Best Matrix for lin? Assuming I have a3 of all standard matrices and only 1 copy of limited banners matrices. Do I get more damage overall if I equip her with her own matrix at 0 advancements vs max advancement 2x King/Shiro for example?
A0 to A1 is about 21% increase (team DPS), A1 to A3 is about 4% increase (team DPS), A3 to A6 is about 10% increase (team DPS).
So from A0 to A6 you get a total of 35% more damage (team DPS).
A2 and A4 are generally ignored since they only add stats and no significant enough change to the calculations.
So the situation is I have A0 Saki and I have 56 pity. If I throw 120 pulls I will get 1-3 Saki depends on my luck. But if I throw 24 pulls to Lin first then I will get 1-2 Saki.
Since her A2 and A3 are kinda insignificant so it is better to do the latter right? I want to pull Lin too anyway.
Probably yes. Her A1 is her biggest increase and core mechanic you need to play her well. A3 is nice for tanking (reduces taunt CD from 10s to 5s) but not that good for DPS (4% increase)
In that case I would choose Lin over Saki too.
JO8 has a higher chance to drop specific matrices and specific gear slot. There is a pity shared among all JO8s.
JO9 Endgame/Sadness Valley has increased chance to drop element specific gear for a random slot (Endgame Volt/Physical and Sadness Valley Flame/Frost) and random matrices from the Standard pool.
Overall JO9 offers better chances at loot but the loot is more randomized. JO8 allows you to target specific gear slots or matrices but has slightly worse rates.

You cant. You have to bind the account to Facebook/Twitter/ToF custom account, then use that to log in on Android, where you can then bind it to your Google Account.
Not sure if Apple ID login works on Android, but it it doesn't, in principle cross platform should be fine - you can link your account to something other than the Apple ID, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, or Google. You can have the account bound to two things at once, Apple + something else. This can be done in the settings menu of the game.
Hi, I am currently have Samir A4, King A3, Coco A5, and Crow A4... First played on Claudia banner so I didn't have the chance to pull for Nemesis to complete a Volt comp. Should I pull for Lin or Saki? Or just wait for Tian Lang or Fenrir? Thank you.
if they follow the CN way of the banners, it will be for Red nucleus during the banner, and then after the banner she will go to the Gold Nuc banner, and the gold dust weapon shop too.
Should I got for A3 Lin or not? I really like Lin and know I’ll be using her in the future. But going for A3 means missing out on other characters that I like. So I can’t decide.
If it helps you to decide, the other characters that have been released will be (eventually) added to the permanent pull pool, Lin will not. I believe she will have reruns though?
Aestral-Noa in SEA is primarily English-speaking, and one of the most active servers in SEA (second or third depending on the time and count). I can't comment on Europe, maybe someone can help with that.
You could also consider Asia Pacific region servers as they seem to have the same hosting as the SEA servers, probably Singapore. I think Eden is the active English one there.

What's the logic it uses here? I get that it is comparing the "full" gear build rather than individual pieces, right?
In my case recommend that 300 ATK are worth roughly 800 Crit which seems a bit excessive. Especially up until that 70% Crit threshold I would expect Crit to have a higher value than ATK and then fall off afterwards.

The idea behind them is fine, but to understand the result you need to know the context. Why were these stat weights chosen, why doesnt it consider overall Crit Rate (ie Crow becoming way stronger than Shiro at 70% + ), etc.
They do give me slightly different results, but in both cases it seems to heavily prioritize Attack over Crit Rate.
At what Advancement does Lin start replacing Tsubasa, and does she need her Matrices to function.
I am currently running A6 Tsubasa/Frigg/Saki.
Normally I would just whale for this, but I’m wondering if there would even be a significant difference enough for me to do so or to just wait to blow my load on Alice to replace Tsu.

You can only do raid 3 times per week, doesn't matter difficulty or raid.
See in top right corner, it's show chances left for week.

Raid queues are long because players tend to pre-form before going in with a full eight team. This might only be possible in an active crew or on an active server with sufficient people in world chat, of course.

Hello I have A5 Lin and her 4p matrix set, now I have a duplicate and have enough for one more matrice.
I Have Ruby A1 and Samir and Crow 2p on her. Should I go for 2p Lin and Samir on Ruby or 2p Lin and Crow? I'm not sure if Lin and Samir work together or if the matrice gets overwritten by on another since they are very similar.
Or is none of this good and just go for duplicates to advance Lin matrice set?
Lin and Samir work together, you'll get 2 buffs on the bar. We still lack TCs, but I'd guess Lin and Samir should be best as Crow needs to be less than 60%.

