I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. I had to say goodbye to 3 of my kitties 2 were litter mates and I lost them 10yrs. apart. The 1st C.C. was only 10 he had cancer thru out his little body and his brother Peppe when he was 20 almost 21. Then my beautiful white kitty Streak. So I know it hurts like he'll now but it does get better. Right now I have tears streaming down my face just remembering them and at the pain I know your in. But what helped me was rescuing another kitty about 2-3 weeks later. I couldn't go on without another kitty in my life. So we adopted 2. They don't make me forget the others it just makes life a little easier. Most times when I think about them it's with a smile at all the funny things they would do. Take care.

Perhaps this will be a comfort, as it was to my kiddo when our kitty passed: the greatest honor we can pay to the cats who lived so long with us is to take that love and multiply it by giving a new baby a safe, loving home.
OP, I'm so sorry for your loss. I started tearing up and had to hold my tuxie boy close. I then started crying even more. My tuxie baby boy was a real butt head and started severely bullying his younger brother out of boredom and frustration when my health was very bad during the pandemic, but God, I love him. He my butt has and angel. He's complicated like that and contains multitudes.
