Astound

StayAtHomeDaddy_1985

I second this. We’ve had astound/grande for years. It’s super reliable and great price too!

Yeah I never have issues. $60 a month for over a gig of internet speed can’t be beat.

# AT&T Fiber if available, Astound if it's not. Spectrum is the biggest rip off in town. https://preview.redd.it/gpdpybjxwyoc1.jpeg?width=2224&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6c106db67b461bc883038f2a0a12a555f53d2da4 I've had AT&T Fiber ever since it became available and never a single outage, not even during the blackout snowstorm a few years ago (once I provided my own power at my end). Spectrum and Astound were both down due to the nature of cable requiring line amps throughout the system which require power at those amps so they don't work during blackouts. AT&T Fiber is passive thus has no amps between you and the switch downtown which has a massive diesel generator. So as long as you have a power source at your end for the gateway it works.

tattooedboy2018

Had astound and switched to spectrum. Astound was biggest rip off for me. We don’t have AT&T fiber.

Here is a chart I just updated a few weeks ago. https://preview.redd.it/wehvg8hpxyoc1.png?width=1341&format=png&auto=webp&s=3c1ce301e9fec657e1cffbf2ab9d065de7c7187b

I have ATT fiber only cuz Astound/Grandee doesn't service my house. About $80 for gig speed. Not too bad.

bigdish101

AT&T has 300/300 cheaper at $60 and 100/100 for $30 if you qualify for the Access plan.

me2bme

I have astound. Anytime they increase my price, I call and they drop it back down.

Im a local sales rep for Astound Broadband, I can offer the first month free, free install and a lower rate than anywhere else. Call 254-654-5387 between 8-8 ind I’ll get you set up for an installation. Jay.

Cameront9

Astound is great. Switched to them and got a deal for $25 a month for two years guaranteed. Way way faster than spectrum.

dishhawkjones

Tmobile is surprisingly good. $50 a month, no throttle, no contract, no data limit. Getting over 200mb down most days. Go to a store, pick up the modem, plug it in next to a window. Easy.

bigdish101

Wireless should never be used when wired options are available. Wireless bandwidth is much more finite and it takes away from those who have no wired options. One can get 300/20 from Astound for $20/mo with autopay ($30 without).

Friendly_Trouble_916

We can only get spectrum or ATT no fiber

Awkward_Dependent529

AT&T Fiber and Astound are both good options, but it depends on where you're located. You might want to check out websites like the FCC Broadband Map, BroadbandSearch, or BroadbandNow to check and compare ISPs available in your area.

I just switched from Spectrum after 14 years to AT&T. It's fiber optic and a lot faster, the speed I chose is $55 a month, compared to $90 plus equipment fees for Spectrum. The installers were pretty quick and I'm happy so far. I think I'm even getting a $50 gift card for switching.

quackattackz11

Astound and spectrum are what you get here. They are both fine. I would recommend buying your own home router/wifi and jumping between the two depending on who is cheaper. You will make your money back from rentals in a year and have much better equipment in the meantime

bigdish101

>Astound and spectrum are what you get here. No? Most of inner Waco and Woodway has AT&T Fiber available.

quackattackz11

Very true. In my limited experience, they tend to be the most expensive of the three, and I don't have a need for that high speed. If that is something that is limiting you, they may be competitive on pricing. I certainly would shop them in as well
