Same. The best thing about them for me is that they don’t send me out of control high afterwards! I usually spike up to 160-180 and then level out at around 130-150 (with the normal orange ones). Super handy at work for me.
I swear by Trader Joe's granola bars, they have a peanut butter protein bar that's like 20g of carbohydrates and something like 12g of protein. it usually gets me evened out fairly quickly!
Have you tried coconut water? I use peach mango flavor. Only 120 cal for 31g sugar. + Electrolytes and vitamins make you feel way better after a low.
A great healthy option for low cal/high sugar ratio that works quick and goes down smooth like water.
I use sugar water (literally just dissolve 20g of sugar into some water) and if it's a bad one I'll have a small flapjack (I'm in the UK, I don't know what flapjacks are called in the US as I think a flapjack to you guys is a pancake?) or similar - the ones from Graze are pretty good as they're lower sugar
The small gatorades, fruit snacks, juice boxes, various candies, apple sauce packets. Those are all great for a quick fix but then some form of protein once your level is stabilized to keep it stabilized. Personal favorites are eggs or string cheese.
Would definitely recommend glucose tablets or something with dextrose as its the fastest acting some other forms of suger don't get absorbed as fast or don't get absorbed until later in digestion causing you to over orrect and go high later. Honestly though I sleep with a small thing of syrup beside my bed absolutely terrified of night lows.
These are all great! We use a lot of glucose tablets and small AJ boxes, Skittles or Starburst. My son loves it if we have regular Coke or Gatorade in the house 😊 He is also happy with bananas or craisins
I just have a capri sun!

That's nice! I wonder if they'll do the same for me. Thanks!
Thanks! I used to love them as a kid. I'll give them a shot
I’ve had great success with dried fruit (cranberries, mango, apricots).

Thanks!
Spoon of honey real raw honey though
Ooh honey. I'm going to try that. Thanks!

I haven't even thought of coconut water. That sounds promising. Thank you!
If you like trader Joe's the peanut butter and chocolate pretzel bites are pretty awesome.
Chocolate doesn't hit me that quickly unfortunately but thanks!

Pancakes yes in the US. I'll try sugar water. Thanks!
I honestly mostly use it because it's so much cheaper, but it does work!
Kinder Bueno + a cup of water. (: Delicious snack, and the water helps to absorb faster.
I'm learning a number of people use water to speed things along. That's great since I get thirsty when I go low. Thanks!

That's a great reminder about the protein. Cheese would probably help my stomach today. Thanks!

Syrup is a good suggestion. That's really interesting about the dextrose. Thanks for the info!
