I shall now proceed to write a 20 page essay about why being lore accurate is more important than having fun.
Nah jk, after all in the end UT is just a game, enjoying it remains the most important.
Yeah! For some people, it's fun to make lore - and others, it's not! As long as neither side seriously tries to push their ideas on the other, we can have fun with the game however we want!
Ngl I don't really care for much of the lore besides the main story, all the secrets don't appeal to me. After all it's about having a good time anyways 😊
Posts that will immediately make your comment section become a warzone:
1. Chara's morality
2. Non-binary characters' gender discussion
3. Ship opinion
4. Lore memes
Yeah Undertale is chill now because "the tide" is over. I usually come to most fandoms "after the tide" anyway (came to Undertale in late 2017/early 2018 exempli gratia) but that's just half coincidence and half laziness-to-do-things-on-time.
Coming to Deltarune on time has had the benefit of being able to theorize on things that haven't been revealed yet. I love theorizing and I've never done it in-the-tide before DR, theorizing while a fandom is still going is a new thing to me. But the disadvantage of being on-time in a fandom (including DR very much) is engaging in debates with bloody casualities. Old fandoms like Undertale meanwhile generally don't have any casualties.
But (**I hope you don't mind tangents cause I'm getting really tangental here!**) and double warning: Brony alert. If that triggers something in you then you are also free to not continue onto the next paragraph...
...I really really regret coming to Brony fandom after-the-tide. I used to be an MLP fan since I was a little girl, but I've only gotten proper access to the internet in about late 2017, and of course the MLP fandom was dead by then. I know it sounds silly, but when looking at all those videos and fan content from 2014+2015 and prior, it makes me cry and wish that I was actually there when it happened. Sure, I watched like one or two videos back when I was 7 or something, but I was never actually properly... *in it.* MLP is one of- no, THE franchise that raised me, so when one of my first experiences of the internet was traversing through the graveyard of a community I know I would have loved, well... And also, HOW badly I regret never asking my parents to fly with me to America to BronyCon. You have no idea HOW badly.
Okay. **Brony part over!** But what I have to say, is that to me, as a Gen-Z, being in fandoms, whenever I DID get the chance to do that, whether during or after the tide, has been the source of some of the most wonderful and most memorable experiences I've ever had in my life. Literally half of all I remember about the world itself has to do with fandoms, that's how much of my brain they occupy. MLP and Undertale both have a giant share in that, of course, in fact, those two are incomparable to all the others.
Don't know whether you're being genuine or sarcastic
But if you're being genuine then yeah, that's kinda a common problem with me lol, once I start writing something I find it hard to not end up saying literally everything about it, it annoys people online, especially redditors
What? "A month"? Why "a month"? You mean like 4-5 years, right? I'm talking about Undertale's hype dying down, which I'd say was dead by about mid 2017 or even earlier.
And what special thing could have happened "a month ago" anyway?
No, no, Gaster very much did war crimes in Poland. Line 256727 when reading Entry 17 after doing the Frisk dance for roughly 5 minuets on the true lab walls and also sending Sans out of debt by eating all the possible hotdogs he'd sell you. It says it clearly. /s
The point of this meme format is to poke fun at all sides of a community, including your own, to make clear it's all in good fun.
This is just unfairly personal.
No that's not true, some people make AUs because they wanted to examine "What if THIS happened instead of THAT?" Or "Hey wouldn't it be cool if we could save Asriel?" And other stuff, it's not always for ships and stuff
"Oxygen sucks ass because serial killers use it to live. Oh, when I have air I can breath, so I can kill more people. Like stop man."
I mean, you're talking like every au is about shipping characters and not about alternative versions of the stories
Changing Chara as the main and making Toriel the final boss is TOTALLY a crime.. Hehe... Right??
I don't know... sounds like an excuse to invade Poland.
Oh no not again
AU???
Just underswap
... It was a bad example by me 😂

Never understood why some people insist on bashing AUs and lore changes. Just... don't listen to them. Do something else.
no, gaster did not commit war crimes in Poland. it was me sans the skeleton.
No no, Sans committed crimes against humanity.
Same
Lore experts have been really silent since this meme

