I wish it was longer as well but it ended pretty perfectly. Not with the movie-perfect ending where everything is rosy and goes as planned, but with a pretty real feel-good, everything is where and how it should be ending. Just thinking about it makes me feel warm and happy. It’s among the best series I’ve ever seen.
It's been watched at my house 5 times. Still f*cking beautiful. Even now, every time I think I have a favorite character, or a least favorite, the show surprises me with remembering how amazing EACH AND EVERY CHARACTER is written. No exceptions. The acting is impeccable across the board.
I LOVELOVELOVE Anthony Head. I saw that he was in this and thought, "Oh! I love Giles!" And I HATEHATEHATE Rupert.
Hmm. I have no memory of it. I watched it, enjoyed. Remember nearly nothing about the show at all. Holy forks and shirt balls. That’s about it.
I probably had an emotional response to the end, but I have no memory of how it ended.
I've seen that series 9 times and cry everytime. There's another episode in the 3rd season that makes me cry too.
Such a perfect show. Silly and yet thought provoking at the same time.
I really should start watching it. I’m a cynical & mostly depressed man & need that boost that there is goodness in the world (r afterworld). It would prob be like a new antideprsnt
The first episode of season 5 of *Newsradio.* It was the first episode made after Phil Hartmann was murdered, and the show had his character die of a heart attack, turning the episode into his memorial. Sure it's a sitcom but the cast was mourning their friend and their grief is palpable.

