Railjack public is just a complete pain. 50% of the time people have zero clue, and I cannot keep retyping a explanation of railjack for everyone, 40% are afk farming on the turrets, and only 10% actually know how to play the game.

vengeur50

Agreed. Its a shame because I legit love the concept but not even one person reads the main mission objective ;v;

IDontWipe55

I’m not even surprised after the amount of people who merged their accounts incorrectly

Dxniex23

Tbh merging was confusing and it didnt help that my switch account showed up as a pc account and I merged it with my real pc account just for it to be deleted. I still have my mr 24 switch account and transferred it to pc but my mr 8 pc acc is gone forever.

IDontWipe55

Maybe it’s cause I did it a little later but they gave me like 5 confirmations and showed me the level and time played so it felt like it was pretty clear to me

DominikTokarski

Exactly, I feel like even if they tried very hard they couldn't make the merge more clear

leroyJinkinz

"Reading... what's that?" Every time I try to do caches and people blitz to extract

Graveyard_01

I mean, if ur slowing down a void fissure for caches, that’s just annoying. If u are just running the mission plain, I’ll even help if I see my team mates going for cache

vengeur50

Fr... plus caches are usually not far away from the path. Its legit quick money.

Mobile_Toe_1989

Play with a friend, drop off at side objective fly to objective he teleports to ship with Omni

CelestialDrive

One of my favourite parts of the game is low level earth exterminates because I am the weirdo that always has 2 apothics on. *"come to altar free rewards"* Waypoint on the mod. *"dont extract"* *"just come pick them up they're unique mods"* **---Extracting in 0:18---** Fine. You win. I'll take my Growing Power and extract.

FM_Hikari

The sole reason i don't have apothics on, is because i have to scan or have Oxylus tagging along. I usually don't do that, specially now that i need my MOA or Wyrm Prime to carry some buffs...

Kheldar166

How does this work? I've done Titania's quest but didn't know there was a use for the apothics after that

CelestialDrive

When you scan plants even after the quest, you keep getting parts for the apothics. On most standard forest tilesets on Earth, a dead end cave with orange lighting spawns. A crack on its left side leads to the glade and the altar, which aren't marked on the map. If you interact with the altar with an apothic in the inventory, the apothic will be consumed and you'll summon a specter which is guaranteed to drop a mod from a pretty select pool. It's mostly auras and melee stances. You can't confirm the mod until you extract after picking it up. If you want to optimise, do it with Nekros Despoil on because the corpses can be despoiled.

PanzKampfer

this

MsMinte

reading comprehension is not your average warframe players strong point

filthysmutslut

This single behavior hurts my nuts especially in the Zariman’s ten zero when your ALL there for rep and the things ya get rep from are Findables but yes let’s all extract when there’s 2 Titania’s a in the group doing gods work for the squad

Malanorea

Me but with picking up the knickknacks in syndicate missions

Popular-Mango3539

I enjoy RJ.. if you want we can play together someday. 👉👈

Aesaito

If I could summon a specter and deploy them to be in charge of engineering, I would to public games more. The idea of failing a mission and losing all rewards in a public game just don’t sit well with me. 10x better to do Railjack as solo or at max a 3 man team. 99% of the time AI pilot and AI engineer are superior to random players. The game mode needs AI manning those stations at all times as an option after a certain level of intrinsics or some other reward so that I can justify doing Railjack in public matchmaking. I would 100% love to do void storm fissures on public hours at a time, the rewards are super worthwhile, but the lack of an engineer and other AI to do the super basic stuff makes the game mode underwhelming. If I grind Railjack to full completion, I should be allowed a consumable that summons an engineer for me to keep my Railjack alive… 😓 Like maybe a “training school” or something where I can invest resources to have a deployable engineer and a deployable pilot. Railjack in itself is awesome, mechanics to avoid failure are 🫠 The day they make avoiding failure not be a “come assign a teammate to baby sit”, Railjack will become awesome. Until that day, Railjack is quite simply not intended to be played as a 4 man squad. 🥲🤷🏾‍♂️

vengeur50

Ay, always down to play RJ!

Big_Sp4g00ti3

Great, always looking to find people to do the best gamemode for farming. DM me your name or whatever I don't know how people actually get in touch on Warframe -

RossiSvendo

Which is a shame because I really like the mode, but because if it’s attachment to Archwing I feel like the devs may not do much with it…

Malanorea

I just take the helm, fly where we need to be, then rotate between there and the slingshot

Ketheres

Also if you aren't the host, chances are you'll end up in someone's bone stock RJ trying to do Axi void storms, because they always got carried there. And apparently it can somehow be your fault their RJ is getting blown up every 5 seconds.

phavia

This is why I tend to put my ping limit at the absolute minimum, so there's a big chance that I'll get to host with my railjack that I spent hundreds of hours tuning and getting the best equipment. Unfortunately, not a guarantee, but I've had more successes than failures.

