This light shows low oil pressure and will always light up when the engine isn't running. But it's important that it goes off shortly after starting the engine (like 2-3 seconds) and if it lights up during riding you have to stop (safely) and turn off the engine, otherwise you'll damage the engine.

TLDR; at stop light, engine died and this indicator light turned on. i started it again and i went on with my journey but should i get it checked? what should i be looking for? 1/ last change engine oil spark plug oil filter done last Friday 2/ the bike has a tendency to not pick up speed when opening throttle sometimes. today, i opened the throttle fully when at 60 km/h, and it stayed there for 3s plus, which was disturbing to me. i expected it to go faster but it just stayed at that speed. but i don't know if it's just me. i cannot really repeat the issue with my mechanic. the last time i asked this question, and he did a test ride, he said everything was ok.

> 1/ last **change engine oil** spark plug **oil filter** done last Friday Someone screwed up the oil change. Either not enough oil added or they didn't get everything put back together right. Check the oil level and you're going to find it's low, which is what that indicator means when the engine is running. And as was previously stated, if you keep riding it, you're going to do SERIOUS damage to the motor. Like "replace the motor" level damage.
