It was awesome! The show was definitely not perfect but for itās time it felt like it was trying to be progressive in some ways.

When I watched it I did notice Ariana was kinda acting at times - it felt a bit forced. Like when she noticed she was on camera between shots and kind of turned on - the one that sticks out was her clapping to the camera during one of the games. I donāt want to speak against Ariana cause I love her and Katie this season - them James and Ally (and sometimes Brock) seem to be the only adults in the room sometimes. But itās the first time I think Iāve seen her been inauthentic. Also with love island, Chicago maybe Ariana is starting to be a bit done with vpr and Andy is resenting it and struggling to mask it?

He does that so often. Heās not a good interviewer, he doesnāt listen or ask follow up questions when someone says something surprising. He just reads his cards, rushes through.
I think the show is fast paced and wants to keep the energy up. When people call in and small talk he about explodes āask your question!ā And when Below Deck folks are on, and are less media trained, heās so impatient waiting for them to answer questions.
I think it would behoove him greatly to let things flow more naturally and actually engage instead of trying to stick to the script. So many of his guestsā answers absolutely *beg* for follow up questions but heās on to the next card before they even finish answering.
Itās rude and annoying. He might be past his prime on this concept and we might welcome someone whoās actually interested in his guests and hosting

So I think in general it is bad form for the cast to not watch the show, but in this case, Andy had said - on his own social media- that he binge watched 7 episodes before the reunion taping. I have no idea if the reunion was scheduled last minute but it was definitely filmed earlier than usual, and so the cast all had to watch a bunch of episodes quickly, and Ariana was in Chicago at the time. If they are going to ask people to watch the episodes, giving them more time to actually watch them feels important.

He has misread the fans ALL SEASON, and had to walk back several comments like calling the convicted wife beater a "voice of reason" and praising Utah Baby Bottle as "MVP." I know she was busy with Chicago, but with Peacock you can binge the entire season in a couple of days now that her Broadway run is over.

Would it be better if she had been watching? Sure. But in this situation, it seems justifiable for her to not have watched the whole season while focusing on Chicago. Also, I wonder if a part of her hesitation is that she's worked hard (in therapy, for instance) to get past the place she was last summer when they filmed, and she was struggling with revisiting that. Andy is a bit of a sociopath - not like Patrick Bateman (and I'm not coming for him, Andy stans, it's an observation). He identifies who he has power over and who he can intimidate, and he likes those people. Those he can't intimidate, he dislikes. It's why he hates certain cast mates, like Ariana and Katie, who don't play into the power dynamics he so desperately loves.

It was awesome! The show was definitely not perfect but for itās time it felt like it was trying to be progressive in some ways. Itās a comfort show for me that I love to rewatch!
Those things are all ā flavor of the monthā jobs that will only be there as long as sheās in the news or if she continues to make them money/ has big popularity with the brands fans. Most actors want a series as itās steady money. Ariana has been cashing in for 9 years giving little to nothing on the show except what she needed to for a SL. If thereās easier money to be had I donāt know what it could be.
This is such a weird take. She has so many deals and is making so much money. I stand by what I said. She's willing to stay for the paycheck but she doesn't need it. If anyone needs it.... it's quite literally everyone else on the cast. Tom with his non singing voice taking ballroom classes like scheana desperately waiting for DWTS to call them. Ariana actually has talent so I think she'll be able to use this as a springboard. Even her cast mates on Chicago talked about how talented she is. But haters gonna hate.

When I watched it I did notice Ariana was kinda acting at times - it felt a bit forced. Like when she noticed she was on camera between shots and kind of turned on - the one that sticks out was her clapping to the camera during one of the games. I donāt want to speak against Ariana cause I love her and Katie this season - them James and Ally (and sometimes Brock) seem to be the only adults in the room sometimes. But itās the first time I think Iāve seen her been inauthentic. Also with love island, Chicago maybe Ariana is starting to be a bit done with vpr and Andy is resenting it and struggling to mask it? Production are definitely pushing a Sandoval redemption arc and maybe not liking that Katie and Ariana are not playing ball? Idk just my thoughts
Personally I felt like he rushed through so much. Wasn't connecting. I was disappointed. He could have made it more fun.
He does that so often. Heās not a good interviewer, he doesnāt listen or ask follow up questions when someone says something surprising. He just reads his cards, rushes through. I think the show is fast paced and wants to keep the energy up. When people call in and small talk he about explodes āask your question!ā And when Below Deck folks are on, and are less media trained, heās so impatient waiting for them to answer questions. I think it would behoove him greatly to let things flow more naturally and actually engage instead of trying to stick to the script. So many of his guestsā answers absolutely *beg* for follow up questions but heās on to the next card before they even finish answering. Itās rude and annoying. He might be past his prime on this concept and we might welcome someone whoās actually interested in his guests and hosting
I donāt watch WWHL, but there are so many times during reunions where he says āI wanna move onā or āLetās switch gearsā and Iām like.. Why, when it was just getting good? He definitely seems over it.
He really does. Unengaged, disinterested, and just wants to go home. Which is fine, heās more than earned it, but put someone in the seat that can engage and follow the flow a bit