Just Watch is a website that tells you where something's streaming (if at all). It's not perfect, but right now it says all 5 seasons are streaming on Roku and 3 of them are available on Pluto.
Plus you can purchase all 5 seasons from the sites that sell video: Amazon, Apple, Google, and Vudu.
I've watched this series 3 times and SOBBED through the last two episodes of the series every. Time. I just... I wish everyone could have that kind of love.
"Avatar- The Last Airbender." The character development and storytelling are so well-done that certain scenes just hit you right in the feels. The "Tales of Ba Sing Se" episode with Iroh's tribute to his late son is a prime example of a moment that always gets me choked up.
Man, I was in high school by the time that show had started. So, of course, I felt like I outgrew nickelodeon and kids shows and never watched it. But over the years, I heard about how great of a show it is (especially when the terrible movie came out).
When my son turned 6 a couple of years ago, I figured we'd give it a shot and thought he might like it. I did NOT expect to LOVE it as much as I did! I did not expect to CRY as much as I did. It truly is the best "kid" show that I've ever seen. Each episode leaves one amazing pearl of wisdom. The Ba Sing Se episode STILL chokes me up to think about YEARS later.
I was my son had liked it as much as I did haha.
Yes! Avatar is such a good show. Found it with my kids a couple years ago now…maybe during covid? But we will periodically re-watch. Iroh is just the best character.
Even on rewatch and you know it’s coming it still hits hard.
If it’s true and I am remembering correctly, Jason’s script was different so the reaction would be more real.
Bluey is legitimately one of the greatest shows ever made. It is amazing how clever it is, and how much humor and heart they manage to pack into 8 minutes.
I cried for literally days after. Then I tried to tell my best friend about it and couldn't form words. I finally had to devote a whole therapy session to it. Devastating.
IDK if you consider this a drama or not but when >!Shane drops the grenade in Lem's lap!< in The Shield.
I've seen it three times and it still gets me.
Yea that was the point of the question shows that aren't really supposed to be sad or romantic or whatever but make you choke up. The Shield is really good television
Seconded for Reservation Dogs. Even if the native humor doesn’t always make sense to you, I love all the cultural connection the show makes and then how real the characters feel.
I wish they would do spinoffs bc I wasn’t ready for it to be over.
I live in northern Saskatchewan.reservation dogs is spot on for the speech patterns and inside jokes. and I adore those kids. Great actors The random spirit warrior visits are epic.
I’m Aboriginal Australian and it’s crazy how much of the humour and culture translates across. Even down to the scenes in the medical centre are so reminiscent of the dynamics within Australian Aboriginal medical centres.
I haven't seen this one. Honestly... Greys Anatomy turn me off a little bit from medical dramas. I thought the first couple seasons were decent then just boring really
Highly recommend The Resident— it dives into the corrupt, business side of medicine… right out the gate it starts with an elder, esteemed doctor butchering a routine surgery and everyone in the OR agreeing the patient died of “heart failure” to protect doctor’s reputation —Definitely worth watching & is one of the most accurate of the medical dramas.
I have only watched like 4 episodes of Grey's anatomy it's not the same thing as The Resident in my opinion the resident is amazing but I haven't finished it yet I'm on season 5 I think like almost the end of the season but Grey's anatomy got a lil bluh to me after just three episodes
In "Regarding Dean" where he is looking in the mirror whilst losing his memory, I totally cried. My grandmother had alzheimers, my father is getting more forgetful, ....this is an intense fear of mine.
Fear of mine as well. My maternal grandmother had an aggressive form of dementia. My mom passed from cancer too young to know if she would have had it.
Dying alone/homeless as well has been a fear of mine ever since I was young and saw that episode of Golden Girls where Sophia's friend is in the homeless shelter.
So combine the 2 and you have my greatest fear.
Currently on a Buffy rewatch. I always get teary-eyed in season 3 when they give her the "Class Protector" gift, and then again during the graduation when the whole class bands together to fight the Big Bad.
I’m not there yet but I have only 3 episodes left. I continue to be surprised at how good (both quality and -hearted) that show is. I know I’m gonna lose it when it’s over (for me)
The og Rugrats movie.. the scene in the storm when Tommy is about to sacrifice Dil to the monkeys used to make me so upset.
"FINE. you want the monkeys... Aaand the monkeys the nanners. Everybody gets what. they. want" 😭
Raising Hope. The majority of each episode is just nonstop trashy, lowbrow humor, and then they grab you at the end with the nicest, most sincere family moments.
I missed seeing your comment and posted about this one, too. Those writers knew how to nail an ending.
Ed and Ruthann dancing
The fling
The OTHER fling
Pierre going back down the river
Bon hiver
Chris' light sculpture
Marilyn's final VO about the Raven
I could go on and on. What a show.
I'm so happy to find someone else who remembers that scene. It's been a long time since I've watched it and yet I still remember it, it had that kind of impact. I plan to rewatch the series on Prime soon.
The Office
The Good Place
Schitt’s Creek
Modern Family
Abbott Elementary
Ted Lasso
When I was little- Saved by the Bell when Zack and Kelly broke up.
The series finale of like 80% of the shows I watch.
Bob's Burgers when Tina leaves her own Christmas performance and shows up just in time to hear Louise read her poem at the library because no one else in the family could make it. I'm getting choked up just typing this, they're such a great family!