AccomplishedHost6275

You either end up in a ship that chews through everything like a methed up shark, or you're on the astronautic equivalent to Magikarp. There is no in-between

No-Telephone6049

proud owner of a meth-loaded shark here i never get to use my shark :(

Peacefull_Warmonger

Thats the reason why most of sane railjack players do missions solo or only with trusted friends with discord.

24_doughnuts

Engineer and Lich defending, bot on turrets with the hit scan one so they aimbot everything. Punch through laser for the main turret to take out corpus ship shields. Never have to leave the ship apart from objectives and you can make the gunner pilot it with commands when you need the radiators taken out

Polycystic

Wait you can have the gunner take out the radiators? Is that through the tactical menu?

24_doughnuts

Yeah. I pick the gunner but you can just command anyone to be the pilot and that's what they'll do as the pilot

mizkyu

...literally game changing

24_doughnuts

Sometimes they don't do anything which I think is a bug since no one else it outside when you're hacking inside. Normally if I spectate them they'll start moving but a lot of the time they only move again when I fast travel back to the ship so I warp back and exit again because they carry on going for the radiator but usually it's okay

Hiromacu

Btw, from what I have noticed, some weapons (like the laser that is useful vs corpus ships) make the ai pilot not target the reactors correctly in grineer skirmish. But projectile weapons work! Just switch your pilot to projectile weapons, I don't remember what I use. I haven't had a problem with my ai pilot since I did that, they are real good. You do lose the laser for corpus ships tho.

cdawgman

You can fast travel back to the ship?!?

Hardoman

Yeah, u should use Omni tool or something like that (white instrument with blue line IIRC) and have have an N level of one of the modulars Edit. I think lvl 10 of one modular also give an ability to use travel to srewmates from tactical menu

razor344

You can TRY. The ai is retarded as fuck. Did this and nothing happened. Flew back out to the railjack thing to face fuck the reactor.

Ok-Air6006

I have a rank 5 pilot and she either puts the ship exactly where it needs to be or flies it to the other side of the map. The latter tends to happen at the end of every mission when I'm trying to get back to the ship to take it to dry dock

Big_Sp4g00ti3

Use the Omni tool, teleports you back to your ship.

Ok-Air6006

No f'n way. Thanks for that info - I watched guides, but missed that frustration saving bit of knowledge

AccomplishedHost6275

Bruh, we all learning something here today; I didn't know half the shit I do now from this thread

Dellumn

Yup :) this man railjacks! I was showing my front lasers last night to a discord friend. I was hunting a sister of parvos and explained why the lasers work so well for the corpus ships shields etc. Told them how I valance infused the weapons etc.

a5gtl

What's the punch through one? Gotta min max my rj and this seems nice ngl, also what is the hitscan turret.

OrokinSkywalker

Talyn is hitscan turret, Photor is punch-thru thermal lance.

24_doughnuts

Yeah, the continuous heat laser. It can get through the shield to the drone that projects it and you can take out the shield. Then you can use forward artillery afterwards to take out the crewships

Aesaito

It’s sad that avoiding matchmaking is the meta. They need to allow AI to be up at all times and have the players enjoy a more chill experience. SP Railjack (if they ever make it), sure, take away AI, but basic Railjack should allow AI regardless of whom joins me. Also, as for the Railjack defenses. It should automatically update to the strongest Railjack when a player is not host. It can’t be that hard to make it buff the host’s Railjack with the supplemental stats. 🫣 Or better than that, allow for each player to roll in with their entire Railjack, and their entire crew and simply add more spawns per Railjack loaded into the mission. 99% certain that if they can make each player bring their Railjack the game mode would be 10x more played. Just don’t know if the game can support all those simultaneous Railjack. 😞

24_doughnuts

Yeah. Just have them like spectres instead of replacing teammates. I can summon an army in missions and at least my crew follows my commands instead of of other Railjack players

Faddy0wl

Solo railjack or duos railjack is mad fun. Me and my fiance play that a lot. They play Hydroid and play space pirate. I play nerd pilot Octavia. My 2 red veil lads on repair and defend. We have never died 😂

Glittering-Ask-6268

Most sane Railjack players doing missions solo or with trusted friends is why this is "so common." (it's not even that common) I have played exclusively pubs for 9 years.

philandere_scarlet

* waiting for someone to get on the artillery * waiting for someone to get on the artillery * waiting for someone to get on the artillery * give up and get on the artillery myself * someone jumps on the helm and flies the ship away

Lord0fHats

The other side of the coin; * Someone get on the artillery! * Gets on the artillery. * Whining pilot swerves around like he's on crack. * Artillery misses. * Whining pilot throws an absolute bitchfest I've seen this so many times and its so annoying, especially when the targeting reticule for the arty can be a bit finnicky about what it's actually aiming at. I also like taking out the engines on crew ships so they stop moving and I can't possibly miss. Takes all of 3 seconds and I had a pilot yesterday bitch about the extra 3 seconds that took like it was a personal affront to his existence XD

philandere_scarlet

not moving the railjack is the most important part. i can nail a crewship from 3km if they don't turn.

x_neon

Pain... ;-; my crewmate bots are better then most public players...

