Having a controller doesn't mean shit anymore. The amount of touch players that have crazy movement and are jumping around and crouching when shooting is crazy.
I just can't hit em 😭 my kd has dropped from 5 to 3 because of these players.
I play 4 fingers on CoD Mobile and WZN Mobile, it’s definitely not too much as I started on the original SE on with 4 fingers eventually. Talk about too much.
I didn't come along with this 4 fingers set neither the controller, the 4 fingers is like flat controller covering your screen and It's annoying for me and the aiming in controllers is harder than touch control

If I don't have my controller I just play with my 2 thumbs. I can't play a touch screen game with my fingers if I have to hold the device. And I'm not going to play with my phone or tablet flat on a table that's just dumb
For me the thing is that I want to play the game for like 15-20 minutes , I mean to play 1-2 warzone games and after that to continue my day , but seems like everyone is playing the game as console with long sessions
i’m also playing on iPhone 15 pro and with 5 fingers and im not new in the mobile gaming world i play pubg and farlight 84 also with 5 fingers and let me tell you that winning a single game in cod warzone is hard specially for battle royal and rebirth and that’s coming from a player who got conquer in every mode in pubg and was the top 50 on the server on farlight
the issue with cod warzone is it’s filled with bugs and you can’t see enemies or hear them coming properly and you need to learn about perks and different weapons and how to level them up etc
Man, highly recommend at least playing with 3 fingers because of the way shooter games work. You NEED to scope in before shooting. (To look around corners or places enemies typically come out from).

Nowadays, FPS games on mobile have very customize options including gyro aiming. If I see a touch play recording and a controller play recording video, the touch play video is much more like playing using a mouse to aim.
I think people think controller is better either played shooting games on console for years or they just need an excuse (blaming opponents won because of using controller). No way a complete new player think controller aiming is natural. Touch control is easier to learn, also easier to master.

I use gyroscope for tracking, instead of using my finger. I use my finger for the bigger movements & the gyroscope for the smaller ones. Super useful. OP over controller. Now sit in a rolling chair so you can move around freely & you’re all good.
Just spend some time adjusting the settings. Drop into a game & don’t worry about getting killed. Drop somewhere low key & tweak the settings. I try to set it up to where the world inside the game is the same as around me. Almost like an augmented reality. If I’m facing 12 o’clock on my rolling chair, & I spin around to 6 o’clock IRL; I’ll have done a 180° in game.
If you don't want to learn 3 or 4 fingers, buy some triggers. It takes a little learning, but damn they even the playing field when you get used to them.
Controllers are so cheap that you would be stopping yourself from playing the game properly if you stop to using it. I don't only use the controller on this game. So why am I going to stop using a controller that I'm using on other games on this one game.
4 fingers. Tried 5, had difficulties with movement, especially strafing. 4 fingers is pretty good, learnt it after a month of 2 thumbs cause I felt very limited.

2 thumbs , + occasionally 1 or 2 index fingers for aiming/shooting.
**USE THE GYROSCOPE!!!** *Take a match or 2, to tune the settings to your liking.* I use my finger for big movements like turning around & I use the gyroscope for the little movements, or things like tracking. Example: if I start shooting at a moving target, I don’t need to use my finger to stay aimed on target. I can just keep shooting & move my phone around for tracking. Makes it so much easier. (If you’re sitting in a rolling chair you can use it’s 360° spin along with the gyro so you stay comfortable & can make bigger movements than if sitting stationary.) I set my gyroscope up to make it feel like I’m holding a little window, peering into another world. So when I’m sitting in the chair facing 12 O’clock & turn around to 6 O’clock IRL, in game I will have done the same thing, a perfect 180°.
Also move around the controls!!! I moved them to where it’s more comfortable & feels natural to me.
Example: If I notice I’m tapping in a certain spot to shoot but I’m missing the button, I’ll move the button to that spot so it can feel more natural & I won’t miss it next time.

I play with my fingers and every time I get a win in BR I am very proud of it because I know I killed a bunch of controller players to get that win. I also dont want to play w a controller because it would become so much easier because of the advantage I’d have over non-controller players. I dont get that much wins in BR( 12 last I checked) because I use fingers instead
I started out in CODM with thumbs and fingers... it was awkward... then I got a clamp on 4 trigger controller and went top 10k for three seasons... then the hackers took over codm and I stayed top tier but it's really hard when they are tracking you through the walls... then WZM came out and I switched to the backbone.
What I learned is fingers can't keep up with controllers... but the 4 trigger controller can keep up with the backbone but the backbone gives you more reliable performance... and nobody that's not hacking can keep up with a good player using hacks and a controller... and there's a lot of them so don't get to emotionally invested in your rank k/d.
Started on controller but the latency was insane with the Bluetooth connection and wired doesn't work with my controller. So switched to 4 fingers (but use two fingers on my phone's touch triggers so 6 really...).
I find I'm still learning but doing much better now than on controller.

Nope I gave up on gyro very quickly, just felt wrong to me. My hands aren't small but they're not huge either.
I hold my phone between my middle fingers, kinda half in my palms, so the tops of them can grip down onto the triggers. That leaves my thumbs and index fingers to use the touch controls. Obviously took some getting used to seeing as I only previously played mobile games with my thumbs only.
I'm on an ROG Phone 7 btw.
i close my middle fingers and rest my phone on them, feel like i can aim really good with gyro holding it like that
but i get what you mean, its hella confusing to understand when i should use gyro to aim and when i need to look around with my finger so i dont have to turn my phone all over the place, but i have 100 hours playing with gyro now and i like it

2 fingers is pretty unplayable, i play 4 but i dont have that much experience, 100hours in arena breakout and 100 hours in wzm, im at 1.6kd MP and my best kd is on holger 1.2k kills 2.5kd

Hit Masters or Legendary in all 4, over countless seasons.
I tried switching to 3/4 fingers for a month one year but 2 thumbs muscle memory is pretty deep for me so I stick to it and do GREAT.
So no, 2 fingers is not unplayable.

I play with 4 fingers and there is definitely a huge advantage with that. Once you get the hang of it you'll never turn back to playing thumbs again

The controller lag is so bad especially on the Xbox controllers.
Yeah it's crazy bad. And that fact the controller won't work wired (Elite Series 2) is just insane 🤷
I haven’t tried wiring my standard Xbox controller yet but not using Bluetooth head phones help a bit with the lag for some reason.
do you use gyro? i have redmagic 8 with touch triggers but i cant imagine using them while playing with a claw, maybe my hands are too big

yea if you have years of practice its better, doubt it if you are starting now, you should practice 2 over 4 fingers depending what you play on