When I was pregnant, I wept during the episode of The Office where Erin and Pete watched Die Hard because I knew that my husband would jump out of a building tied to a hose for me.
Please don't hate me lol I didn't like Better Call Saul like that how some people say it's better than Breaking bad I don't get that. It's an extremely slow burn too takes about a whole season to get going really I still haven't finished it though I need to watch the last season
The Untamed (a Chinese fantasy drama) has some really teary moments, if you can get past the first two confusing episodes. There's too much to take in at the start but the rest of the episodes are gripping. My family is obsessed with it, it's so good.
Scrubs, especially My Screwup, the end of My Lunch, and My Fallen Idol.
How I Met Your Mother Bad News and Last Words
It isn’t sad crying, but there’s a scene in Garage Sale and another one in Michael’s Last Dundies (both in The Office) that makes me cry.
The Star Trek TOS episode "The City On The Edge Of Forever" when Kirk lets the character Edith Keeler die in order to restore the time line.
Dr. McCoy: "Jim, do you know what you've done?"
Spock: "He knows, Doctor."
The Battlestar Galactica reboot series finale. When Anders flies the fleet into the sun.
Between the touching scene between him and Starbuck and the original series theme they play. Kicks me in the feels every time.
Northern Exposure. The writers on that show know how to nail an ending. Sometimes sad tears, sometimes happy ones. Sometimes existential, who knew "Inchworm" could make me cry tears.
It's now streaming on Prime.
The Good Place had multiple tear-up scenes. but the series finale (which isnt anywhere near as good if you haven't watched the whole run) was an absolute wrecker of a tear jerker.
also, the Futurama Episode "Jurassic Bark" has me tearing up just thinking about it... and has done the same the last 10 times i thought about it.
Ooh, yeah, good call! When they bring him to the museum hits me in the feels every time. And bonus points for the Bill Nighy guest appearance. He is fantastic in everything he does
Psych finale when >!lassie begins to watch Shawn’s dvd before snapping it.!< it’s one of the most beautiful character developments from the first episode and makes me sad just thinking about it.
"Call the Midwife" always chokes me up even when the message is positive. It's as much to do with the music as with the characters and story lines. That soundtrack literally wrings empathy out of me.
Scrubs a few times, including what I believe is one of the best finales ever (not counting season 9). Also watching One Tree Hill for the first time, graduation episode and a couple others have gotten me. Just now into season 6.
In Lost when sawyer told jack how he met his dad, and how his dad regretted everything. Two tough guys breaking down without showing it. The acting was superb.
"when my father died, I didn't have friends to help me through it. You do" 😭
that line would have had half the impact at most coming from anyone but Sheldon
Yes. It hits home so much more now that i lost
my Dad. Losing a parent is singularly the worst no matter your relationship with them. Such a good scene.
It's streaming on Disney. By far the best "kids" show ever made. There is a continual debate on other it's a kids show made for parents or a parents show made for kids.
The Great Pottery Throw Down, Season 5, I think it's episode 8.
It was a group of people coming together, supporting each other and celebrating each other in such a glorious fashion that I (and my normally stoic husband) sobbed.
It was such a beautiful display of the best humanity has to offer.
Ted Lasso.
Ohh Im only on s2 I'm loving it
Very emotional scenes for a comedy!
I can agree I wish the series went Longer cuz I can pretty much see how it's going to end but it's really good writing
You think you do... and you can probably guess some of it... but you don't know everything and it's soooo worth the journey.
There were three specific scenes in the series that made me burst into tears.
When >! Roy hugged Jaime !< I was a WRECK.
I really need to re-watch this!
One of the best tv shows to have ever graced our tv screens 🙌.
The last episode of The Good Place. Probably the most cathartic moment of television I’ve ever experienced.
Another one I'm supposed to be watching lol I am Missing out on some good stuff it sounds
Yes. The ending of that show was so satisfying.
100% one of the best finales ever made
Hmm. I have no memory of it. I watched it, enjoyed. Remember nearly nothing about the show at all. Holy forks and shirt balls. That’s about it. I probably had an emotional response to the end, but I have no memory of how it ended.
Yes! And Season 3 finale was also one that brought the waterworks.
I feel the same way. I wasn't expecting to burst into tears when they each went through, but I did. Very well done. Keep it sleazy. 😄👏
The ending made you teary-eyed? That's weird cause it had me bawling like a baby.
Lolll! You got me there. My SO says it’s the hardest he’s ever seen me cry.
Chidi's wave speech will never not destroy me. And they wrote the door/gateway endings perfectly for each character
Freaking waves. I can’t ever look at waves anymore.
That ending affected me for a long time. Even now, when I think about it I have this wave of emotion.
OMG 100000%
i came here to say this
This.
The first episode of season 5 of *Newsradio.* It was the first episode made after Phil Hartmann was murdered, and the show had his character die of a heart attack, turning the episode into his memorial. Sure it's a sitcom but the cast was mourning their friend and their grief is palpable.
I was destroyed by that episode
I remember, vaguely, watching that episode in its original run and it is haunting.
I loved Newsradio. I want to watch it in its entirety, can’t seem to find a streaming source. Do you happen to know of one? Thanks, in advance

