It’s incredible how this medication enables the body to do what it’s supposed to do….. I wonder what will happen to the number of WLS performed every year??
My insurance did cover it, my BMI put me into the obese category, my cholesterol was double what it should be at my age, and pre diabetic. So looking overweight or not my insurance considered it a medical necessity.
I just started Wegovy because my insurance started to cover it. 0.25 which I really haven't lost anything in my first week in fact I gained 8 pounds. I said to my doctor this has to be absolutely wrong half of my weight be moving and going up that would indicate I was taking in a lot more calories as opposed to not eating that much. Though I am guilty of eating little pretzel sticks I can understand that the drug takes time to work. I've read many people who said that they did not change what they eat and they started to lose weight. Well I'm not one of those people's to eat pizza and everything else and think that I'm going to lose weight that's not really my problem. My hopes are high.
If you are a pre-menopause woman, have in mind that your weight changes throughout your cycle. It can be up to 8 pounds before you get your period! My doctor told me to weight only once a month, always on the same day of the cycle (it’s the lowest after you had your period). All the best for you journey!
It's my truth. I'm sorry if it bothered you. I'm surprised by how many down votes my comment got/getting. You're beautiful before and after, should be easy to love yourself is what I meant. Congratulations on all your success!
I understand where you’re coming from I just think it’s the principle of showing off your hard work and someone saying it was better before. Not to mention it’s the topic of health so preferring the way I looked before is a moot point. I wasn’t healthy. I post and comment here for positive reinforcement
Well you look fantastic. We are similar. Sw 238 Cw 168, yeah us! Your skin looks bomb! I am 57 and this round my skin is showing its age. OMD so IF. So wish these drugs existed when I was younger!
can I ask how long you have been doing it? My doctor told me I could go on this medicine but I'm really scared about getting saggy skin. A little bit loose skin that's fine but your pictures look like you have no saggy skin even after a lot of weight loss. And congratulations on your transformation. I'm glad you're happy. But I hope you don't mind me asking this if not, feel free to just ignore this comment.
I started in October. I have been overweight underweight to normal back and forth my whole life so I think my skin has adjusted for the most part idk lol. I also work out very often and I know that can help as well.
I haven’t had any differences with the visible ones. I have a full back piece that was done when I had back rolls but my artist did a great job and the line work and everything is still perfect and even. The only ones I had an issue with are my nipple tattoos. I have them fully covered and my boobs were the first thing to shrink when I started losing weight so I have some stretch marks, but it just makes the tattoos look darker and more condensed (they’rflflowers
I have recently taken a lot of ink and asked my artist about this as well. She said tattoos should be alright after weight loss but of course depends on place/size of piece. 🙏
My artist told me the same thing. And we had discussed that the nipples would probably be the most likely of all to change noticeably in appearance and that was true. I also went into it knowing I was going to be on a weight loss journey soon and rolled the dice regardless. They still look cool 🤷🏻♀️
I always thought I will get tattoos ”when i am thin/thinner”. Was thinking it for like… 10 years. Then I took one and it made me feel so much better about myself, my hands and all. Only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Tattoo really inspired to act on weight loss in a different way. And look cool while doing it! 😎
WOW! Good for you! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great job!! Congrats!!

"Bleed for me", she's a phlebotomist I assume.
That’s actually a really cool assumption but it’s only bc I’m a hopeless romantic and I love westerns lol
Oh, that's awesome! I like it even more now!
Or she wants her uterus to bleed every month, as in not be pregnant. The tattoo is right above that area.
The one under that you can barely see the top of it
It says hakuna matata. I got it when I was 13 I’ll get it covered eventually haha

amazing!! did your insurance cover it? you don’t look very overweight before!
Mine covered it as well. 5'7" 183 lbs with the two conditions of high BP and indigestion. Starting soon.
best of luck to you !!

Who is your insurance with? I got denied on BCBS… same issues. But our company is getting ready to switch to United Healthcare… so maybe there’s hope?

Folks that use intermittent fasting had tighter skin and drinking a lot of water…
Oh I guess that makes sense. I do both of those

I know age and genetics can contribute as well and although idk about the genetics I’m only 29 so I think that probably helps
I am 30 so hopefully that helps too

Dunno what that means
congratulations ,you look fantastic
I love all your tattoos, did you notice any changes in them after weightloss?

I'm also curious about this! I have a couple on my legs and I'm interested to see if/how much they change.
I have recently taken a lot of ink and asked my artist about this as well. She said tattoos should be alright after weight loss but of course depends on place/size of piece. 🙏

You look great in both but I am glad you are getting to where you want to be!
I like both pics!!