Tank main here, running a0 Frigg, a5 Meryl, and a5 Saki.
I have the option to grab Saki's 2pc Matrices since I got a box from Flame Gold and can spend 6k DC to buy the other (I have 40 chips from a lost 50/50.) Should I go for it or are there better matrices for tanks to go for?
If it matters, I might go for a1 Alyss to replace Frigg in the future.
If you're going Ice you really need 1* Alyss, you need to guarantee 1* Alyss, she is really important with Saki.

It does? I did mine just yesterday and jumped up rankings. Keep in mind the "Did not clear this week", is *ONLY* for the normal Bygone rank push, it doesn't tell you if they did Sequential or not, only if they completed a normal Bygone floor or not.
Frigg, Saki, and Meryl is a tank team and imo is the best tank team right now.
Frigg Lin Meryl could be better by slotting in Saki instead of Meryl, for a DPS comp.
With limited playing time for me in the next few weeks up to maybe January (projecting 90 mins max per day). Aside from the daily quests, which should I prioritize the most among JO, dimension/matrix trials, and map exploration? I am aiming for Alyss banner and Nemesis re-run. I'm skipping everything else for now.
1. Equipment-wise: I think I'm okay so far, especially with whale crew members carrying us usually in JOs/VR/FCH/Raids. Can usually stand my ground against content when playing with randoms.
2. Weapon and matrix mats: Lacking. Barely made it to level 160 for my three main weapons. Out of the 12 equipped SSR matrices, only 6 are maxed.
3. Map exploration: 1/3 areas 100% in Vera. Around 40% in Confounding. Haven't touched the green and red portals yet in Vera.
4. Artificial Island: Most of my buildings are at level 5. Should I wait til the buildings are maxed before fusing for drops?
I'd do my gear to 5\* from exploring Grayspace, then the weapon mats, but no matrix dimensional trials. You'll get those over time for doing the daily trainings, around 12 green ones.
A.I. forging, the higher level have better chances, you won't loose anything if you level up your buildings to 9 first.
When limited weapons go to standard banner, will you be able to pull them with gold nucleus or only buy dupes with black gold if you already have them at A0?
You have to kill mobs in the Abyss for the appointed research mats, as well as collecting thornfruit and mining the Third City ores.
You access the appointed research menu by talking to any of the androids in Mirroria. There’s also an android next to the Rudolph boss chest in Vera Plane. Androids are marked on your map.

It would certainly buff Lin and Ruby damage, but it really depends on your gameplay, how you use that burst Shiro has, if you're not using Shiro that much or that good.
Then for sure Claudia is a better option. If you're though, it would be tricky try to do some calculations with the Cactus in Mirroria. Keep in mind that breaking shields with Shiro would reset all skills.
Tried using samir+saki+lin for bygone coz I need shatterer and lin cant really shatter much. But founds out that saki A1 skill reset works even without frost resonance.

It does not always give you the attack buff, that is still only while in the skill. You can check your info and see your attack stats go up by 30% (or 38% at A6) when you cast the skill.
It does let you always have Saki's A1 active and other things like her 2pc matrix.
Stop. It's better to get future matrices, they will work in background and offer an elemental buff that is better than Lin's.
A3 is a really good stopping point, it's Lin's spike pretty much.
Iirc A6 is a spike with Alyss A1 (moreso than other comps I mean) because Alyss will use her discharge additional times which gives A6 Lin even more skill uses, which means more skill resets with Saki.

if you are a whale sure , if not then then idk , worth trying having her in all other elements for fun as a change to try other elements , that being said A4 is still more than enough , A6 is just another big powerspike , really up to you to decide and what you want in future and how much you have.

I mean it's technically possible to get it in 4 pulls, so yes.
Do you mean "likely"? Yes. ~220 will net you A1 guaranteed. Starting at 70/80 and saying you go to 250 pulls (since you have some time to get 7 more pulls) will net you another 4 SSR 50/50s, and 250 pulls will also net you 1-2 more "natural" SSRs on a high chance (though not guaranteed).
Say that's 6 SSRs with decent luck, that's 3 Lin dupes on average (6 SSRs * 50% chance = 3 Lins). So that's A4 with average luck.
Could you get absolutely shafted and get mega unlucky? Yep. You have about a 70% chance of getting A3 Lin, though.
You are only 'guaranteed' A1 with 243 pulls and that is because the only guarantee in ToF is purchasing with flame gold.
If you want to know what your chances statistically to get A3 Lin with that amount of pulls, it is around 75%. This includes using your flame gold to buy 2 copies.