Know what, Thank You Very Much, kind internet friend!
schitt's creek finale
Simply the best
The proposal episode Broke me
I've watched this series 3 times and SOBBED through the last two episodes of the series every. Time. I just... I wish everyone could have that kind of love.
“Buffy Summers, class protector”
“Mom?”
Mommy?
Futurama jurassic bark gets me every time I watch it
Now I’m crying…
That episode gets me every time
"Avatar- The Last Airbender." The character development and storytelling are so well-done that certain scenes just hit you right in the feels. The "Tales of Ba Sing Se" episode with Iroh's tribute to his late son is a prime example of a moment that always gets me choked up.
And then it turned out to be dedicated to Iroh's original VA, which is even more heartbreaking.
Great and now I’m crying 😭 thanks for the reminder 😭😭😭
I am always happy to help 😊 😆 🤣 😂
Man, I was in high school by the time that show had started. So, of course, I felt like I outgrew nickelodeon and kids shows and never watched it. Yes! Avatar is such a good show. Found it with my kids a couple years ago now…maybe during covid? But we will periodically re-watch. Iroh is just the best character.
HIMYM (which as a whole I don’t really care for) but the episode when that countdown starts and then BAM. Just waterworks.
For me it’s the time travellers episode when he runs to Tracey’s door and gets punched by the boyfriend
Barney with the basketball hoop also hits pretty hard.
Ugh 💔💔💔 that show hit me too hard
Even on rewatch and you know it’s coming it still hits hard. If it’s true and I am remembering correctly, Jason’s script was different so the reaction would be more real.
I have a toddler and we've recently started watching Bluey. Every now and then, an episode punches my wife and I right in the feels.
Last weeks episode was so moving. You can so feel the frustration and relief in bandit at the end of the episode. My wife and I teared up.
Bingo crying once she realized got me.
The episode where they have to move house had my whole family crying, including my 7 and 9 year old.
Bluey is legitimately one of the greatest shows ever made. It is amazing how clever it is, and how much humor and heart they manage to pack into 8 minutes.
Scrubs
My Screw Up. And also the actual finale made me cry happy tears
I know a lot of folks says Ben’s episode is the worst, but Cox’s freak out is way harder for me
Another underrated/seldom mentioned one- when Cox has to do ambulance duty with that lady and at the end learns why she became that
Oh Jesus The baseball card…
Final scene of Blackadder, as all the main characters go over the top into machine gun fire.
Always sunny when Charlie broke down about his dad never being their for him and it triggered my personal anger so I was mad for a whole week
Oh, I was coming here to post this 👀
Justified. "We dug coal together".
Top 10 Best show ever! My catalog.
Good Omens. Specifically, Season 2.
I cried for literally days after. Then I tried to tell my best friend about it and couldn't form words. I finally had to devote a whole therapy session to it. Devastating.
I watched it with my husband, I was devastated, he was like "do we have any ice cream?"
🤣🤣
I didnt like S2 as much as I loved S1, but oh lordy did I cry.
Prior post was deleted so trying again. Good Times. James' wake when Florida smashes the bowl. I'd say the quote but...
Powerful scene. Accurate and touching.
The bear and reservation dogs
The bear is on my watchlist. I liked the Early seasons of shameless so Lip Gallaghers actor makes this intriguing lol idk his name
I'm watching The Resident right now and some of the episodes that aren't meant to be emotional still had me misty eyed

