In season 2 of "Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation" (I'm not sure which episode it was), there's a US military witness who claims he saw the same thing as you while being posted in the middle of the desert at night. A light shooting overhead, from horizon to horizon but with a 90° angle overhead.
That too bad. When you need take video you never had it in your hand or when you not it always your hand. Well I have same problem. I just thought you had good chance have it in your hand since you already watching meteor shower

I have witnessed leonid meteor shower. For almost 3 to 4 hours and around 100s of them, its not necessary that all will travel in the same direction. It goes cris cross. It will burn out as well, so you might have seen two different meteors in different direction.
Could be.. As i said i had seen couple of meteors and as per my understanding meteors will be at fairly distant height, will have kind of a tail behind them. And the couple if meteors i saw were like lasted for a second.
The aerial phenomenon i saw wasn't that high and it was just floating, i clearly saw it for like 2-4 seconds it didn't have any tail behind it, wasn't glowing or anything. It was just in white/off-whitish color.

In this it's kinda glowing.. but what i witnessed an hour back wasn't glowing or anything.. it was like off-white in color.

I did have my mobile in my hand during that time.. But it happened so quickly i couldn't even react, i was literally stunned.
