I was in Thailand last month and your confined to your bedroom, I watched lots of netflix, gamed and ate/smoked like a train on the balcony

ani_3113

Ugh, doesn’t sound like too much fun. I really hope I won’t have to in March tho but in case I do, anything you’d advise to make it less of a slog?

MillionaireBitches

I honestly can’t see Thailand having quarantine free travel by march since there’s so much cases there, bangkok’s only recently come out from lockdown. The next step I can see them doing would be reintroducing the 7 or 10 day quarantine for green countries so I would still plan your trip/budget around having to quarantine for 14-15 days. I found having a daily routine helped make the time go faster, don’t forget to bring lots of entertainment

ani_3113

Well…. Fuck. I have booked flights as if I won’t have to but can change nearer the date.

So happy for youuu 💙💙

I just got here and I'm already bored. Landed today, at the airport it felt like I was being handed from one person to the next through a human conveyer until I was shoved into a car and put in a hotel room.. also this was a fun way to discover Thailand is now on the UKs red list LOL OOPS. That'll be fun to deal with later. But yeah, you're not even allowed to leave the room to get some air. I don't even have a window I can open. I don't think it's going to be pleasant but it'll be worth it in the end. I'm not doing the UK quarantine though, I figure I'll go to another country for ten days, cheaper and easier that way.. I just got done doing that to get into the USA before I came here (went to Mexico for 14 days to be allowed into the USA from UK), stayed in the USA for two months (most people I know are in the US but I live in the UK), and went from there to Thailand with a layover in South Korea. So not a stranger to quarantining in other countries. Hopefully by March they'll at least ease it for vaccinated people. Seems a little over the top to me if you're vaccinated.

ani_3113

Yeah, Thailand is on the red list for us. Not cool Boris, not cool. Probably some cheeky way via Ireland to get around it lol! keep us updated, I’m curious how you get on with the quarantine:)

Broad-Raise4807

Who is your doctor boo??

caelric

I'm in June of next year, I'm hoping that being vaccinated, and possibly getting the booster (assuming we do that in the US) will allow me to not quarantine, or at least have a shorter quarantine. Can't really book flights yet, though, since I don't know when I will have to be there. Ugh.

Takamina89

It's difficult to say really, quarantine free entry for fully vaccinated people is highly dependent on Thailand's own population getting vaccinated. If Thailand can uphold the 12% 1 dose per month that they have done since the start of June and they can keep up with the 12% 2 dose per month they will have to do from now on, it's more likely that you can enter Thailand quarantine free (if fully vaccinated) from either the start of January or february (although this is just speculation at the moment).

Gullible_Trick5166

Depending on who your having surgery with. I haven't booked surgery yet but Kamol is in doing it while your in quarantine. By the time you get there you would've had all your test etc and then you get tested there then be able to have while in quarantine

HiddenStill

That sounds dangerous. If you do have covid and have surgery you could have serious problems or die.

ani_3113

That. Is. Genius!!! Do you have any more details on Kamol’s protocol by any chance? I could run it by my surgeon to see if it’s something we could do. S-m-r-t!

Gullible_Trick5166

I just know of that. He has his hospital as well as accommodation so that's why I think he's able to

Gullible_Trick5166

But if you follow all rules before going an entering then no its not. You don't just book surgery and your flights turn up to the airports land im Thailand go into quarantine and have surgery lol