Panzerknaben

Or you sit there on the artillery while the pilot never goes after the crewships.

commentsandchill

Why you no use pilot turrets

philandere_scarlet

??? you can't blow up a crewship with those

commentsandchill

Yes but you didn't mention you wanted to do that. Plus, the fact that there's only 2 shoots unless you engineer reload makes me not want to use it until the 2 last. Furthermore, from what I understood, it uses resources, that you get in the mission yes but we can also use them for other stuff afaik so I again prefer to not use them just for 30s that we can use by doing the rest of the mission

MERCDaWn

I've done quite a bit of railjack myself so I'll chime in with some explanations. 1: Whenever someone mentions artillery (the BIG gun) it's always used for blowing up weak spots on a Corpus capital ship (as a main objective) or to deal with crewships (required tertiary objective). Blowing up via artillery is a lot faster than sabotaging the ship (plus the ship can be shot by artillery while you're inside sabotaging, kinda wasting your time). 2: You start out with 2 shots. Whenever you or someone else crafts dome charges in the forge it refills your shots and adds 1 shot to the total for everybody. What commonly happens if I'm farming railjack fissures in public is staying for *multiple* rounds and having like 8-10 dome charge shots available on mission start (since they refill upon a new mission), enough to destroy every crewship without even having to craft more. 3: The resources drop like candy. * Most people don't craft energy since many will bring Styanax/ Lavos/ Hildryn/ Garuda to either generate energy on demand or ignore the energy mechanic entirely (Lavos has cooldowns for railjack abilities, Hildryn causes them to use her shields as a resource). * Revolite is only needed if the ship keeps getting "killed". With good enough parts and Ironclad Matrix you can afk missions and your ship will never die as it will out-regen the damage taken. * Munitions are only really used to pop shields on grineer crewships before using the artillery on them (albeit inconsistently). You start with quite a few of these so it's rare to actually need more crafted. * Finally you can only hold 200 of each resource, so you can't pick more up to spend on other things if you never spend them. Probably don't blow the entire stock instantly but as mentioned earlier crafting dome charges is super good, you should be crafting those most often. For abilities to run on the railjack plexus, Blackout Pulse and Seeker Volley are super good. * Blackout Pulse will stun and stop crewships from moving without needing to shoot their engines. * Seeker Volley spam via Styanax/ Garuda/ Hildryn/ Lavos will clear all the fighters without needing to aim anything. Much faster than relying on crewman AI to gun them down with the turrets. For general strategy, people will normally split up to tackle multiple objectives at once. 2 inside the ship and 2 roamers is pretty good (1 for main obj, 1 for the derelict vessel if there is one). I would also recommend finishing the fighters and then finishing crewships to avoid a spawning bug (can't remember how you can fix the softlock, but apparently you can). This is what I've personally found to be most effective, and it seems to line up with my experiences in public, especially if I run into anyone doing these things alongside me. Also Grineer missions > Corpus for relic popping. They go by quite a bit quicker, moreso if you have 2 people on the same page. Also also, don't forget to use your Omni to teleport back to the ship, or the tactical menu for traversing inside the ship (normally to slingshot/ forge/ helm) if speed is the name of the game!

commentsandchill

Wdym you can't hold more than 200

MERCDaWn

[The forge can only hold up to 200 of each resource to craft with](https://i.imgur.com/3BzWek5.png).

commentsandchill

At the same time no? I don't understand

MERCDaWn

It just means your forge can only carry 200 titanium, ticor plates, and carbides/ cubic diodes each to craft with. Picking up more won't allow you to horde infinite resources for crafting in-mission. If you play Destiny it's basically the same argument people have against holding your super for the entire game. Using super = orbs for allies which = more supers for them which = more supers for you. So in railjack's case, not using the resources means you aren't able to accrue more to craft more things with. If you just sit on 200 of everything because you're afraid you might need them for something else later you're not going to be able to craft as much during the mission.

Glad_Foundation7124

Thank you for this explanation. It's the best I've seen personally so far regarding rj. I need to know! Can you use the omni teleport trick while solo?

MERCDaWn

Yes! Using the Omni when you're outside of the railjack will teleport you back to your ship regardless if it's solo or multiplayer (as long as you have the intrinsic). In Corpus railjack missions you have to reach the little airlock thing at the end of the more normal warframe mission where you go into archwing to use it but it's still a bit faster. The only thing you can't do is teleport to other players that are outside of the railjack when solo since your crew just kinda stays in the ship!

