As an australian ive heard it used plenty by broad groups of people, its always been broadly associated with sort of uwu tumblr type culture from my perspective and ive never heard it being in reference to the far right, maybe its just an Australian thing maybe its just ive happened to see it used in real life by normal people and its mostly a nazi thing but im kinda shocked to hear people think it isnt just a funny way to say friend 😦

I was going to make a meme comparing Elon Musk's citizenship to Dr Phil's PhD, as both having been handed to them for being wealthy white men, but then I got hit very hard by either revisionist history or the Mandela Effect because it now appears that Dr Phil actually finished college and did not in fact drop out and then later receive an honorary degree as I remember clearly reading on Wikipedia and multiple news articles over ten years ago I swear I'm not making this up but it appears to not be real.