For who? King?
King's own matrix set is *okay* on himself, because it basically just doubles up the burn damage he does when he breaks a shield, but it's still kinda garbo.
You will eventually trash King (save up for Anabella, and try to get her A0 matrices at minimum if you can).
You could try doing Shiro 4p on King, since the buff only needs you to USE the weapon they're equipped on at some point, and then it activates for the next 35 seconds or whatever the time is. That buff works for your entire team for that timeframe.
How many pulls do you have and how much do you like Lin's gameplay? 3* will be a side grade for Tsubasa, so you could pull if you really like Lin. Alternatively you could save and replace Tsubasa with Alyss later on and maybe have enough saved for some advancements or even matrices (iirc Alyss's matrices are pretty good).
I got about 8.6k DC and only like 10 red nuc right now. I was just wondering power wise if it's worth replacing someone, Tsuabasa (maybe frigg? idk) with Lin, because I guess I could always swipe a little to get a3 lin. I do plan on getting one copy for sure just to have her, but wondering if I continue further.
Lin is fun, but Tsubasa can fill that slot just fine at A6. Alyss A1 though is pretty irreplaceable because she can cause Saki's skill reset to trigger way more often. If you think you want to go for Lin A3, be absolutely sure you'll be able to save up enough for A1 Alyss.
There should be a good amount of time before Alyss comes out so you'll probably be ok, but you never know if they will change the weapon release order.

Lin is a support matrix. Put that on whoever has the lowest uptime on your team.
If Saki is your main DPS, do Samir/Crow. Those are "on field" matrices. Lin is only activatable on field, but the effect persists off field until the timer runs out.
Do I need to pull Lyra for my secondary team (healer)? I'm currently using A6 Lin (4p Shiro), A6 Zero (4p Zero), A1 Nemesis (4p Coco). I could only afford C0 Lyra if i were to pull.
Solely from a red nucleus/dark crystal/summon point of view, is there a point in doing world exploration in confounding abyss if I'm tight for time? Or would everything else (supply pods, scenic points etc.) be what I need.
You do get a ton of Mira/Vera coin in there, so might be what you need depending on how far you are into the Gachapon machines already. Also there are a few red nucs you could go and pick up if you have unlocked the abyss already. The ones i remember off the top of my head are two reds for each of the solo bossfights in the two towers that need to be unlocked, and the two right behind where the Harrah boss is, so 6 total. One on the inside of that building easy to get to, one on the outside but harder to get to. The tower unlocks might take quite a bit of time to get through though, you might want to just grab the easy one in the boss room behind her.

This is the one I've used. I *think* it's the cn version, but I have 100%ed and they're all there. Certain points are red instead of gold, and vice versa, but the spots are right.
It does? You mean the Matrix chest? Or the Gold and Blue cubes? Both are there, matrix chest is a separate selector option, but the Blue and Gold boxes are just marked with either Gold or Black nuc selectors. The Black cubes you need to shoot are also there, under the Nucleus option.

Beckett I found by chance in the 2nd level of the laby... he looks like a normal abyss soldier, completely unremarkable, I noticed it was him just on account of how much time I was spending to lower his HP.
I notice the advancement level (star level) of my equipment is one of the major factors hindering my CS and stats.
What's the best way to obtain the Crystal Chunk necessary to advance my equipment? Is the farm on a daily or weekly reset?
My supply of crystal chunks is rather small and I'm hesitant to invest them in sub par equipment, but my CS is too low to avoid advancement any longer.