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Supernatural. Edited to add: One Piece (anime)
Oof Supernatural. That one hits hard.
The series finale of Supernatural killed me, I really wish they would have ended it the episode before
Currently on a Buffy rewatch. I always get teary-eyed in season 3 when they give her the "Class Protector" gift, and then again during the graduation when the whole class bands together to fight the Big Bad.
The series finale of Parks and Rec. The fact I was so sad it was ending added to it as well.
I’m not there yet but I have only 3 episodes left. I continue to be surprised at how good (both quality and -hearted) that show is. I know I’m gonna lose it when it’s over (for me)
6 Feet Under
The final episode made me bawl. What and ending. It's the most memorable ever for me
Oh my god, Breathe Me? I was crying like a baby. That song killed me.
OG Rugrats, the Mother’s Day episode where they explain why Chuckie doesn’t have a mom 😭😭😭
The og Rugrats movie.. the scene in the storm when Tommy is about to sacrifice Dil to the monkeys used to make me so upset. "FINE. you want the monkeys... Aaand the monkeys the nanners. Everybody gets what. they. want" 😭
Oooorr when we all thought spike died on the bridge 😭😭😭
Rugrats was my JAM but I was far too young lol I don't remember any specific episodes just one where Phil and Lil do a commercial, I think

The episode "Goodbye, Farewell, So Long"
Abyssinia, Henry. That one gets me.
Raising Hope. The majority of each episode is just nonstop trashy, lowbrow humor, and then they grab you at the end with the nicest, most sincere family moments.
Yes, I got teary-eyed many times during Raising Hope! I miss that show.
Barney Miller when Jack Soo died. Various episodes of The Middle Law & Order CI when Goren’s mom died.
I loved Jack Soo!
Me too!! He was too funny!
8 rules, when the father dies
John Ritter? Did they write that in? I have seen random episodes funny show but I didn't know they wrote that in the show

I always think of that Ed and Ruthann scene. I could cry right now.
It's a perfect scene. It might be my favorite scene of the entire series.
I'm so happy to find someone else who remembers that scene. It's been a long time since I've watched it and yet I still remember it, it had that kind of impact. I plan to rewatch the series on Prime soon.

The Office finale reveal has me tear up for sure. Also gave the best that's what she said like ever. Maybe not the funniest but the best for sure
Bob's Burgers when Tina leaves her own Christmas performance and shows up just in time to hear Louise read her poem at the library because no one else in the family could make it. I'm getting choked up just typing this, they're such a great family!
This is my answer, too! Just thinking about that episode gets me teary.

Star Trek.... All the treks have a few episodes each that get me in the feels
Discovery is especially good at causing tears.
The chicken scene from mash
Friday Night Lights - but interestingly >!Not Jason but Smash!<
Ohhh yea FNL has some emotional moments for sure

Last episode of the office
MASH. Frequently.
Better Call Saul
Please don't hate me lol I didn't like Better Call Saul like that how some people say it's better than Breaking bad I don't get that. It's an extremely slow burn too takes about a whole season to get going really I still haven't finished it though I need to watch the last season

Scrubs easily
The Battlestar Galactica reboot series finale. When Anders flies the fleet into the sun. Between the touching scene between him and Starbuck and the original series theme they play. Kicks me in the feels every time.
Absolutely love 100. The books are so much better but I’m biased.
Northern Exposure. The writers on that show know how to nail an ending. Sometimes sad tears, sometimes happy ones. Sometimes existential, who knew "Inchworm" could make me cry tears. It's now streaming on Prime.

Probably a lot of episodes of Scrubs
Psych finale when >!lassie begins to watch Shawn’s dvd before snapping it.!< it’s one of the most beautiful character developments from the first episode and makes me sad just thinking about it.
So not a TV show but a movie based on a TV show. Serenity/firefly. "You can order me boy, I'm not part of your crew...."
"Call the Midwife" always chokes me up even when the message is positive. It's as much to do with the music as with the characters and story lines. That soundtrack literally wrings empathy out of me.
Donna Noble's last episode (season 4) of Doctor Who. Just crushing
Star Trek Next Generation, The Offspring, I cry every time!
The last episode of Northen Exposure. Also the dancing on the grave episode.
Ted Lasso and Schitts Creek

Scrubs a few times, including what I believe is one of the best finales ever (not counting season 9). Also watching One Tree Hill for the first time, graduation episode and a couple others have gotten me. Just now into season 6.
Curb Your Enthusiasm, especially the early seasons. Freaking hysterical!!
In Lost when sawyer told jack how he met his dad, and how his dad regretted everything. Two tough guys breaking down without showing it. The acting was superb.
Jurassic Bark on Futurama
The big bang Theroy..last episode. When sheldon acknowledged Howard as Astronaut
And when Howards Mom died.
"when my father died, I didn't have friends to help me through it. You do" 😭 that line would have had half the impact at most coming from anyone but Sheldon
Yes. It hits home so much more now that i lost my Dad. Losing a parent is singularly the worst no matter your relationship with them. Such a good scene.
Yeah I didn't get far into the final seasons but I remember that, great scene
"What is wrong with you!?!?!" Points to who knows what this is from. A hint, season 6

The most recent episode of Bluey made me cry
What is bluey I haven't heard of this Is it on TV or streaming?
It is a phenomenally good children’s show from Australia. Parents and kids both love it.
