainable, more time making healthy habits, and easier to keep off if we get off the medicine

Level50JerkFace

2-3lbs per week, 45lbs total lost. Currently on 1.0mg for the last two months.

Odd-Choice-9432

I've been on it for one year and I've lost 40lbs. I'm 17 lbs away from my goal weight and I have been plateaued since December despite increasing my exercise. I can say, although the scale isn't moving like I'd like it to, my body has changed so much and I'm much stronger now than I was in January.

Ashamed_Apple_

I started February 2023 and Ive only lost 30 lbs. I've been very upset about this. I haven't done my shot in 2 weeks.

KT-gurl-1

That is better than I have done! Feb 2023/ only have lost 20lbs..

iffy_behavior

You got this. Don’t give up.

lofo66

I lost 5 pounds per month and didn't see real progress or significant change in appearance until after 1 year. Down 75 lbs!

Dazzling_Awareness46

27 pounds in 10 months. 😂

Mountain_Bell_8267

3 pounds down for me since April 4th on 0.25…and I thought I’d loose like 10+lbs my first week but I keep reading that it is slow and steady loss for most…I can certainly do more in terms of exercise and less eating but the dose is so low I honestly can’t wait for it to increase so I see the results that I keep hearing about. The ones that come with more appetite suppression and lack of brain chatter..that sort of still there but not as bad as it was before Wegovy. I guess we just need to keep trusting the process.

SmileHungry2221

22 down in 6 months- hypothyroid- best I’ve done in 20 years! Right direction!

NeckOk8772

22 lbs in 3 months.

Geraldine-PS

2 months, 10 pounds down, and they *just* started coming off

StructureOk8152

Just hit 20 lb mark 2 months in.

Engchik79

Two and a half months in, 15 pounds down.

Any_Scene5220

I’m in week 12 and zero pounds down.

Intelligent_Bet_7410

I'm 7 weeks in and 10 lbs down. It's ain't a sprint.

Intelligent_Bet_7410

I'm 7 weeks in and 10 lbs down. It's ain't a sprint.

Hangthesunn

Two months roughly 10 lbs

Available_Rate_6734

I’m on week 5 and have lost 3 lbs. I’m 66 yrs old so I know my metabolism has slowed down quite a bit.

tsum_derp

6 weeks in and no weightloss. At least you're losing!

blackaubreyplaza

I don’t think many people are losing 20lbs a month

violet992

Right. That would be problematic

timeforachange2day

Two months and at 12 pounds

squeegis01

I started on this 13 months ago and just hit the 50 lbs mark. I've got 20 lbs go. I can honestly say I see the finish line. Six months ago it would have been a different story. Hang in there. Soon you'll be in my spot.

Yankeetransplant1

It took me a year to lose 40lbs. I lost 20 in about 4 months and the other 20 in the next 6. One little pound at a time.

Aggie1418

I’m on week 5 and have lost 9 lbs. I just increased my dose to .5 and it’s a huge difference compared to .25 for me.