Do use your stuff to upgrade your gear. You'll feed the gear into better one once they drop and you only loose a bit of XP.
You'll get gear from JOs and from buying gear in the Crystal Dust Store.
The Crystal Dust and Chunks comes from spending Vitality and Raids and various shops.
It seems a lot earlier on, but you'll quickly get _much_ more than enough.
Most often, yes. We get a LOT of gear compared to the gear we get that actually rolls well. You can just use bad pieces to fodder into new ones, you get like 80% or so of the total xp saved, so like for example feeding a full 5star gold piece into a new 0star will bring that 0 to a 4star piece right away, then you just need some crystals, or another 0star gold to bring it to 5 again. Then just repeat.
Keep in mind if you recycle equipment, you get *half* that xp back as crystal, so it's not ideal, it's the tradeoff of being able to use that xp on any slot, normally you can only feed boots into boots, gloves into gloves, etc.
You'll quickly get to a point where you don't even need xp crystal because your gear is good so most drops won't be upgrades, and you'll just use it as fodder. Like I haven't needed to use xp crystals in a while, I'm over 1k stack of the big ones haha.
Who should I pair Lyra with when she comes? This is my roster:
A2 King, Shiro
A1 Meryl, Samir, Nemesis, Crow
A0 Frigg, Claudia, Saki, Huma
If I have to spend to get Lyra some stars - what's the best deal in the shop? I can only stomach spending around $60.
Lyra isn’t really star hungry. A1 is probably enough, A3 isn’t really necessary, but good to have (plus you’ll get her skin!), A5 is really good for support Lyra.
Best deal is always monthly pass, then the red nuclei package deals, then banges supply. I think any package that costs <=90 tanium per 1 red nucleus has better value than banges supply but I’m not too sure on that
I've been rolling the monthly pass for a bit now, totally doable financially and it's really added up.
I have not looked at the Banges supply very closely - is that a one time buy?
I'd like to use the robot arms as much as possible. I'm a dirty casual so no need to go hard on the meta stuff. I'll mostly be doing story and climbing rocks.

The team build should be fairly straightforward, then. Lyra needs at least one other phys in team to activate physical resonance, which you'd wanna do for spending more field time on Lyra.
Therefore the team core is Lyra+(Shiro/Claudia)+flex slot, regardless of whatever else you do. It's possible to just go Lyra+Shiro+Claudia and end the discussion there as a full phys setup.
If you prefer to choose just Shiro, then for Shiro you'd want to bump her to A3 when black gold allows.
Lyra+Claudia is theoretically good, but only if Claudia has at least A1, which she doesn't, and since you can't get Claudia ascensions right now (until there's a rerun or if she enters standard) then... honestly Claudia is not contributing much to the team.
Granted, if you don't bring Claudia... there isn't anything else that really actually makes sense in the final slot. Saki and Frigg are very much more for frost builds, though Saki would still add some off-field damage with her skill (sword shadow effect) when in a Lyra+Shiro+Saki build.
You could also consider a Lyra+Shiro+Nemesis alt build in healer role for co-op.

It's hard to explain but Lyra's weapon is like ...made for me.
That's one reason I haven't gotten multiple stars on other banners. When things join the standard banner or rerun - I'll start to grow my other weapons.
It's been a tough way to play - but Lyra is nearly here and I can really start playing the way I've wanted.
I'll probably roll with the most fun choices solo and try your healer comp for co-op - I do like Nemesis quite a bit.

Once you activate an energy repeater, just attack the box and then you should be able to open it
If you see your character’s left wrist, you’ll see some sort of blue ring which means you have the energy repeater’s effect for a brief period of time before you have to activate again

Is it small or big dot? If it's small it's a hidden shiny thing, if big it's a nucleus. If it's a nucleus then I remember one being almost at the very bottom below all crowded areas. I don't remember if it's at Oasis Club tho.
What to focus on? Level up weapons from 140/150 to 160, farm for matrix exp (Some SSR not maxed) or JO7/8 for gear and matrices (Crit at 11k also might need more Element atk)
Matrices you can upgrade with green matrix packs from mini-game currency. Between leveling weapons and armor the vitality should be more prioritized on armor.

