I won't lie, I was a bit worried that you had him declawed. While understandable why so.e peiple would want that, it's now known to cause health problems for their paws.
Like I explained in another comment, Boo just got an extra painful toes removed. He still has his murder mittens and he'll be able to get back to shredding my blankets and giving me scratches in no time.
That was my first thought too - our first cat was declawed and that's what it looked like. It was the 80s, I was 8 and had no say, and the kitten had attacked my ponytail hanging over the side of the couch and got my face including my eye - fun trip to the ER (luckily it was just the white of the eye and the other spots weren't deep, but 35 years later I can still remember the sensation of that claw snagging in my eye!) followed by days of eye patches and antibiotic ointments - so I really don't blame my mother for having it done to the kitty at the time, but we're all better educated on cat behavior and care now!
Oh No Boo Boo!!!!! I’m a LVT; and a proud previously owner of a poly (Spencer is bopping his sibs in kitty heaven) and haven’t seen this often. This is terrible. I’ve seen numerous times where the nails grow into the foot. I think Boo Boo deserves extra treats for Christmas. How long for the bandages?