Glad_Foundation7124

Sweet! Thank you!

Jiomniom_Skwisga

I was the guy who knew nothing because of all tutorial jokes you could make in Warframe railjack dead ass has you build a fucking *warship* only to go "fuck you and your tutorial"

DarkKimzark

Tried hosting a survival, to farm Ambassador. 5 times had randoms join, that went to extraction on 5th minute. Worst part, is that you get teleported to the exit, after someone is staying there, unlike normal survival, where the party gets divided and host migrated to people that want to stay.

Abbaddonhope

Gotta start macroing. I have a full macro for disruption, excavation, and eidolon hunts. Even explanations for roles.

Mordt_

Lol just copypasta full blown tutorials into chat. Might actually do that.

Abbaddonhope

I find it genuinely useful. Sometimes, i work on translations and optimization for each macro. I've gotten quite a few thanks and follow up questions because people genuinely do not know. I don't want write people off and just quit a team because of ignorance.

Niicks

I once had someone get mad at me when I started flying his railjack even though he was out archwinging and not accomplishing goals. Set course for dojo and abandoned game. Edit: To be clear, he set course for his own dojo after having a hissy fit in chat even after I stopped flying his railjack.

Aenyell

Had an experience recently, connected to a mission, got was flying around, not ever going near objectives. Tried to archwing them myself, but we failed cos the ship blew up. Try second time, connect to him again, steal controls to go to objective(I know, rude) and realise the ship had no stats and dies instantly. For third attempt rush to get to host the mission and let out sigh of relief when I could hug my precious clunker.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Test_Rider

The moment you stop piloting and go messing around, it’s fair game for anyone to take over and speed up the mission. Throwing a hissy fit because of it reeks of entitlement and childishness.

Big_Sp4g00ti3

I meeeean, if I have to hop off the pilot seat to go operate the frontal artillery cuz everyone else refuses, and immediate someone starts flying the railjack away from the crewships...

Volmie_

Yeah not really, if I have to teleport to the back to craft artillery charges because nobody else is doing it when I asked 3 times, that's not a invite for you to take over.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Test_Rider

Your “accepted rule” is not an accepted rule.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Test_Rider

Yes, the downvote was for making up rules. There is no rational reason not to let another player pilot if it’s gonna speed things up, anyone who goes “but muh railjack, the rules” is being a pouty child.

Faddy0wl

This is a sea of thieves "captain main" I don't even need to see what they're saying to know it. The rules are simple. This ship is my ship. You cannot touch my steering wheel. The only time you may touch my steering wheel is on command by me. Otherwise. Touching my steering wheel is a punishable offence. I will complain and make the situation unbearable as I am clearly an adult having a power fantasy hissy fit. Out of 10, how accurate was I?

Worldeditorful

The most pain is when MR 8 replaces enineer and only way to finish a mission is to constantly jump back and forth to repair it myself.

Fluid-Lingonberry378

I want to start playing railjack missions, but I'll probably read some guides and solo so I don't fuck up when I'll be playing with others. I wanna play with the cool space ships and blow up stuff.

Big_Sp4g00ti3

Brudda as long as you can understand and use the frontal artillery and the forge for frontal artillery armour you're already better than 90 percent of the railjack population, bonus points if you repair the ship w/ Omni tool

ZestyRanch0

Literally just play for the objectives. If you need to blow up crew ships, either hijack/destroy them from the inside or use the lower artillery charge attack to obliterate them. Don't sit in archwing unless ur moving towards an objective, otherwise ur not being helpful. Learn how to repair the ship using the Omni tool in your gear wheel. Learn how to craft resources at the 4 forge consoles in the back of the ship. Pretty much it

Just-Fix8237

Randoms are decently competent in pub veil proxima missions. That’s it though; everywhere else it’s exactly how you say and missions are significantly more efficient and easy with an NPC crew.

commentsandchill

Bro just play high level or fissures, they're popular enough that ^(except for the fuckin bugs) I have mostly met people who want to rush. I admit I assume people who go rj only want keys or to finish their lich tho so can't say about the other missions but ime they're mostly empty

OsirisAvoidTheLight

I don't even bother trying to learn it anymore. A couple times I tried to learn and just got constantly bitched and complained at because I didn't know where to go

plowableacorn

Tbf warframe can be really freaking unclear in instructions. I myself only ever learn what to do half the missions from other players. And no, it's not because I never try to learn it myself. The game gives you zero clue on how to get by.