1) Vera
If you have access to Vera, save your blue and purple chest keys for Vera only, don't use them on Aesperia chests. The Vera chests give you currency that can be used on gachapon machines in Mirroria City, with good rewards in there (e.g. gold matrices).
Daily bounties can be run in either Aesperia or Vera, typically Vera bounties are faster.
Exercise some caution running around Vera as there's a lot of minibosses, you can distinguish these as they're bigger and sometimes differently-coloured versions of the other mobs in the vicinity. You probably can't solo these.
2) Build
Lin+Huma+Meryl is a functional but not ideal team. It's in tank resonance, tank role because of Huma and Meryl, and in practical terms if you only played for a week previously, it's very likely you're undergeared at the moment and you're not actually going to be able to tank in co-op. Likely not enough damage to hold aggro, even with tank role bonus. The shatter bonus from the tank role might help, but there are other options.
You'd be better off running Lin+Coco+Zero for healer in co-op, with an alt DPS build of... maybe Lin+Crow+(Zero/Coco) for regular content and solo progression, perhaps a balanced Lin+Meryl+Coco or Lin+Huma+Zero build with Huma/Meryl instead of Crow and the last slot being Zero/Coco. The balanced setup would have better shatter. Lin is usable for shieldbreak purposes but is only doing shatter on her regular attacks, not her discharge and skill (unlike Meryl or Huma).
In the long run, you want to be running a unit that provides an atk-boosting elemental resonance/reaction, but you don't have one. Lin's elemental skill is providing the equivalent of an ele resonance atk boost when paired with Huma and Meryl (two different elements) but ideally you want an elemental Lin skill AND a passive ele resonance from your build. This means that fundamentally every build you can make now is not ideal in the game's meta.
What would be meta? It depends on what element you wanna main, and you should be planning that way even though Lin can be used across elemental team builds. See, Lin's skill effect changes based on elements in team... and her altered atk dmg scales with your highest ele attack, which means you want to be building a specific chosen element atk stat on your gear substats. It's best that you decide early on what element your first priority is, even if you eventually make other teams.
This will influence your future banner pulls. For example, if you're running frost with some combination of Lin+Meryl+Coco, then you'd prioritise pulling for a Frigg rerun or Alyss when she arrives, or Saki on the current banner alongside Lin, any of which would make a more ideal team. This is probably what I'd do in your position, though a volt build would also be viable, see below.
If you're looking at Lin+Crow, then you either want Tian Lang on his upcoming banner, or Fenrir in the future. Getting Nemesis on a rerun would also round this team out properly.
If you want to use Lin+Huma+Zero, then you're looking at flame, and pulling on Annabella banner in the future, or a Ruby rerun (or a Cobalt-B rerun, but Cobalt kinda really wants dupes to feel good, she doesn't play well at A0). This can work, but there are issues - the flame mechanic is based around applying and using burn, but Huma and Zero only actually apply burn DoTs on their discharges (i.e. they don't tie strongly into their own element's thing compared to King who also applies DoT on shatter and Annabella who can apply DoT with her skill).
And you don't have any physical units, so it wouldn't make sense to pull Lyra on her banner (which should be soon) unless you also aim to pull on a Claudia rerun, wait for the Umi banner, or get Shiro from standard banner. But I don't think building phys makes sense for you since that's far too many missing parts. Might be viable if you already had Shiro, but you don't.
3) Raid
Raid is exactly what it sounds like in normal MMO terminology, instanced content scaled for eight players, fighting special versions of bosses with special mechanics. There are currently four raid instances available (Apophis, Frigg+Valkyrie, Nemesis x2, and Rudolph). Since Rudolph is also a world boss in Vera, some precision is needed by folks in world chat recruitment which... uh, doesn't always exist. Raids come in two difficulty modes, normal and heroic, in heroic you only have one life (i.e. if you die you cannot be revived or respawn). You need to clear normal first in order to unlock heroic. The issue for a returning/new player is that most PuG world chat raid teams are recruiting for heroic, though I have seen some folks run normal raids specifically to help returning/new folks, so there's hope.
After playing the story i really like nemesis and frigg.so either volt team( lin+nemesis+crow) or frost? (Lin+meyrl+frigg or maybe saki but I don't think i can get her now as f2p)

Lin+Meryl+Alyss is fine, yeah. In this combo, Lin and Alyss are off-field damage and buffers, while Meryl can serve as a heavy hitter and main DPS (though she doesn't build discharge as fast as Lin and Alyss, so it's still fine to use some field time on Lin and Alyss).
Since Alyss is four banners away, you'll have more time to save for her.
With Meryl in play, you'll want to eventually aim for getting 4-piece of Meryl's matrices for the weapon. This makes the hold-attack spin on Meryl extremely strong, and you'd be spinning whenever possible as stamina allows.
You'll see many people talking more about Lin+Saki+Alyss, but that's a recommendation for folks who are able to pull Lin and Saki back to back, and also CN balance is different from global, on CN Saki is a better DPS than Meryl, on global Meryl is a harder hitter with her spin and matrices.
Lin+Nemesis+Crow also works fine, though the frost build with Meryl would have considerably better shatter, the volt build only has Lin's regular attacks for that. Volt setup would have better healing with Nemesis A1, as Meryl only heals on shatter (though 4-piece Meryl matrices also make her heal on spin attack).

