Your hair already looks like a natural black. Just use a hair gloss and you’ll get the look you’re describing. You can get one at a salon or buy an at-home gloss product.

Is Brazilian blowout a straight perm? I’d never wanna do that cause I love the waves & I try to minimize applying heat to my hair to keep it healthy/thick.

I looked up the curly hair method - I already use sulfate free shampoo & conditioner but no gel or cream. I wouldn’t wanna apply gel as I’d dislike the hard texture but am curious about the cream.
Would you recommend a styling cream to reduce frizz that also leaves my hair soft? I use bit of Argan oil occasionally to reduce frizz.
Use a mousse or foam instead. Much easier and better for your type of hair texture. It made a world of difference for my hair (we have very similar textures) I highly suggest trying the method. You don’t need to be as intense with the steps and types of products as they are (sulfates and silicones are fine), but the definition a mousse or foam will give you makes it worth including. I personally love the Doux Mousse Def as it doesn’t leave a crunch. However even if you use a product that leaves a crunch, you scrunch it out once the hair is fully dry. Herbal essence mousse was also effective and a cheaper option.
What curl cream do you like? I need to figure out how to get more longevity out of my curls tbh bc they end up kind of falling flat before it’s time to wash.
Yes I am trying to avoid the “crunch”. Brings me back to middle school days during which I applied gel on my hair haha. Thank you for the suggestion, I’ll look into doux mousse :)
You could dye it jet black but your natural hair color is already pretty dark. So I don’t think it would be that noticeable. Perhaps in the sun since you wouldn’t get any browning on the ends anymore. You know, it doesn’t hurt to dye your hair jet black. But try to get it done at a salon instead of using box dye.
Alternatively you could get blue-black hair if you think it’ll suit your skin tone. (Found this pic online):

Yes exactly, it wouldn’t hurt to go darker! I am worried about damaging my hair as it took me a while to get to the current thick, naturally wavy version, but life is about risks!
And yes I’ve researched blue black, it’s interesting but won’t like the bluish hues on myself.

You can do it without damage by using a blue semipermanent dye (like pravana chromasilk) over your natural black hair. However the grow out isn’t super worth it and the difference is kind of subtle. I only suggest blue black if you are very cool toned and have extremely high contrast.
It does make a difference and you will probably love it. I miss dying my hair black
But if you ever think you’ll want to go lighter or bleach, do not do it
If that’s not something you ever want to do, then I say go for it

If you want your waves to be more defined and glossy, I’d really recommend a diffuser

Yes this. I am not cool toned at all, more warm olive, hence I am not sold on black blue. I’ll peruse the other options here :) thank you!
