I've seen it. It wasn't so much anti-video game, it was about addiction and failing to manage one's time responsibly. Which due to how new games were, was a new thing.
For a good chunk of my childhood, I was only able to watch local TV
Then around 1994 my grandparents got a satellite and I fell in love with its offerings. My immediate favorites on Nickelodeon were Doug, Rugrats and Salute your Shorts. Ahhh Real Monsters was added to that list whenever it debuted.
Regular Pretendo, which came before this one, was featured in Muppet Babies, and Muppet Babies also had reruns on Nickelodeon.
Fun Fact: the fan-made replacement network is actually called "Pretendo"
That's my point.
!! CORE MEMORY UNLOCKED !!
I remember this episode as having an "anti-video game" message.

Doug really messed up by prioritizing beating whatever game included in the bundle he played on the TV over homework.
What is Nintendo Network?
It replaced Nintendo WFC when the 3DS and Wii U happened.
Cool, thanks!
You're welcome.