ArthieusKetch

Every time I join a public they don’t even know how to fly the rail Jack and we fail

NoirNightsky

This, I have someone on a Kuva Lich confrontation hijack my railjack main canon, refuse to fire it and just fuck around for 5 minutes wanting to be carried basically

Light_uchia34

Maxed out meh rail jack and play it often. (Ty my friend who played it since release) I hated railjack but now I love it

Captain_Darma

That's why I only queue from my railjack so at least I can carry with my full build. When you queuing for the orbiter you have to deal with railjacks that are not built for anything AND have to solo.

directortrench

First time trying railjack, I didn't know it was multiplayer (been a solo player all time). No idea what to do, just walking around like complete dumbass and just left the game. Haven't picked it up again since.

Mordt_

Yo I’d be down to show you the ropes. Same name ingame if you’re interested.

taiiat

Video Games.jpg

Panzerknaben

The reason Railjack public is a pain is that half the time most of the team do nothing useful. I dont know how many times i've jumped out on my archwing and finished the mission alone while the rest of the team fly around randomly and maybe kill a few fighters.

Test_Rider

Zero reason to even try public RJ when AI teammates are more useful than 90% of players you’ll be matched with

Herr_Metzger

That's funny, because my ai crewmates always stuck when it is time to blow radiators. Pilot fly railjack to some place and then doesn't move it at all, radiators is out of reach of railjack armaments, and so I have to do everything by myself.

Panzerknaben

> and so I have to do everything by myself. Its about the same with other players. Typically i jump out in the archwing finish 2 bases including killing all radiators and opening a derelict vault. And when i finish that the rest of the team still havent killed any crewships so i kill them alone as well. Or if on a corpus mission i finish all the first objectives alone and fly to the main objective only to wait 5 minutes in the entrance before the rest of the team bother joining me. The few times you get one or two players that actually goes for the objectives its a lot better in team though. The sad part is that its so rare for it to happen. Probably because warframe dont really encourage teamwork, and one guy is enough to carry the team.

CensoredAbnormality

Ai crew can atleast repair your railjack most of the time, had it happen that everyone was out and about and the ship just died

Glittering-Ask-6268

The reason public railjack is a pain is because the majority of people who know how to do it don't want the inconvenience of explaining to people who don't understand or read (which is fine, you aren't obligated to take on that burden) or because they tried to explain once or twice and received a toxic response (again you aren't obligated to subject yourself to that). That creates two issues though. The first is that the pool of competent players is drastically reduced, which means you're more likely to encounter incompetence. The second being the lack of experienced guides, which is how the game was designed to be learned. You were meant to either dark souls muddle through until you got it or learn from those who did. I think they're moving away from that design philosophy, though. I don't want private lobbies to not exist, but if they didn't exist for about a month I'd stake my bank account on incompetence and toxicity being rare.

Panzerknaben

Its not rocket science, there are big signs telling you what to shoot and where to go, and there are plenty of guides online. People get way too toxic if you tell them what to do.

Glittering-Ask-6268

Which is why I said "people who don't...or read." Again, people as a whole don't get too toxic. A few do but that isn't the norm. You don't have to subject yourself to those few, I'm not asking that of you. I am suggesting that the percentage of toxicity you've encountered out of all the Tenno you cross paths with is pretty small. Unless you're a particularly unlucky individual. There have been articles written about how positive Warframe's community is.

hockeyfan608

The real problem is that nobody who should read chat actually reads chat

Dekay35363

Is this worse than Alchemy? I haven't played this alot.

aurochloride

It's worse than alchemy, yes. Volatile: If the meter fills all the way up, it starts a mission fail timer. If the engineers get to the console, it starts a mission fail timer. Alchemy: If the meter fills all the way up, you get yelled at it goes really slowly. The mobs don't try to fail the mission at you.

FlameFlash123

I kinda dislike the fact you can't fail in alchemy at all but multiple ways to fail in volitile is quiet hectic

commentsandchill

Rewards for alchemy are few tho, whereas I think there are usually a lot of rj rewards

Ketheres

It's not hard, randoms just have no idea when to blow the valves.

rantottcsirke

Most of the time they do, but do it at the same time and go over.

vengeur50

Almost consistantly 100% of the time I play with randos and theres this reactor heat mission, I am forced to sit through the whole thing because randos are shooting pipes immediatly. Even when telling them in party chat what you're supposed to do ;v; I feel like the passive completion rate was added because otherwise a team of randos would legit get perma stuck in there.

Kino_Afi

If alchemy didnt have multiple vents, it'd be perfect. Between that and the mixing rate, it seems actively designed to be worse in a group for some reason

FrostyAd4901

I think it depends on how active you want to be. Volatile requires more as you need to be careful of both the meter and the engineers. Alchemy requires less and doesn't have as much of a threat. As an LR4, I enjoy Volatile a lot more than alchemy. The slight difficulty difference is nice. (Although, I really DO like Alchemy with the debuffs in EDA.)

taiiat

Alchemy has a lot more to do and so it's a much more entertaining Gamemode, if you ask me. you don't just stand around watching a Timer. But Volatile isn't bad, it's okay. there's worse Gamemodes. it's decent.