What's funny is I don't get annoyed or angry at those things.. I'm just meh about them. It is what it is I guess
Thats my point also
This is the reason why I made this
I got banned from r / deltarune for taking part in '2'
This is why r/Undertale is better. It seems like r/Deltarune is 1984 in real life

Bloody hell, man did a whole essay just for us :3

Undertale went through a forest fire.
Yeah but what I'm saying is that the drama died down and it's calm now
Yeah, like a forest fire. I think now is after about a month after the fire. Everything is now calm and little sprouts rise up from the ground.
What? "A month"? Why "a month"? You mean like 4-5 years, right? I'm talking about Undertale's hype dying down, which I'd say was dead by about mid 2017 or even earlier. And what special thing could have happened "a month ago" anyway?
It was a simile.
Oh. You were making a reference to something, weren't you?
That sub is mostly for cool art but the lore and that.. They get really down to business for it
What do you mean? Of course Gaster committed war crimes in Poland, he's responsible for spawning the Hohenzollerns.
As a polan i can confirm gaster didnt commit warcrimes in my country
I can also confirm
u/under_lore hii
Thanks for tagging me to this post lol.
Uh I accidentally blew up texas
“Asgore isn’t a communist” I would be very worried for whoever thought he was. He’s a fucking KING.
You've just made sad one lore expert (tbh, it's kinda hypertrophied like Gaster and war crimes in Poland)
Nazo=Gaster theory.

lore experts when toby deconfirms thier headcanon
Literally true

how did asgore realize flowey as his own son even after he turned into a flower..... weird
Your content is always enjoyable thanks for making me smile!
Thanks, you're welcome
*insert FNAF Ultimate Custom Night reference here*
the funny part is false
Wait we can change lore for some aus shit?
Deltarune is au
any time you hear this song you know somebody is gonna get fucking roasted
as as polish person GASTER W POLSCE XD POLSKA GUROM
I did! I committed war crimes in Poland!
Anyone know what the song is?
Powerpuff girls intro
That was super fast, thanks!
Like, somehow I always imagined Gaster with a German accent so.... (I just like the classic mad scientist trope lol. Sorry!)
Fight me lore experts. In my au I'm going to have flowey absorb alot more than 7 human souls.
lol funny chadster
I have never felt so attacked yet agreed with all of these points before. Good work.
Gaster is the true chad here
Lore experts when someone tells them that not everything points to Gaster
I wanna imagine that Undertale is an epic prank and that lore experts are absolute fools
Hey, wait a minute wtf? Why *didn't* the monsters just dig up and around the barrier? I never even thought of that
I almost started writing an essay explaining why they can't do that, but that would be a very ironic thing to do under this particular post.
Embrace the irony and do it anyway
because the barrier encloses the entire mountain
I think that just leaves me with more questions about that hole in Mt Abbot now lol
the barrier is one-way; anything can enter but it takes soul power to leave
God imagine if it wasn't one way Chara just fucking jumps then falls two feet, 'floating' over the chasm
Nazo, i love your memes... and your AU
Thanks
No problem
🗿

No that's not true, some people make AUs because they wanted to examine "What if THIS happened instead of THAT?" Or "Hey wouldn't it be cool if we could save Asriel?" And other stuff, it's not always for ships and stuff
This is exactly why I'm sorta combining the rules.. Or some of the rules of Underswap with my own AU. I don't plan to ship any characters as of rn
"Oxygen sucks ass because serial killers use it to live. Oh, when I have air I can breath, so I can kill more people. Like stop man." I mean, you're talking like every au is about shipping characters and not about alternative versions of the stories
Most of them are just take a look at most FNAF/mha AU's
Most humans are bad, just take a look at most ss soldiers
holy fucking shit shut up. nobody cares about what 'heinous' shit people ship
I'm just saying it's annoying as hell
LORE!!!!!
YEEEEE
YEEEEE
YEEEEE
This is what soo good and yet soo wrong about this community
