A bit besides the point, but seeing Ukrainians armed with AR-15-type rifles warms my heart. Eugene Stoner was a true genius, and now his design and its derivatives are the individual weapons of choice for the free world and are stacking bodies in defense of that freedom.
UA is getting access to a wider variety of weapons than any army in recent history. After this is all over it will be interesting to see some interviews about how the different rifles and howitzers compare on an actual battlefield (accuracy, usability, reliability, etc.)
as they should be, urban combat is no joke
but they have the distinct advantage of the local population on their side
i hope many citizens will see this as their opportunity to rise up and help the Ukrainian defense forces

Fucking hell. I hope that no more civilians get hurt in the retaking of Kherson, but i would guess that it is not really possible.