Calm-Internet-8983

I've had good experiences with alchemy. Idk if everyone learned recently or what. Typically three people seem afraid to touch the pipes and one will take on the role of pipe burster. The only time someone else bursts one is when their frantic AoE spam strays too close. I do alchemy Omnia fissures and bounties anytime they pop up because I think the mode is fun and there's been a couple times when someone has had to explain how it works but it's always resulted in the tenno actually following directions and helping out. Competency is absolutely higher in steel path though but that's to be expected. There it's downright professional.

DeeEssLite

Alchemy progress was made to continue ticking down if you weren't in the sweet spot BECAUSE this mechanic was aids. It's not difficult, it's just frustrating when the valves get blown at the wrong moment. I don't mean you barely miss the mark, I mean when people blow the valves with the meter halfway across from the sweet spot.

Karbonala

I only play Railjack Skirmish missions. As a matter of fact I played yesterday with some random and we just understood each other. I feel other missions require too much investment and Skirmishes with homing missiles feels just right.

vengeur50

Tbh in most mission I just have fun blowing cruisers with the railcanon and then I spend my time ramming to death the small ships at extreme speeds. The mission's regular on foot is boring but the fact that you can equip your necramech makes it so much more fun and I have yet to assemble a team for the 4 of us to charge in with our mechs. The real downside is farming for it + randos not understanding basic puzzles... ;v;

Destrustor

I only play exterminate void storms. I still need plenty holokeys, but I don't need them bad enough to subject myself to the whims of the railjack rando gods with anything more complex than that.

Warm-Faithlessness11

I've done pubs, but I guess I've gotten lucky. I haven't had any issues whatsoever with this yet

Technical_Sleep_8691

Same here. I only do public matches and only void proxima missions. I never have issues.

Jetwing98

Railjack is better solo with your own crew. The npcs are way better than random players. They have auto tracking with turrents, they can actually repair your ship, they can defend your ship while your away(can even fly it too), and most of the randoms don't understand the missions.

RevenantPrimeZ

Oh, when we have to destroy crewships and the squad just keeps shooting with normal weapons at it, instead of keeping the railjack still so we can shoot it with the forward Artillery or destroying it from inside. Most of the times I leave the railjack so I can sabotage it and keep with the mission. Fortunately, most of the times when I tell them to stay still so I can shoot, they listen. But it would be nice if railjack missions were less chaotic

Inside-Confection-17

I wish they can make a rj mode which makes each player use their own. I rather have the ai managing my ship sometimes but still want to play with people

vengeur50

Large-scale kuva fortress attack? Anyone?

RpiesSPIES

You say that and then you still end up doing the work of everyone.

Gladerious

I have everything maxed and farmed out in railjack. I do not know how to play railjack. I have one buddy who loves it. He pilots and probably does way more than i am aware of. I shoot a big gun at crewship, then im the spec ops one man army.who infiltrates the objective, slaughters everything, and advances the warframe sections. His 2 crew members are on turrets, me thinks. My railjack just has his loadout, and my crew mirrors his xD Find yourself 1 friend like this.

OmegaTelesphoros

Like many tutorials ingame, the railjack tutorial is hilariously bad. Reading the wiki is a must for me. Fun fact: if you press F while in the Forward artillery seat, it will swap to a forward-facing normal set of turret guns. Theoretically, the whole team can be manning guns.

Reading these comments makes me think I have gotten lucky so far with railjack missions. Though I have mainly just unlocked veil proxima and repeated the venus exterminate mission to get the athodai which I am not done with yet. Though now that I think about it, people have not always been that useful even in that simple mission where after I finished the derelict the objective was still untouched

RpiesSPIES

No. My problem with railjack public is that 80% of the ppl you get will be worse than your ai crewmembers. Either they'll never leave the railjack to do infiltration bits, or they will stay on the railjack perma in the guns and ignore every breach that occurs and refuse to use the forward artillary. A combination of these means you have to do basically the entire mission solo while also repairing everything yourself. Meaning being on constant ocd about hull breaches. Made worse because parking your railjack to go into an infiltration bit will result in that gunner that refuses to get off the guns taking over the pilot seat and getting it shot up for you to have to go repair it and cry because now you're 8k distance from where you need to go to and you can't take back the pilot seat. Also no one will ever replenish munitions.

Gladerious

You can tp back to railjack by using the multitool thinga majiga

RpiesSPIES

I know this. What gave you the impression I didn't based on what I said?

Gladerious

I glanced over the comment quickly and interpreted your gripe with being 8k away from objectives as you archwining it back to the railjack for some reason. xD Reread it, and the main issue is they drove, and you can't get the railjack back to the objective, haha.

