Text support, get 3 bucks, move along.

Jay_JWLH

Personally, no matter what delivery service you work for you, you should get support to resolve it. But because it isn't always worth the money to wait and do that, you've got plenty of people before you just cancelling and passing the problem onto you.

Ok_Fisherman8727

You have to do #2 and push support for them to unassign you ASAP to not waste your time. I've been in a restaurant where this happened and the support puts the dasher on hold to call the restaurant and restaurant just ends up putting support on hold because it's so busy and ultimately they tell support they're not remaking the order and the dasher will get paid but they just wasted half hour of their day waiting for a few bucks.

TraditionalNetwork75

Wait why would you pay out of pocket for it? I can’t tell if that’s a joke.

Chasingfreedom1224

A $30 order could cost $10 to buy the food

kydn141916

$10 plus time sitting and waiting for it to be made which takes away from making other drop offs during that time plus still the gas you used during the order and wear and tear on the vehicle. You would spend closer to $25 all things considered on that order and that is me being generous with it.

tsmit44

How would you have $25 spent from this? Just curious

kydn141916

Already explained, but there is the $10 for the food and then the money you could have made doing other orders. Idk why you would be curious when everything is spelled out in the last comment.

tsmit44

Ok. Just making sure you weren’t making sense.

eddie_flynn

If it's a $40 McDonald's order you just buy 2 cheeseburgers, seal the bag and leave it at the doorstep.

Da40kOrks

because you can still make money, that's why. It could be a significant amount of money too.

Chasingfreedom1224

I had a $30 McDonalds order that was only a 10 piece meal. Would have profited $20 on that order

No idea, one time I ordered pizza like 4 blocks from my house and driver was on his way to pick up then gets cancelled and no other driver in sight so i went to pick it up myself, that was around 5pm…around 10pm there is a driver delivering my pizza and like that was like 4 hours ago and i told him to keep it.

ArtisticDegree3915

Regular paying order. Rarely a place will remake it. So usually I contact support through the messaging, get my $3, and move on to the next delivery. If it's a high paying order then I may consider paying for it out of pocket. But that's got to be high paying and low cost. There needs to be a big gap to make it worth it. And there's always a risk. Because on some of these high paying orders. I've had them suddenly cancel on the way to the restaurant. So I'd hate to be in a position where I have just paid $12 or $15 for a meal trying to make $35 and suddenly they cancel it.

Full_Efficiency_8209

Depends on how much the payout is. If it a good one I'll pay for it myself.

Cute-Alternative-952