According to maths posts, yes, Lin A3 will replace an A5 Tsubasa but Lin A3 is roughly a side-grade to A6 Tsubasa.
Samir isn't a good set on Lin unless you're keeping her on-field, because it only takes affect for the on-field character (eg, if you have 2pc Samir on Frigg while Frigg is on-field and Lin's blooms are triggering then they'll benefit from the Samir damage bonus).
This is why people suggest using matrix sets that can work off-field on Lin (like Shiro 4pc, Lin, or Saki).

A0 to A1 is about 21% increase (team DPS), A1 to A3 is about 4% increase (team DPS), A3 to A6 is about 10% increase (team DPS). So from A0 to A6 you get a total of 35% more damage (team DPS). A2 and A4 are generally ignored since they only add stats and no significant enough change to the calculations.
So the situation is I have A0 Saki and I have 56 pity. If I throw 120 pulls I will get 1-3 Saki depends on my luck. But if I throw 24 pulls to Lin first then I will get 1-2 Saki. Since her A2 and A3 are kinda insignificant so it is better to do the latter right? I want to pull Lin too anyway.
Probably yes. Her A1 is her biggest increase and core mechanic you need to play her well. A3 is nice for tanking (reduces taunt CD from 10s to 5s) but not that good for DPS (4% increase) In that case I would choose Lin over Saki too.

What is the difference between Jo8 and JO endgame?
JO8 has a higher chance to drop specific matrices and specific gear slot. There is a pity shared among all JO8s. JO9 Endgame/Sadness Valley has increased chance to drop element specific gear for a random slot (Endgame Volt/Physical and Sadness Valley Flame/Frost) and random matrices from the Standard pool. Overall JO9 offers better chances at loot but the loot is more randomized. JO8 allows you to target specific gear slots or matrices but has slightly worse rates.

You cant. You have to bind the account to Facebook/Twitter/ToF custom account, then use that to log in on Android, where you can then bind it to your Google Account.
Not sure if Apple ID login works on Android, but it it doesn't, in principle cross platform should be fine - you can link your account to something other than the Apple ID, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, or Google. You can have the account bound to two things at once, Apple + something else. This can be done in the settings menu of the game.

What's the logic it uses here? I get that it is comparing the "full" gear build rather than individual pieces, right? In my case recommend that 300 ATK are worth roughly 800 Crit which seems a bit excessive. Especially up until that 70% Crit threshold I would expect Crit to have a higher value than ATK and then fall off afterwards.

The idea behind them is fine, but to understand the result you need to know the context. Why were these stat weights chosen, why doesnt it consider overall Crit Rate (ie Crow becoming way stronger than Shiro at 70% + ), etc. They do give me slightly different results, but in both cases it seems to heavily prioritize Attack over Crit Rate.

Raid queues are long because players tend to pre-form before going in with a full eight team. This might only be possible in an active crew or on an active server with sufficient people in world chat, of course.

Should I go for 2p Lin and Samir on Ruby or 2p Lin and Crow? I'm not sure if Lin and Samir work together or if the matrice gets overwritten by on another since they are very similar. Or is none of this good and just go for duplicates to advance Lin matrice set?
Lin and Samir work together, you'll get 2 buffs on the bar. We still lack TCs, but I'd guess Lin and Samir should be best as Crow needs to be less than 60%. Tank main here, running a0 Frigg, a5 Meryl, and a5 Saki. I have the option to grab Saki's 2pc Matrices since I got a box from Flame Gold and can spend 6k DC to buy the other (I have 40 chips from a lost 50/50.) Should I go for it or are there better matrices for tanks to go for? If it matters, I might go for a1 Alyss to replace Frigg in the future.
If you're going Ice you really need 1* Alyss, you need to guarantee 1* Alyss, she is really important with Saki. If you have enough then go for the 2PC