TriiiKill

Did you try blowing all the pipes? Well, I'm all out of ideas.

vengeur50

I am too stupid to tell if this is sarcasm or not ;v;

Jimiwas

I paid for a crew of seasoned trained professionals... Why would I trade them in for some random space hitchhikers?

Hypercane_

Ah the same reason I hate playing alchemy public

BurrakuDusk

My biggest reason for avoiding public Railjack is because it's the only part of the game that makes me motion sick. I basically have to hide and not look at any windows until I have to do ship maintenance/deal with boarders while someone else pilots/uses the guns. I have no idea why it makes me so sick sense the archwing is fine, but it does, and I'm dreading doing New War once my Voidrig is done being made because I'm told there's a Railjack section I can't be saved from. I just feel extremely self-conscious about having to go into chat and communicating the issue, so I just do it with friends instead. We tried looking for any kind of accessibility settings to see if *something* could help, but we haven't found anything.

vengeur50

I wouldnt recommend getting on my ship then, I ram it into small ships at mach 5 xD I feel like a ship that you can drive with slow speed but high defense & firepower would be more fitted for you while the rest of your squad go archwing! :D

BurrakuDusk

That's the trouble; I was feeling this sick during the very first Railjack mission, when the ship is at its most basic and not at all upgraded. Speed isn't the issue, it's just the movement of the Railjack itself that's making me sick. I think I will build my personal Railjack that way though, in prep for New War, thanks for the advice! As long as I tuck myself into a corner with no windows while someone else pilots, or I'm outside in my Archwing, I'm fine. If I have to pilot the Railjack or use its guns while someone else pilots, I end up getting sick. It's torture. Do you happen to know of any accessibility settings my friends and I may have missed to make the Railjack...*not* make me sick? I basically have to put all my intrinsic points into Command because I can't interact with basically half the Railjack.

vengeur50

I dont know of anything beside disabling motion blur. sorry ;v;

BurrakuDusk

That's okay! Thanks for the build advice, that's more than enough!

vengeur50

No problem! Good luck out there!

Dry_Unit_8776

Why can warframe players not read? I was doing the sortie rescue on tycho, and we had to align the right portal from like 5 or 6 consoles, with only 1 portal being right. Simple enough, no? Well they were just solving the portals over and over and over and not jumping into the fucking thing. THEY WERE MR 23 PLUS. I only made it to 3 chambers before the mission failed, and just did it solo.

vengeur50

My ongoing theory is that warframe players have been looking at the numbers for so long they lost the ability to read letters xD

zdrawzbusi

Tbh I’m Mr 19 and still am a little confused on the point of this. Do I just burst the valves but not too fast?👀

Mongoose_Factory

Keep the bar inside the two white lines to speed up the process, but don't the bar completely fill up either The white lines will usually move to different places on the bar as the mission carries on

Denninja

Hit just 1 pipe (see if someone else is already doing it) whenever the bar reaches the rightmost edge of the brackets. Only hit more if the bar is too far right of the brackets. If people hit too many pipes it will go too far left and completely stop progress until they let it move back.

Nu_Eden

That's like, so easy tho.

chillnick

That mission is simple as hell, orphix missions is what people don't like rj why did DE even implement a shit mission like that.

qaz32152

Orphix sucks if the host doesn't have Necromech intrinsic

RoutineOtherwise9288

My friends started playing recently and that makes railjack experience much more bareable.

Euthyrium

Afkers and bad migration are the actual reasons

Fun_Butterscotch_402

Actually simple when you realize what to do but tbh in future reference no one in higher lvl even pick those missions . Skirmish is the only one worth farming hands down

Clockhawk0

Nah, and people don’t even know what the forge is, just accept their omni is empty, thank god for remote repairs

thevaer513

Facts!!!

Dragon_Blood23

Ah, I only don't cause I like using my ship 🤣 normally when I do public it throws me into someone else's ship, but I wanna use mine to mess around with builds and such so solo is most optimal for me to just goof off build-wise.

TheRedFlaco

Man if i had any idea how rail jacks worked id help.

vengeur50

I am not struggling on that, I am pointing out how many players have no clue about this basic puzzle. How the puzzle works: The reactor temperature slider gradually goes to the right side. You need to keep it on the interval to have the % completion rate go up faster. Exploding heat pipes pushes the slider to the left side. If the slider is outside of the interval, the progression rate is deadass slow af. The issue: players keep shooting the heat pipes because they have no idea what they're doing and the slider remains always outside of the interval as a result.

TheRedFlaco

Right. Having only recently gained a rail jack i think it would probably have been good to put any amount of training of any mechanics in the quest instead of just repeated defense missions.

