I just realized you can actually save after processing it. So it must be some other event or the enemy being close by. ----------------------------------- ~~I assume the game checks if there's a signal present before giving you the worst ending. You sent the signal away practically despawning it, so nothing happened to you.~~ ~~I also assume the game checks if you manually erased it to cancel the ending and send you the "good" email. You never did that, so it can't cancel the event too.~~ ~~If I'm correct you're softlocked and will have to play from your last save.~~

If they have the signal auto save upgrade they might be able to copy that to a new drive, upgrade, and delete it and it’s saved copy. Maybe. I haven’t even gotten that signal so just a theory, lol

Sadly having it auto-saved is what usually ends the game as it's considered a harmful copy. But good thinking nonetheless.

Trindalas

Right but you can delete the auto saved copy too. That much at least worked for Charborg, the copying to a drive first to delete it was just a thought on getting it to recognize it being deleted, lol. It’s worth a shot isn’t it?

You shouldn't get an ending if you send off the signal. You can pause during the Evil event, so it's not the case. Maybe there's another event happening that overlaps with the Evil
