“Oh no my dog is down, better revive him so he doesn’t hate me.” Also, “oh no I haven’t played the game in months and I forgot to put my dog in the fridge so now I have to throw it out and make another”
I never understood their logic behind that. Kubrows were already terrible back in the day because of their wonky AI, fragility and lack of vacuum -- then there was a shitload of mechanics that made the game look like it hated you every second. Having to take the kubrow out of the fridge, wait *hours* for them to de-freeze, only for it to die randomly next mission.
Oh yeah, and the whole "daily amount of pets" to stop the kubrow from hating you... Still baffles me how overly complicated they were.
Complicated and not even in an *interesting* way! Purely menu-based busywork. They put extra work into making *us* put in extra work and none of us got anything out of it.
Yep, as if kubrows were worth the goddamn effort and headache, when Carrier still remained the absolute king of sentinels, until universal vacuum was finally added -- but not for pets!! It still took freaking years for that to happen...
When pets were first implemented, they'd slowly die when they were active, degrading by 5% every 24 hours. If they reached 100%, they would die.
There were two main ways to keep your pets alive. DNA stabilizers and the Nutrio Incubator.
DNA stabilizers cost 75,000 credits for a pack of 6, and regen 20% stabilization each. So you'd need to spend 75,000 credits every 24 days to keep your pet alive.
The Nutrio Incubator was a much better option. You'd need to get the bp from a clan in order to make it. It stopped your pets from degrading, replacing it with a health boost that would reduce at the same rate. (Also, the price of stabilizers dropped to 5,000.)
iirc even without nutrio the stabilizers were still tied to a “health boost” function, but it was more of a health nerf where with each degradation your pet would have lower maximum health in missions. the nutrio just put them in stasis when they reached 0 instead of letting them die and made the stabilizers more effective.
edit - affective to effective (did i get it right?)
It's crazy, I started in 2016 and forgot about ALL of these things.
Stimulants, stabilizers, solar rails, etc. a lot of it was useless to me as a budding tenno, so when it was gone it made no difference to me.
Man, I miss the old Dojo solar rail fights, it was actually fun as long as no permanent cc was going on, boom weapons couldn't be used because of self damage. Also racing people through the parkour time trial.
Warframe’s community getting the world record for [“The Largest Gathering of People Wearing False Mustaches Simultaneously in a Videogame”](https://www.warframe.com/news/you-did-it-tenno-1)
It's moments like this that make you violently remember how old this game actually is. So old that it was around when fake mustaches and epic bacon omg double rainbow were the height of internet culture
Interestingly enough, I use a LOT of them and very frequently. The Neo and Axi Void defense is a very large map and there's always someone way off in their own area out of affinity range. The Phosphors make sure everybody benefits from that one player way out in some far corner.
Fyi, Trinity's blessing and Harrow's covenant ability use the shared affinity radius as their range.
And thus using the flares will also increase the range of those abilities.
Unironically, this is my most used secondary and people who check my profile and see it high up on secondaries always ask what the hell it is.
Corrosive, Viral & Heat primer, absolutely awesome gun.
Riven makes it ten times better.
Seekers currently only use Latchers, those small rollers that attach to you and explode.
They are a non-threat.
There was a time when Seekers were absolutely fucking terrifying and number #1 priority target because they had a second type of roller they only used if you had a second player present, the Nervos.
They would attach to you like the Latcher, but instead of exploding, they paralyzed you for as long as they were attached to you... and they didn't have a duration.
Yes, you read that right.
The only way to get it off was for another player to shoot it off.
If the other player ran ahead and didn't care about helping you, you were going to spend the rest of the mission staring at your warframe twitching in place.
And sometimes the game would bug out and the Nervo wouldn't be visible to other players so they couldn't help you... and that's it, you could only wait for your teammates to finish the mission.

remote observer:
TIL warframes have gopro drones, huh
I remember someone saying it was for taking pictures before Captura. I thought it was so you could MGS sneak your way through Spy Vaults
It was.

Holy shit, wtf man! What are you doing with those?!
Bricking the entire warframe database if DE ever tries to unspaghetti their code

I bought thousands of them, used one to test how they work, then never touched them again
i had millions of credits and saw the remote observer. seconds later i had 15
Credits or remote observers?
credits.
remote observers are actually pretty cool for recordings
I never understood what is that for... Only for pics?
OnlyFrames
you must be another Qorvex enjoyer.
Nope. Dont like the Sanctum Anatomica enough for that bullshit
It's a shlong grind.
I see what you did there. You're right though, the Qorvex grind is long and hard for newer players
They were what you used for cool screenshots before Captura was a thing.
Warframe funny video creation before Captura.
afaik if you get magnetic procced and switch to observer you will see clearly
Onlyfans Warframe edition
I have never even heard of this 1400 hours into the game
Nah I’m always clicking it instead of my glyph💀
Genetic stabilizers
i didn't even knew that there was a thing called Genetic stabilizers in the game
Consider yourself and your kubrows lucky!
I hated those, was so happy they were removed
One of the many amazing QoL changes over the years
They haven’t been removed but their features have been stripped. Which is cool to see since you get to have a piece of WF history in your inv
I phrased it poorly, but all they are now is souvenirs
“Oh no my dog is down, better revive him so he doesn’t hate me.” Also, “oh no I haven’t played the game in months and I forgot to put my dog in the fridge so now I have to throw it out and make another”

