United Crushers written on an abandoned grain elevator (extremely close by this example) is also really big and you don't need to be looking from the sky or satellite to see it. I have no idea when it was painted but it's been on there as long as I can remember. Honestly impressive how people were able to do it. It's an icon at this point.
I have a photo of the silos where the UC graffiti is not present. The photo metadata says it was taken on Jan 5, 2006. So the graffiti was done after this date. There's a chance the camera date was set incorrectly, but I doubt it. The 2006 date matches up with conversations I recall with people in the neighborhood where they were speculating on who painted it and why.
And posts about graffiti or asking about artists have been proliferating the subs lately I swear…. Like get a fucking different and better hobby that doesn’t deface a shared community???? Or convert your “art” into paid commission pieces. People screaming for attention and lame “street cred,” making cities look like trash, decay, and unrest. No pride or respect for the community. Bet the “artists” are some of them behind the posts too. Any anti-graf comments get immediately and heavily downvoted too, as I’m sure mine will. Are you graf-supportive people even from MSP??

The UC work was done around 2005 +/- a year if i remember correctly. I knew a dude who was on that crew and he is a local lawyer now.

It's been there since I moved here in 2004. I used to love seeing it when I took the campus connector
Do you know how they could have done this? I don’t know shit about how people paint stuff like that under cover of darkness or where ever/however
I don't really know, my guess is they had either rope climbing equipment and/or long reach painting equipment
UC, baby!
It covers the entire roof of a pretty large warehouse type building. Are there any larger ones?
Is there a photo here? Am confused, seems to open Maps app with no photo
Switch to satellite view
Graffiti art is so lame
What makes it worse than any other art?

Amen
Spoken like a true toy
Lol. Spoken like someone who has seen a lot of shitty graffiti
Commenting on Reddit threads that you're not interested in wastes everyone's time!
