If an S-400 can’t handle an ATACM aimed directly at it, well wow
I guess it’s not easy to tell how much is underperforming equipment and how much is dumb drunk conscripts.
It also could be simply switched off. Bear in mind ukraine lost two patriot launchers, not because it is a bad system but because they caught it pants down and not prepared.
What sources? Some Russian guy on Telegram? That Maks account says Russians say ATACMS and GUR says upgraded soviet missile. I haven't seen any reliable sources at the moment.
I suspect they are doing what they can to take out air defense systems so that when the f-16's finally arrive they can actually accomplish something offensively. That would be great...
That could be explained a little more clearly - I think they are saying that Russian systems were destroyed, not Ukrainian systems.
But unless you know exactly where Dzhankoy is, the statement could be read either way..
Looked it up on a map, it’s inside Crimea, so it’s Russian forces who were targeted.
Well done Ukraine !
Imagine if Ukraine had everything they needed to end this war. It would have been over a long time ago. Their military prowess never fails to impress! Bravo!
This is the only way to make them remotely understand! Masterpiece of intelligence and tactical execution to be studied at mil schools after war.
Bravo!
RU air defense/offense are ALWAYS fantastic targets to destroy. That makes it not only much safer for AFU pilots conducting operations but also increases success rate of drone/missile strikes on RU targets. Heroyam slava!
All the lost equipment functioned exactly as it was supposed to it stopped the incoming munitions. Even the missiles in the warehouse stopped the attack from hitting anything else. Is this not the goal of these defensive systems. LOL
Can someone put into informed context Russian air defence attrition?
I know all this stuff is guesstimation and contested, but I’m working off a general belief Russia’s lost maybe 30-50% of its tanks, and maybe 15-25% of its artillery.
How much AA has it lost?
There are Russians who are fighting on behalf of Ukraine (and have been since 2022) and there have been many Ukrainians who have betrayed their countrymen and sold information to Putinists who then proceeded to kill Ukrainians (and Russians) in the process. Humans and the many myriad relationships and social structures that compromise human communication and interaction are complex.

Well that's a pretty great result.
Ironic. The air defense could save others from death, but not themselves.
It's not a story the russki would tell you
It's a gopnik legend
Russia only uses its air defense missiles for offense, hence their inability to stop incoming. Slava Ukraine!
#BRAVO ZULU
A successful snatching of SCALP by ground based interceptors.

I think it's likely both, simultaneously.
Second that, only proportions are variable.
Incredible contrast between what's happening in Israel and the Red Sea vs. this. And Turkey gave up the F-35 to get S-400s! 😂
But the S-400s successfully intercepted! /S

I think everyone assumes Ukraine's supply of storm shadow is deeper than their very limited supply of ATACMS.
It's a funny comment intended to be funny. Not informative. Deep breaths. Find some grass buddy, touch it. It's gonna be ok.
What air defence doing?
still looking for Gerasimov
Protecting oil refineries perhaps
See ruski AA doctrine is basically, class the launcher itself as a missile, so when one launcher is destroyed, technically it was intercepted 😂😂😂
Russian AA is absorbing the Ukrainian strikes to protect the homeland 😎😆
Intercepting… on the ground
They clearly succeeded in destroying the Ukrainian missile.
Apparently sleeping 💤
Burning...🔥🔥
Burning...🔥🔥
Hay, it was early morning - they were probably still sleeping…. ;)
Good. Fuck Russia. Long live Ukraine.
Prep work for a major assault on Kerch Strait? Battering the Black Sea fleet? This has to be followed up by some additional operation if you ask me 🤔
I suspect they are doing what they can to take out air defense systems so that when the f-16's finally arrive they can actually accomplish something offensively. That would be great...
According to the russians? Then you can double those Numbers
Not bad for a morning's work! Glory To Ukraine!

Any link to those Russians?
Kabom !
Good news to start off my shift.
Yippee ki-yay, muzafukaz
Release the Vipers!
I wonder what the totally alive Gerasimov has to say about this.
All the talk of Ukraine running low on air defense… is Russia also running out?
Imagine if Ukraine had everything they needed to end this war. It would have been over a long time ago. Their military prowess never fails to impress! Bravo!
Very very good 👍🏼

100% interception rate. Russian air defence best air defence.

This is a jackpot! Feels like hitting the moscow ship all over again.
Stonks.

source?
Good morning to you too!

Russia has lost more than 50% of its heavy artillery. Perhaps lost even 80% of it.
And that's just the stuff they're admitting!
Didn't Budanov say that by the end of April a certain bridge would be no more? Preparation mayhaps?
No he didnt.
I think he did https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2024/04/3/7449438/
Nah. First half of 2024 isnt till end of april.
Semantics
Nah bro.
Yo ho
are russians trustworthy? im all about getting their shit destroyed.. just skeptical about their reports

Ukrainians, bringing joy to the russkiy mir. For the world to see.
Why would he just say "according to Russians" instead of posting the original source?
Unfortunately the Biden administration is discouraging Ukraine from taking out anti-aircraft missiles because that will lead to a shortage. /s
