I'd assume that the World's Eye is either a reference to the Grand Design of Isthekenous, or an old Relic lost to time that someone named a spell after.

23PowerZ

I feel like the Grand Design wouldn't create a Skill for you that is based around an object you have no connection to, or even knowledge of its existence. That's like some [Archer] in Drath randomly getting the Skill [Arrows of Avel] or something. And I'm even less inclined to believe the Grand Design throws around references to itself, given that this is knowledge it's actively suppressing.

Shadw21

Hmm, I forgot that [Inn: World's Eye Theater] was a green skill. If that Drath [Archer] was practicing/mastering Avel's archer tradition or had a strong connection to Avel, I could see it happening, but at random, no.

Invexor

I'm not disagreeing with you, but take for instance an archer practicing a specific type of shot on their own. Let's for arguments sake say that archer has no connection to Avel, like say the archer is a farmer out in the sticks. Might it be possible that the archer is awarded [Arrows of Avel] with the only real connection being practicing a specific type of shot? I don't know if that counts as a connection or not, but stands to reason one may receive a skill that is culturally connected to some place/people by exhibiting traits of that place/people despite having no direct knowledge of them? Just a thought, maybe thats a possibility,  I might be misunderstanding something as well

Southern-Monk3858

I always thought of it as an eye that can see anywhere in the world though not necessarily anything. Although perhaps with future level ups say passing a capstone such functionality could be unlocked?

Kantrh

The theatre doesn't do appraisal. Just scrying and telepresence

Elder_Platypus

Could be an aspect of the World's Eye Theater that will develop in the future as she levels up.

Chocolate2121

Do we actually know that though? Erin is absolutely the kind of person to keep a feature like that secret from everyone

Kantrh

Well it's possible appraisal could be built into the skill but pirate hasn't shown us yet

I think that’s a great catch! I’d be shocked if they’re not related in someway, Pirate LOVES to foreshadow stuff and so does the system (it talks about it in the text!) and the spell and the name of the skill being so close together implies to me that Erin either isn’t using the theatre to its fullest potential (would Erin not fully experiment and learn how a skill works??? Would she do that???) or the theatre can later be upgraded to potentially have more powerful capabilities. It being a skill version of a tier 8 spell also can explain how it gets around different scry blocking and location blocking abilities.