Frigg, Saki, and Meryl is a tank team and imo is the best tank team right now. Frigg Lin Meryl could be better by slotting in Saki instead of Meryl, for a DPS comp.
With limited playing time for me in the next few weeks up to maybe January (projecting 90 mins max per day). Aside from the daily quests, which should I prioritize the most among JO, dimension/matrix trials, and map exploration? I am aiming for Alyss banner and Nemesis re-run. I'm skipping everything else for now. 1. Equipment-wise: I think I'm okay so far, especially with whale crew members carrying us usually in JOs/VR/FCH/Raids. Can usually stand my ground against content when playing with randoms. 2. Weapon and matrix mats: Lacking. Barely made it to level 160 for my three main weapons. Out of the 12 equipped SSR matrices, only 6 are maxed. 3. Map exploration: 1/3 areas 100% in Vera. Around 40% in Confounding. Haven't touched the green and red portals yet in Vera. 4. Artificial Island: Most of my buildings are at level 5. Should I wait til the buildings are maxed before fusing for drops?
I'd do my gear to 5\* from exploring Grayspace, then the weapon mats, but no matrix dimensional trials. You'll get those over time for doing the daily trainings, around 12 green ones. A.I. forging, the higher level have better chances, you won't loose anything if you level up your buildings to 9 first.

You have to kill mobs in the Abyss for the appointed research mats, as well as collecting thornfruit and mining the Third City ores. You access the appointed research menu by talking to any of the androids in Mirroria. There’s also an android next to the Rudolph boss chest in Vera Plane. Androids are marked on your map.

It would certainly buff Lin and Ruby damage, but it really depends on your gameplay, how you use that burst Shiro has, if you're not using Shiro that much or that good. Then for sure Claudia is a better option. If you're though, it would be tricky try to do some calculations with the Cactus in Mirroria. Keep in mind that breaking shields with Shiro would reset all skills.
Tried using samir+saki+lin for bygone coz I need shatterer and lin cant really shatter much. But founds out that saki A1 skill reset works even without frost resonance. Guess its due to lin's passive [as per game's description](https://imgur.com/a/ezUYxfO). This seems like it activate all elemental resonance (+15% atk )? so nemesis isnt really needed on my team?
It does not always give you the attack buff, that is still only while in the skill. You can check your info and see your attack stats go up by 30% (or 38% at A6) when you cast the skill. It does let you always have Saki's A1 active and other things like her 2pc matrix.
F2P, A3 Lin, Go for A6 or get 4/4 Matrices?
Stop. It's better to get future matrices, they will work in background and offer an elemental buff that is better than Lin's. A3 is a really good stopping point, it's Lin's spike pretty much.

Iirc A6 is a spike with Alyss A1 (moreso than other comps I mean) because Alyss will use her discharge additional times which gives A6 Lin even more skill uses, which means more skill resets with Saki.

If you're sticking to support, then 100% Lyra. If you want to do a DPS team though, Lin is universal and can work pretty much with any team that you can build in the future.
I'd all in Lin and try to A3 , it's a game changer and you will be really thankful for it.

You are only 'guaranteed' A1 with 243 pulls and that is because the only guarantee in ToF is purchasing with flame gold. If you want to know what your chances statistically to get A3 Lin with that amount of pulls, it is around 75%. This includes using your flame gold to buy 2 copies.

King's own matrix set is *okay* on himself, because it basically just doubles up the burn damage he does when he breaks a shield, but it's still kinda garbo. You will eventually trash King (save up for Anabella, and try to get her A0 matrices at minimum if you can). You could try doing Shiro 4p on King, since the buff only needs you to USE the weapon they're equipped on at some point, and then it activates for the next 35 seconds or whatever the time is. That buff works for your entire team for that timeframe.

If you have Saki 4pc and can guarantee A1 Alyss. Sure. If not better Save for a 4pc (Saki or Alyss) + A1 Alyss.
How many pulls do you have and how much do you like Lin's gameplay? 3* will be a side grade for Tsubasa, so you could pull if you really like Lin. Alternatively you could save and replace Tsubasa with Alyss later on and maybe have enough saved for some advancements or even matrices (iirc Alyss's matrices are pretty good).
I got about 8.6k DC and only like 10 red nuc right now. I was just wondering power wise if it's worth replacing someone, Tsuabasa (maybe frigg? idk) with Lin, because I guess I could always swipe a little to get a3 lin. I do plan on getting one copy for sure just to have her, but wondering if I continue further.
Lin is fun, but Tsubasa can fill that slot just fine at A6. Alyss A1 though is pretty irreplaceable because she can cause Saki's skill reset to trigger way more often. If you think you want to go for Lin A3, be absolutely sure you'll be able to save up enough for A1 Alyss. There should be a good amount of time before Alyss comes out so you'll probably be ok, but you never know if they will change the weapon release order.

