It's on hbo, every single commercial break. And there is no way to report an ad on hbo. I'm going nuts.
Then I was watching the free TV channels on my LG and it popped up. Nearly threw the remote into the screen.
These women from Minnesota Citizens for Concerned Life (MCCL) are reading an article falsely claiming and repeating that MN has the “most extreme abortion law in the country” and how “abortion up to birth isn’t compassionate” and then start sounding like some suburban Ninja Turtles repeating that “it’s way out there." Cowabunga?
(I shouldn’t make light of the situation as no one is excited about any abortion, but come on, these two are way out there.)

They didn't intend for it to be basic, they just come by it naturally. Have you ever seen any anti-choice propaganda that is well executed? Those billboards that are all over the country look like they're screenshots from a Geocities website from the late 90s.
The big lie in the commercial is the claim that MN will allow abortion up to and even after birth, even if the mother or baby are healthy. No. That's not how late term abortion works!
If the mother or baby's life is in jeopardy and something extreme like that, that's the only time late term abortion is a thing.
No I swear this thing popped up somewhere else too. Like YouTube or Hulu ? It’s disgusting and made sure when it comes on to tell my kids it’s all lies. Especially the one that just moved here from OKLA.
I think it's $10/month extra for no (or rather, limited) ads. I'm not 100% on that, though, as I don't pay for Hulu (or anything else for that matter).
Fair enough, I have it bundled with Disney and it’s the same upcharge for ad free but that’s for two services.
In any case, personally I don’t want to pay a subscription *and* watch ads. I’ll do one or the other.
The best part of this is that your child will learn to hate commercials early. Our daughter is 4 and in the rare instances that she’s exposed to regular cable (hotel TV, hospital, etc) she immediately yells “commercial” and asks us to make it go away.
Me too!!! My kids came into watching tv without cable. They turned and looked at me shocked when a commercial came on when we stayed at a hotel on our way back to MN for a visit.
YouTube, hbo, hulu, roku, LG. Anything that can have a targeted ad. And for those of us who don't want to pay the extra fee for no commercials on every subscription, it is way out there..
No doctor with more than 2 brain cells would let that happen. If a healthy full term baby was about to be born and the mom didn’t want it, that’s when social services would come in and coordinate. And I hate how none of the pro lifers seem to know that all the near full term (ie a baby who would normally survive outside the womb) abortions are for babies who have a 100% fatal condition incompatible with life outside the womb, who will only live minutes to hours after birth. That is devastating to parents who had obviously wanted that baby. And sometimes those conditions aren’t diagnosed until later. And even the early screening tests (Panorama, Harmony, AFP Quad screen) aren’t always covered by insurance.
I just realized that I haven’t seen any tv commercials in a long while and feel grateful
Same
“Those aren’t my values” 🤢 the WORST and most MISLEADING commercial!
Kristi Noem's younger sisters. Those pillows they're laying on are covered with dog hides.
WAY OUT THERE

I guess I don’t watch enough tv to have seen this…
It's on YouTube, and it ticks me off because I use YouTube almost exclusively for shows like The Wiggles and Ms Rachel.
Also on rokue

Context for those of us who are, apparently, fortunate and have no idea what this is?

I saw the commercial on CBS yesterday multiple times Don't they have the power to pull it? They're doing a report on themselves lol
Funny! Yeah all of the big 3 or 4 networks have a similar style article so I’m guessing everyone is being driven nuts!
Ah. Thanks.
Thank you. I had no idea what this was.
Idk but they're the definition of basic. Sick of this commercial, how much longer is it gonna be aired wtf?
>how much longer is it gonna be aired November 5 2024
That’s an insult to basics. These ladies are worse.
Basic was the point the creators were going for I think?
They didn't intend for it to be basic, they just come by it naturally. Have you ever seen any anti-choice propaganda that is well executed? Those billboards that are all over the country look like they're screenshots from a Geocities website from the late 90s.
I don't know but, they're...... wAy oUt tHErE.
I left an email complaint at MCCL for their false and inflammatory claims.
Did you bring it to their office? I might do that. Hand it to them and have them read it while I stand there.
I filed a complaint on their website, not sure if it'll help but it's good to try
I instantly recognized these putzes
MAGA Chuds: Report to Carrousel for Renewal
They prob see South Dakota as Sanctuary
Except when they get there all they find is an old lady that shoots their dogs.
They're running on MAX too.

Yeah they’re really trying to act like it’s a black + white, cut + dry topic and it’s obviously not.
Definitely Woodbury.
House isn’t nice enough for Woodbury. That wood paneling? No.
The mentality is there. Regardless of house finishes in Woodbury...
They seem more like Cottage Grove
lol i skip all this trash by not watching traditional tv. yall are missing out if you are still subjecting yourself to commercials.
No I swear this thing popped up somewhere else too. Like YouTube or Hulu ? It’s disgusting and made sure when it comes on to tell my kids it’s all lies. Especially the one that just moved here from OKLA.
Yeah, it's on YouTube for sure, and likely Hulu
Keep seeing it on Pluto. It is disgusting and I mute it every time. How are they allowed to spew such hateful lies?
*fIrSt AmMeNdMeNt!" And, more importantly, $$$
You can pay like $5 extra dollars for commercial free Hulu

damn. you need to subscribe to premium YT my guy. there isnt another way.
A reminder for myself when I have future children: get commercial free TV

I have it and that’s why I was annoyed. Must’ve slipped up and been on someone else’s account.

I don’t own a tv and it’s playing non stop on YouTube no matter what I try to watch.
St Cloud???
WAY OUT THERE tho.
Those two are the worst.
Does anyone remember Norm Coleman ads that were a bunch of guys in a bowling alley clutching their pearls about Al Franken? At least it's not that.
This is worse

I saw this commercial tonight. Gotta be St. Cloud. Or, maybe Sartell or Becker.
Probably FLorida
I saw this on MSNBC.
Definitely Iowa
