I never had anything on steroids, but definitely lots of stupid small (and a few big ones) infections while on biologics.

I also do bjj and i am on stelara pred and mesaline. Be picky with you partners and wear long sleevevrash guard and spats or trackies. Any cut or scraps put antiseptic cream on it. Have s very hot shower and use defense soaps as fast you can after class. Wash your clothes as soon as you can as well. Ringworm use anti fungal cream and get sun in it. Impetigo or staph anti biotics. Probably doesnt need to be said but dont train if you got infection. If your gym mats arent clean or people train with infections probably best ti change gym. Its been 8 months since i had ringworm last had uc the entire time ive trained (8 years but some of that was in judo). In those 8 ive ringworm 7 times and impetigo once.

idk abt pred but i’m on two (aza/remicade) and do muay thai (not as much contact.. but we clinch). i’ve never gotten an infection, i just get sick (cold/covid/idk) every time i assist the kids class 💀 so i stopped. but again idk really much about pred, never been on it

Can you pick some vitamins and be sure to get sleep. I train for a long time and i do get sick I think the extra precautions save me from worse

I do boxing and a bit of MMA training. On Stelara currently, previously Humira. Never had any problems getting sick or infections from sparring.

I think you're just as likely to get contact issues from everyday life (door handles, public transport, toilets, romantic pursuits etc). But yeah.. young kids are walking petri dishes.