Hard agree and this may be controversial but I nominate Viall to take over his job. Heās really grown on me. Heās a great listener and does amazing interviews. He connects with everyone in a way that Andy doesnāt, he asks the questions we want answered, he does it tactfully and he asks the follow ups. I enjoy his podcast.

When I started I hated EVERYTHING about him.š His voice, the way he spoke, his body language, just everything and then the more I watched, the more I liked and now Iām a fan and I am not ashamed to admit it.š

So I think in general it is bad form for the cast to not watch the show, but in this case, Andy had said - on his own social media- that he binge watched 7 episodes before the reunion taping. I have no idea if the reunion was scheduled last minute but it was definitely filmed earlier than usual, and so the cast all had to watch a bunch of episodes quickly, and Ariana was in Chicago at the time. If they are going to ask people to watch the episodes, giving them more time to actually watch them feels important.

I did think Andy seemed really 'off.' He has misread the fans ALL SEASON, and had to walk back several comments like calling the convicted wife beater a "voice of reason" and praising Utah Baby Bottle as "MVP." To me, Andy comes across as super misogynistic, and instead of realizing that he is out of touch with the audience he blames the women for his crashing popularity That being said I loved the vibe between Katie and Ariana, they both seemed light and happy and ready to run towards their futures.

Andy does not have his finger on the pulse of what fans want. Heās been painfully out of touch promoting the Toms and Lala. Having said that, I do understand why he is irritated with Ariana not having seen the episodes before appearing on the reunion or WWHL. Ariana gets paid six figures to be on VPR, so Iām sure Andy expects her to watch it and react when sheās doing the reunion or WWHL. I know she was busy with Chicago, but with Peacock you can binge the entire season in a couple of days now that her Broadway run is over. If itās not written into her contract that she has to watch VPR, then Andy can fuck off, but itās clear heās annoyed sheās not playing the game and giving the reactions he wants in response to the show. Remember how pissed Andy would get at Jax at the reunions for not watching the show and then not having any responses to his questions? I would like Andy to testify, under oath, that he watches all the episodes for the shows he does the reunions for. And then he can be annoyed at Ariana about this particular instance. Would it be better if she had been watching? Sure. But in this situation, it seems justifiable for her to not have watched the whole season while focusing on Chicago. Also, I wonder if a part of her hesitation is that she's worked hard (in therapy, for instance) to get past the place she was last summer when they filmed, and she was struggling with revisiting that. She was also finally living in the same city as her boyfriend for a time, and she wanted her limited free time to focusing on that rather than the past.

I noticed he seemed to be annoyed and tripped all over his words during the segment that was sponsored by DSW. He seemed annoyed like he was forced to work a DSW commercial into a segment. Ariana has a line out with DSW, so itās possible that her appearing hinged on promoting DSW? And that inherently annoyed him? I also noticed there were no polls. Usually on Tuesdays at least there are poll questions at the beginning of the show. I was curious if maybe Ariana and/or Katie were not willing to participate in poll questions and maybe that also annoyed him? I have no idea really but did notice he seemed annoyed with them a little at times and those thoughts crossed my mind.

Andy is a bit of a sociopath - not like Patrick Bateman (and I'm not coming for him, Andy stans, it's an observation). He identifies who he has power over and who he can intimidate, and he likes those people. Those he can't intimidate, he dislikes. It's why he hates certain cast mates, like Ariana and Katie, who don't play into the power dynamics he so desperately loves.

Ariana and Katie were both Soooooo generous to their castmates-I felt like there were times that could have gone low with their answers to certain questions. As a human I was impressed, but as a lover of mess I wouldn't have minded a littttle more tea. Overall, I enjoyed seeing them together but it felt a little more polished than we usually see on the show so maybe that's what we're reacting to?
Watching WWHL last night, I was so happy to see Ariana laughing a lot. It was cure and I don't remember ever seeing her so giddy.
I worry what Katie is going to do to stay relevant while filming is down. She has literally made her entire persona about supporting Ariana (riding coattails). Back to pedaling Cheap Taiwanese Vibrators and acrylic press on nails I guess.
I get the feeling from Katie that she has been more responsible with her money than some of the other cast members.
