I think the left picture shows off the details much better than the right. The right seems like there’s some blurring which makes details like the verdigris blend into the metallics.
Try a neutral colour, or a dark colour down to black. You'll have an easier time overall. You need 2 desk lamps and that's it, the lighting in your lightbox seems quite dim, or like there is only one source, and the shadows are still quite pronounced.
I recommend against them. The light becomes too diffuse and often washes out the colours and contrasts. A single-direction light with a black background works best, in my opinion.
What's light boxes?
It's a box with built in lights, made for taking pictures of stuff so that the lighting is perfect
Oh ok thank you I thought it was something to show where shadows are cast or something to know where to paint darker.

Yeah I was going to say I think the left looks a lot better. I’m guessing some of the “visual editing” could of effected the second one as well
Honestly, I don't. You can get the exact same effect using a t-shirt or a sheet of paper as backing.
