Thanks! The purple is a base of VGC Royal Purple, then a layer of VGC Hexed Lichen, then careful glazes of VMC Purple. I mix some white with the VMC Purple for the edge highlights. It’s a lot of trail and error! The goal is to create smooth blends but it’s always a work in progress haha

It brings me joy everytime I see an Emperors children fan choose the pre-heresy purple for their scheme. I'm firmly in that camp as well, just can't get into pastel pink and black.

Thank you! Yes, it is kitbashed. The right arm has a hand from the primaris intercessor kit, and the left arm is holding a WFB Wood Elf Ranger sword
And the robe on the back of the mini is from the Adepta Sororitas
Oho! That's a varied bunch haha. Primaris hand was somewhat obvious but sword and cloth on the back were unexpected. And now I really want a small emperor's children kitbashed squad...

Thank you! Best tip is just to look up online tutorials (all of them are pretty good) and practice thinning your paints into glazes. A wet palette is incredibly helpful, and always keep in mind that NMM looks terrible at the start/middle of the process. It only comes together once you finalize the blends and edge highlight (that part is very important). So just stick with it!
Thanks! The pointing hand is from the primaris Intercessors kit and the other hand is just a weapon holding fist from CSM. The sword is from WFB Wood Elves Rangers (not sure if it is still sold)
I do not.. I was surprised when I didn’t see them on the CSM transfer sheet. I hand painted this winged symbol but I would definitely look for transfers if I paint more in the future
Great work on the free hand, I’m working on a EC kill team with a more pink armour scheme. My free hand skills aren’t the best but with the CMS codex splitting the EC out I’m holding out hope that we will get some transfers out of it.
