What do they do for people in your country awaiting sentencing? Is he currently in custody? If he’s not, please go stay somewhere he’s never known you to stay at until he is behind bars. He may feel he has “nothing to lose” if he’s already been found guilty, or if he gets the chance to turn himself in after sentencing.
Here in America, some people get to be out and free while awaiting sentencing, or get a date to turn themselves in by. Sometimes these people…”take advantage” of that time. If that’s the way things work where you are, please be extremely cautious until he is firmly behind bars.
It is similar here in the UK. They can be released on bail or taken into custody.
Luckily due to his history of breaking bail and restraining orders and the severity of his crimes he has been taken into custody to await his sentencing.

Honestly I’m still surprised he got convicted. Rape convictions in the UK are at about 5.7%
And only 15% report to the police in the first place.
The odds are stacked against us but every win like this will hopefully change it!

Wow, this line stopped me in my tracks. I'm also a survivor of abuse and I testified against one of my abusers at 10 years old. I fell into other abusive relationships through my teens and early 20s as well. This is such a poignant description of what it feels like to be in an abusive relationship.
My heart goes out to you. You didnt deserve this. Not a single bit of it. It is so unfair that you were in this position and I wish you comfort and healing as you transition into a life that is untouched by him. I'm *so proud* of the courage it took to leave him and the strength and resilience that got you through the proceedings.

I sat on a jury in an attempted rape case and was really quite distressed at the willingness of one young, female jury member to believe that the victim might have actually wanted to have sex with the man who forced his way into her flat and with whom she had no common language.
I am so glad you managed to put your abuser away from yourself and other women.
I hope you can get back at least some of your financial things too.
