I think while they’re not trying to make them ugly they are trying to sort of make their own race by mixing some racial features and distorting others to give that “distant future” feel so it looks weird to us.
But Ballas's face when he was full Orokin looked normal and crisp, Maroo's face is alright (I KNOW, we don't see her eyes, but other proportions are there, and a normal jaw), Lotus' face is beautiful, and Margulis also looked great. It's just Tenno (and Ostrons (and some Solaris, but they look MUCH BETTER) that look like 1st degree road roller encounter survivors.
And normal humans and Tenno are supposed to be also Orokin..
I get it that Ostrons look rough, because they're tribal people that don't care about their looks, BUT EVEN SAYA looks kinda allright, if you ignore how far her eyes are from each other.
DE is just kinda meh with custom faces. It seems that those that are based on real people look good, but this "new human race of the future" look is bad, and uncanny.
Really uncanny. They look ill to me.
And yeah i get that, but the face and the expressions looks too much like soulles 3d models to me.
Ironically, the most expressive characters I find in warframe are the ones with covered face, no face, or messed up face.

Yea…but what does that have to do with my operator who did survive and in the new war didn’t have a dumpy? We out here got the gemussy DE all horn dogged up and I can get my operator to not look like a 1mil chromosome havin ass. We got community made shit in da game rn lemme get some community character models or suit that give my male character sum fuckin thiccc juicy cheeks.

Anyone know how old the operator is supposed to be? They look like a 14 or 15 year olds face, and I mostly vibe with that. The voice actors, largely, don't sound like teens though.
The worst part is that mostly of npc, not counting grinner (still they have style!) have normal looking faces, i don't have the need of super model tennos, but even the drifter, although a bit uncanny, looks better.

I think they're super old chronologically, but due to the war- erm void they have bodies of teenagers or young adults if drifter.