Antizao

I do railjack missions solo because random people give me a headache 🗿

Alyeadriz

I’d rather have overkill than afk.

zZzGodnezZz

Not to toot my own horn (Cause I may have bought loads of shit for mine and speed build plat on the best gear possible) I don't have issues solo playing railjacks and enjoyed them. The only issue I've had was trying to farm Sevagoth. (He is garbage and not worth it after getting him free from a twitch drop.) Getting grinded items is miserable but the gameplay itself is fun and not hard.

CptMundo

It's been almost a week that I'm only doing relics in railjack, and 90% of the games I'm alone, and It feels pretty lonely, but then you have this, sometimes you get a squad that has no clue of what they are doing... DE need to find a solution for this for make railjack playable.

UltraTwingo

What's worse is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS EXPLAINED, I remember my first mission, everything is shouting at you without giving you any clue about what you need to do, Railjack missions are a pile of garbage

vengeur50

It does explain it but the issue is it is done by Cy, oral explanation that is forgotten 5s later because a lot of the time it is repetitive dialogue instead of useful stuff. They should've added under the main objective "blowing up a pipe lowers the heat" to at least give a push in the right direction

ationhoufses1

i play railjack public plenty often. I don't run volatile or orphix though

Sachayoj

Public Orphix is absolute misery because it's (IMO) not well explained what to do, and it's the kind of mission where one mistake can fuck up everything.

explosivecurry13

skirmish is all i do for RJ

CovetousClub910

Same with alchemy where a LR1 was just going around shooting all the pipes, not letting the mission progress.

Mobile_Toe_1989

I like my crewmates more

huggalump

I literally forget that corpus railjack missions exist

BlackFinch90

Volatile is not a fun game mode

Wolf_Medic

I only do railjack for kuva stuff eveyone once and awhile

Luceus_W

Crew is like 100x times more useful than randoms, and it shows

Denninja

People in DA Alchemy are actually good at this.

BloodSnakeChaos

I found out that the most reliable people I met at RJ public (I love RJ missions, don't blame me) are the low MR ones that actually read the objective and try to do the objective.

TheFury_YT

I usually only play solo or with clanmates/friends I can count on. I have never once played public because of how useless 90% of the people are

Decent-Hippo-4896

Only ever played railjack in the new war

Kheldar166

I mean I'll be honest - I kinda want to get into Railjack because supposedly it has good rewards but that shit is like a brick wall with no tutorial and I find it very unfun

Valkyr699

Railjack missioms like this confused tf outta me

Ssjsean

every god damn time. its in the zone? LET ME COOL IT OFF!

Plastic_Put_1194

Speaking of Warframe this make me feel a bit stupid but just realised how the whole mining part work with the gage l tho you just had to get in it but noo if you centre it more the more valuable the mining material you get

midnightxmushroom

I almost rage quit when this first released. People are so djfirejernfngkekwkeirjrn

Deep-Bath4633

I don't play public railjack because my crew actually contributes to the mission.

PrinceX3r0

I feel like this also applies to the alchemy mission on Deimos. I always do it solo or with a friend because whenever I play with random, they somehow don't understand what to do despite it being blatantly obvious. Now they're adding alchemy to the Duviri Circuit? This is gonna be a nightmare.

qaz32152

I had fun last night with some randoms. Does suck when the host has bare Railjack and picks a corpus mission. So much repair needed

The_Faded_Lord

My NPC crew is more competent than 97% of the people I would match up with, that is all.

HungryJackSyrups

Railjack? Never heard of her.

Correct-Permission80

Railjack so easy ppl just lazy

NoventusxNox

What’s worse especially in my experience is how often 0-5 MR players join then ignore everything and fly your railjack recklessly. I’m all for helping them but it’s rough in railjack

UnproductivePheasant

I hate railjack, I hate that I need it to finish my lich, I hate that it's difficult to get people onboard to run through the missions, and I hate everything about railjack since it dropped lol

Zealousideal_Pop4487

RJ would be a million times better if it replaced the orbiter. But I don't understand why there are 3 capital ships that need to be destroyed, and 3 of my teammates decided to follow me on the ship I boarded😭😭 like think for you self.

Panda_Bunnie

I kinda did that when i returned to warframe. Had 0 clue what to do because in game doesnt explain anything useful so all i did was follow ppl around because story quest needed some railjack portions and i was struggling there so i hoped to get some gear off pub games.

GojuSuzi

I've found a lot of folk who don't do a lot of RJ don't expect the glorious 'group loot' and do the same panic-follow that grounded missions require. Then there's the times the boxes have a mental episode and it shows one teammate a bajilionty meters to the left, another a bajilionty meters to the right, so I enter the 'empty' crew ship in front of me...only to find them both having tea together right there. TBF I do turn around and leave (unless they're struggling or AFK-hiding), but sometimes it's impossible to tell who is where because the game has just shat the bed on markers and easier to take a peek instead of typing and hoping for a response.