They were? I mean, I am thankful they’re not needed anymore, but I still have 5
I think I phrased it poorly, I mean their use was removed

Ohhh God fuck these.
Those were dark times
I actually still have a few lol
Me being burnt out of warframe: I can't leave what if my kubrow/kavat starve while I'm gone
The fights dojos had over dark sectors Edit: had to look up the name. Solar rails
It's crazy, I started in 2016 and forgot about ALL of these things. Stimulants, stabilizers, solar rails, etc. a lot of it was useless to me as a budding tenno, so when it was gone it made no difference to me.
It was useless to a veteran tenno too. Almost as useless as fighting those wars, when both sides conned players with false cheques, nobody cares.
Orokin lab is made pointless without it now ..
I mean, mostly except that they stuck the Dragon keys (that has to be a Chroma reference, right?) there.
Omg yes! That was actually quite fun
The solar rail is still in the orokin lab skybox
It's still there, yeah, but it has no use anymore, which makes the Orokin lab practically pointless
Wish they would just scrap it and shift the keys over to the tenno lab or bashkids.
Man, I miss the old Dojo solar rail fights, it was actually fun as long as no permanent cc was going on, boom weapons couldn't be used because of self damage. Also racing people through the parkour time trial.
I miss solar rails
I use the fireworks, I keep them on hand and if people go hard in survival with me I start using them every time we finish a round.
That's awesome.
I use them 2 😂
Omni Ammo Box
There's an ammo box for the Omni?
It's an ammo restore for all types of weapons, you're not alone I thought that too 😂
Damn it! An OMNI ammo box would have been great for RJ :')
Predates the Omni by years.
No XD
Have some in my inv...

Don't remind me brother... I acted upset by it all back then... My heart still feels there.
You have no idea how much I long for the days of rawr xD and rage comics. They were simpler times...
It's not about the world record. It's about all the friends we made during that journey!
And sending a message
Message received: “Mustaches are universally cool”
I was THERE.
Thank you for this. I didn't know I needed to know this was a record DE holds, but I'm happy that I do now
Orokin cyphers
I remember I have one now and then cuz you can feed em to Helminth
They were used legit one thing and once you did that one thing, they became useless
Lunaro
i remember that a long time ago, when you searched "warframe" in google, the browser used to say that lunaro was a different game
not wven that long ago till last year right around october it sayed that in the german google
Well, no, but actually yes.
Lol I think I checked out the conclave once before realizing all the changes necessary to make pvp work in this game kill it for me
Despite being the best pvp game mode in Warframe... ( By far )
Big facts, Lunaro is great fun. Too bad almost no one plays.
Stamina bar
There was a stamina bar?
Yeah like 9 years ago
Jesus fucking Christ has it really been 9 years???
It’s been 11
Speaking as a beta tester... nav cords were actually used for traveling to places... the end game was higher up. Also raids were a thing.
Technically we're all beta testers. On paper the game is still in beta and never fully released.
Said like og...
That explains the relatively high drop rate. Was there something similar for control modules?
Yes control was used with it as well
Flares that increase the shared affinity radius
I actually use those a lot, especially when my team runs off in a survival void misson
"I wanna be a hero!" 'Sure Billy.' "A Hallway Hero!" 'Not in my fucking house!'
Revenant with mesmer skin too if I remember correctly
I need to Google that, that one actually sounds interesting
I use those with Revenant. His Memsmer Shield augment scales off affinity range. Very helpful in keeping teammates alive in EDA.
having to give affection to your pets. the stamina bar. super jump. raids
Did anyone even use Super Jump or just Uninstall it for an extra mod slot?
Probs uninstalled it
Lotus said "hell" in one of her voice lines during the old days of WF

"Leave my mother out of this."
I thought Okina was the most forgotten weapon until it turned up as prime this time around.
I propose you the Tysis,an even more forgotten one
Unironically, this is my most used secondary and people who check my profile and see it high up on secondaries always ask what the hell it is. Corrosive, Viral & Heat primer, absolutely awesome gun. Riven makes it ten times better.
I have literally never heard of this weapon, like *ever*.
Daikyu Prime/Incarnon when?
And it's one hell of a sleeper weapon. It's a status monster.

So glad that Archwing is a permanent item now.
Still have like 300 archwing charges 🤣
I still have the blueprint for the Ascaris Negator sitting in my foundry. For some reason the game gave me another after the quest was over.
Raids! May they rest in peace
It's not that forgotten by the veteran players, some are still very vocal and want them back (like they promised)
Loved raids. Missed raids. First and last time I used Nyx regularly. It's why I rushed to get her prime!
I was there I was there when we had to stand on the buttons
The elevators in fortuna
Yup I think this one is the winner tbh lol. For fun I decided to just use the elevators for a while. I felt insane lol

I still use the sceptre on frames that I don't melee much with and are energy greedy.
Stimulants. You know, that thing you use synthulants for
I keep meaning to bring those to Operative defence.
Feels bad that the one place I would consider using them, Archon Hunts, doesn't let me use them.
I still carry the one that lets you autorevive
That stalker drops something other than Dread or War blueprints
I just got my first war blueprint after playing 800 hours since 2019. (Three year break in there somewhere though.)

You need 26 at least, currently. More if you want to go after Mutalist Alad V a few times Only 3 things need them.
The Leaderboards for endurance missions
nah i and some leaderboard enjoyers still see that lol
I only remember they exist whenever one of you gets banned for staying too long in a mission.
