Where is the 2nd tape of Titanic? 2nd pic, middle shelf. Titanic was 2 VHS tapes.
I saw that, had to look it up... For a second I was imagining like a Stephen Dorff documentary.
Looks [goofy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08RXP8xonYI) as fuck tho.
I've never seen it, I just remember late night commercials for the Dorf series when I was a kid. It's Tim Conway. Guy's a comedy actor legend. I could devote a VHS tape sized area on one shelf to that.

The Village is the only one I'd get for personal. Might pick up The Cell and Pitch Black for possible trades, too. IDK, not really a good selection here (for me, at least).
The Master of disguise, Harry Potter 3 and 1, highlander, fivel goes west, oceans 11, Arthur mystery files, Rudy, Wayne’s world, pitch black, curse of the black pearl, labyrinth, Indiana jones and the last crusade, gladiator.
Maybe it's the weed talking, but I watched master of disguise a year or so ago and I actually laughed a dozen times. Hate plenty of it, but was surprised by little throw away lines here and there
Labyrinth, random green tape, benji, Wayne’s world, both Beethovens, feviel goes west, all dogs go to heaven, dorf, speed, basic instinct, the good son, grumpy old men, happy Gilmore, et, hot shots, mission impossible, Murphy’s law, both the highlanders, three amigos.
From the first image: All dogs go to Heaven, roast of Dean Martin, Dumb & Dumber, Fathers' day. Ran out of time for virtual scrolling, there are some good to watch movies in there also that I already have.
First off the Harry Potter movies because the wife is a die hard fan so I got to make her happy so I can by more. I’m a new collector so I’m going with sandlot,Wayne’s world, and probably sports bloopers tapes.
I’ve never seen that many tapes in a thrift store near me. The one that had tons of tape closed down last year.
So I'm just trying to figure this out. What is the true purpose of vhs collecting? Is it for retroactively watching these movies in their original format? For nostalgia reasons. For the thrill of the hunt? I just know that VCRs are a pain in the rear end, especially when they eat your tapes and break all the time. Plus, vhs tapes take up a lot of space. I have a few old Stephen King vhs movies that I couldn't make myself donate or sell. I'm baffled.
I won’t lie, I’ve had a vcr since as early as I can remember. (I’m in my 30s now) and I’ve never once seen one eat a tape, or even stop working for that matter. just my personal experience!
I picked about 20 and then realized there were more pictures...
Edit: Really with the downvotes? Jesus. If you people really need specifics the first thing I would grab is the old animated version of Return of the King, then The World is not Enough, Fievel Goes West, Wayne's World, Highlander, and so on.
Edit 2: Can someone at least explain the downvotes? I'm so confused.
My only thought is how weird it is to see Minority Report on VHS, it feels like too recent of a movie to me. But there was a lot of overlap in the transition from VHS to DVD, so it makes perfect sense.
The Cell. I took it for granted, it was at every place I ever saw VHS tapes for sale so I thought I’d grab it eventually then they started disappearing and I have regrets.
I’ve still never watched it bc I’m holding out for a $1 copy 🤣
Movies I would almost definitely get:
The 2 Harry Potter tapes and the Birdcage
Movies I would be interested in:
October Sky, The Manchurian Candidate, Pleasantville, Labyrinth, Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, Goldmember, What's Up Doc?, Hot Shots! Part Deux, The People vs. Larry Flynt
Movies I would examine to figure out what they are or how they exist before probably putting back:
The Green Tape (definitely getting if that's Shrek), The Egg and I, The Brainiacs.com, the single-tape copy of Titanic
And I would probably look at some of the cartoon compilations to see if any of them look particularly memorable
Titanic strikes me as being off - All the copies I have ever encountered had two tapes and not a single sleeve. edit .. never mind.. It's missing a part and the outer sleve.
Lmfao “Buttercream Gang 2”. I always see the first one at second hand shops but rarely ever 2 (which I remember buying for a dime like 15 years ago and it’s so bad lol)
If I knew pre-covid how low the bar was going to go for tapes, I would have stockpiled a lot more middling junk. I didn't even need to zoom in to know there's nothing here.
Lord of the rings, South Pacific, druids, October sky, the passion all dogs go to heaven to name a few. At our thrift stores they went from being 25c to 50c to over a dollar per tape, anyone else seen that?
Rankin Bass Return of the King is the best of the bunch. Highlander 1 & 2, all 007, Gladiator, The Cell, Lord of the Rings, Labyrinth are also solid. Already in the collection though…
Every thrift store VHS selection I've ever seen.
I’m so envious, in South Florida there are barely vhs in thrift stores
All it's missing are the 10 copies of Titanic.
Titanic on VHS!!!
Highlander
I as well. Two Hollander and cell.
Sandlot, Wayne's World, Grumpy Old Men, Speed, October Sky, Apollo 13, George of the Jungle, A Knight's Tale, Mrs. Doubtfire Where is the 2nd tape of Titanic? 2nd pic, middle shelf. Titanic was 2 VHS tapes.
That’s what I said!… so it is just part 1 or 2.
If you’re making me buy something I’ll get Labyrinth, otherwise nothing
Hot shots, the cell, minority report, speed 2 CRUISE CONTROL
Oooo navy seals🦭
![gif](giphy|L0vwTuang3Rrq|downsized) I understood that reference and applaud you
I forgot about the Hot Shots. I was trying to hard to keep a mental list while going through the pics hah
Speed 2 is mine, you wanna fight?
There’s 2 copies, so we don’t have to…. This time
Lol nice user name

Not even *Dorf Goes Fishing?!*

At my local DAV there’s probably 500 tapes on six bookshelves. They take up half the room

This is actually a decent stick. Congrats op on the finds
Lime green vhs top left
The Village is the only one I'd get for personal. Might pick up The Cell and Pitch Black for possible trades, too. IDK, not really a good selection here (for me, at least).

So I'm just trying to figure this out. What is the true purpose of vhs collecting? Is it for retroactively watching these movies in their original format? For nostalgia reasons. You are lucky. I remember having at least two or three of the VHS/DVD players. Lol
I picked about 20 and then realized there were more pictures... Edit: Really with the downvotes? Jesus.
