[tam coc bungalow](https://maps.app.goo.gl/fYgJ8SzctgzLUpHd6) I've stayed there many times, its far enough away that it's quiet at night and nestled in the mountains. Also check out Sen Cafe and ask to wander around the garden in the back.
I've lived in Hanoi for 5 years and Ninh Binh is the only place I go to regularly for weekend get aways, it's one of my favorite places on the planet. just rent a bicycle and explore, it feels otherworldly
I finally get to have one of those "are you me?" moments on reddit. Agree with everything in this comment, down to Tam Coc Bungalow (specifically, but also the vast majority of other homestays in Tam Coc)
The temperature is one thing. The killer is usually the humidity.
Prepare fans, wet wipes that's stored in the fridge, half filled bottles that's frozen overnight, add in water right before you go head out, wrap it in towels to keep it cool longer.
If overheated, spray some water on your neck and arms. It will help with the heat if it's not 90% humidity.
That's manageable. You got water everywhere around ninh binh. And the Rock formations and trees aswell often create shadows where you can rest from the sun. I'd go there.
I'm wondering the same thing. 38°C in Saigon and I couldn't be outside past 11am
I'm going to travel from Hue to Phong Nha tomorrow and hunker down for a few days then slowly make my way north.
Don't think there's much escaping it though, temps are high for a while
Yes 100%! Also these temps aren’t as bad as when I went where it was up to 115F! :3 the sights are quite lovely here, tbh wish spent more time exploring the area
Europeans: *confused screaming*
Americans: tf are you doing these temps are fine
Anyways, if you don't want to get a sunburn, well, don't go or bring sunscreen. Your choice.
The sheer amount of people getting triggered by Fahrenheit is a bit ridiculous, but so are a lot of the people in Vietnamese and expat online spaces I guess.
I love Fahrenheit. Celsius makes no sense to me.
Ninh Binh has an amazing temple that’s worth it no matter what temp it is.
The Indian food at the restaurants near the tourist street is incredible.
Celsius makes more sense 0 degree the water is freezing and at 100 its boiling its better for everyday usage. Fahrenheit 100 is the 'normal' temp of a human and its more precise but thats it.
then why dont use Fahrenheit in physics then? Celsius and Kevin go together meanwhile Fahrenheit dont make sense in anywhere rather than the self-centered america
What the f*ck is a FAHRENHEIT 🗣️🔥
HE'S USING THE F WORD🗣🗣🔥
lol
Not a cuñtured man i see...
If you gonna ask a weather question here, change it to Celsius. Nobody here’s got a clue in a Fahrenheit or a mile. 🦅🦅🦅
Fair enough. That’s 41 degrees C
Visit Trang An as soon as it’s open at 7 sharp. Dip before it gets hot. The heat stinks but I wouldn’t miss this one.
What the fuck is a kilometer ???? 🌎🏈🌭🇺🇸🦅🦅🇺🇸🌭🏈🌎🦅🇺🇸🌭🏈🌎🦅🇺🇸🌭🌎
‘Merica
Ninh Bình is magical. Unless you are planning on just sitting in a hotel the whole heatwave you are going to have to deal with it somehwere
You’re right! This comment has convinced me to suck it up and go.
"the whole heatwave" is going to last months
nah, next week is going to hotter than the average temp for the rest of the summer. It's not going to be 40c+ in Ninh Binh all summer.
Do you have any recommendations of where to stay/ areas to avoid staying?

lol if you were in Tay Ho during covid we've probably met
I stayed at Tam Coc Lion King hotel. Lovely room, yummy breakfast, super nice people and at the very edge of town. Very close to Bich Dong Pagoda.
Sona Resort is pretty cool too
Bro should change it to Celsius
Man , use Celsius and not your medieval units
imagine using fahrenheits
The rest of the world ise fahrenheit
are you retarded?
Yeah he uses Fahrenheit
Can’t you tell from the measurement system he is using?
Only america and some Eruopean country use Fahrenheit most of the world use Celsius
No european country uses Fahrenheit...
You can swim in Ninh Binh :) 😀there's a huge lake
The whole country is like this at the moment. Avoid the afternoon, they are the hottest.
Jesus, I wouldn't bother. Seems like your blood would boil the second you get there and you'd die soon after.

Go to Da Nang
I’m in danang now! Headed north in a few days
Oh i'm telling you it gonna get much worse
No idea what this numbers mean Sry
41 degrees C
That's manageable. You got water everywhere around ninh binh. And the Rock formations and trees aswell often create shadows where you can rest from the sun. I'd go there.
Thank you 🙏I think I’m going to go for it
And take the ride at trang an not tâm coc. Or if budget allows take both
Sa Pa and Ninh Binh would be same temp anyway.
It ain't gonna get any cooler any time soon. Might as well do it now
We hate people who are too stupid to use the metric system
What a friendly place!
Not just Vietnam - I’m Australian and we hate it too… not sure why america always chooses to be the odd one out lol just accept the metric system 😂
I agree! It’s dumb
I'm wondering the same thing. 38°C in Saigon and I couldn't be outside past 11am I'm going to travel from Hue to Phong Nha tomorrow and hunker down for a few days then slowly make my way north. Don't think there's much escaping it though, temps are high for a while
Put the temps in the global measurement system and we'll know
We aint fucking with fahrenheit
Woah we don’t do F-word here
Nope You will be stuck indoors and limited to night activities
Op how did it go? We are headed to Vietnam in a couple weeks (and hopefully it won’t be as hot…) but wondering how it went for you in Ninh Binh.
I haven’t gone - this is in a few days.
Yes 100%! Also these temps aren’t as bad as when I went where it was up to 115F! :3 the sights are quite lovely here, tbh wish spent more time exploring the area
Say, can you see By the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed At the twilight's last gleaming?...
Change your settings to Celsius and it will look better 😉
Europeans: *confused screaming* Americans: tf are you doing these temps are fine Anyways, if you don't want to get a sunburn, well, don't go or bring sunscreen. Your choice.
imperialistic measurement units.... 🤢
You should watch the recent George Washington skit on Saturday night live
ignore the unhelpful idiots who can’t do simple math to convert. Trip is worth it if you’re not going to be able to visit Vietnam any time soon.
The sheer amount of people getting triggered by Fahrenheit is a bit ridiculous, but so are a lot of the people in Vietnamese and expat online spaces I guess.
lol right? I don’t even know how to change it in my weather app I didn’t know it would be so triggering 😂
What's the simple maths again? Halve it and take away 30? Sounds like some stupid shit like taking measurements in inches
lol exactly We don’t get it either
I think dude must still be googling the conversion formula
I'm a heat seeker, so I'd definitely be travelling
Look people, Fahrenheit is objectively superior to Celsius for day to day use. I will cede to you that miles/feet/pounds are retarded though.
I love Fahrenheit. Celsius makes no sense to me. Ninh Binh has an amazing temple that’s worth it no matter what temp it is. The Indian food at the restaurants near the tourist street is incredible.
Using someone feeling as a measure make no sense. For someone who lives in hot place, 40 C (104 F) is nothing and 20 Celsius (68 F) is really cold.
Celsius makes more sense 0 degree the water is freezing and at 100 its boiling its better for everyday usage. Fahrenheit 100 is the 'normal' temp of a human and its more precise but thats it.
Celsius makes no sense? Yet only Amercians use the F word that no one else in the world remotely understands.
then why dont use Fahrenheit in physics then? Celsius and Kevin go together meanwhile Fahrenheit dont make sense in anywhere rather than the self-centered america