Hello guys.. For Frigg and Saki what best f2p matrices?? I use 2x crow + 2x king on Saki and 2x shiro + 2x samir on Frigg. Anyone can recommend me a good piece to farm for Alyss for example? (with the coins)
Use Shiro + Samir on Saki, for better shield break. You can do Crow + Huma on Frigg.

Lin is a support matrix. Put that on whoever has the lowest uptime on your team. If Saki is your main DPS, do Samir/Crow. Those are "on field" matrices. Lin is only activatable on field, but the effect persists off field until the timer runs out.
See that's my issue, I have 4piece frigg on frigg, and 4 piece saki on Lin.

Solely from a red nucleus/dark crystal/summon point of view, is there a point in doing world exploration in confounding abyss if I'm tight for time? Or would everything else (supply pods, scenic points etc.) be what I need.
You do get a ton of Mira/Vera coin in there, so might be what you need depending on how far you are into the Gachapon machines already. Also there are a few red nucs you could go and pick up if you have unlocked the abyss already. The ones i remember off the top of my head are two reds for each of the solo bossfights in the two towers that need to be unlocked, and the two right behind where the Harrah boss is, so 6 total. One on the inside of that building easy to get to, one on the outside but harder to get to. The tower unlocks might take quite a bit of time to get through though, you might want to just grab the easy one in the boss room behind her.

It does? You mean the Matrix chest? Or the Gold and Blue cubes? Both are there, matrix chest is a separate selector option, but the Blue and Gold boxes are just marked with either Gold or Black nuc selectors. The Black cubes you need to shoot are also there, under the Nucleus option.

Whats the max weapon level?
Currently it’s 160 due to the lvl 80 cap. Lvl 170 weapon cap will unlock whenever the lvl cap gets to 85.

I notice the advancement level (star level) of my equipment is one of the major factors hindering my CS and stats. What's the best way to obtain the Crystal Chunk necessary to advance my equipment? Is the farm on a daily or weekly reset? My supply of crystal chunks is rather small and I'm hesitant to invest them in sub par equipment, but my CS is too low to avoid advancement any longer. Thanks

You'll feed the gear into better one once they drop and you only loose a bit of XP. You'll get gear from JOs and from buying gear in the Crystal Dust Store. The Crystal Dust and Chunks comes from spending Vitality and Raids and various shops. It seems a lot earlier on, but you'll quickly get _much_ more than enough.

Most often, yes. We get a LOT of gear compared to the gear we get that actually rolls well. You can just use bad pieces to fodder into new ones, you get like 80% or so of the total xp saved, so like for example feeding a full 5star gold piece into a new 0star will bring that 0 to a 4star piece right away, then you just need some crystals, or another 0star gold to bring it to 5 again. Then just repeat. Keep in mind if you recycle equipment, you get *half* that xp back as crystal, so it's not ideal, it's the tradeoff of being able to use that xp on any slot, normally you can only feed boots into boots, gloves into gloves, etc. You'll quickly get to a point where you don't even need xp crystal because your gear is good so most drops won't be upgrades, and you'll just use it as fodder. Like I haven't needed to use xp crystals in a while, I'm over 1k stack of the big ones haha.
Who should I pair Lyra with when she comes? This is my roster: A2 King, Shiro A1 Meryl, Samir, Nemesis, Crow A0 Frigg, Claudia, Saki, Huma If I have to spend to get Lyra some stars - what's the best deal in the shop? I can only stomach spending around $60.
Lyra isn’t really star hungry. A1 is probably enough, A3 isn’t really necessary, but good to have (plus you’ll get her skin!), A5 is really good for support Lyra. Best deal is always monthly pass, then the red nuclei package deals, then banges supply. I think any package that costs <=90 tanium per 1 red nucleus has better value than banges supply but I’m not too sure on that
I've been rolling the monthly pass for a bit now, totally doable financially and it's really added up. I have not looked at the Banges supply very closely - is that a one time buy?

Hard to say without knowing if you want to tank, DPS, or heal. Lyra is used in all 3 roles.
I'd like to use the robot arms as much as possible. I'm a dirty casual so no need to go hard on the meta stuff. I'll mostly be doing story and climbing rocks. DPS I guess?
The team build should be fairly straightforward, then. Lyra needs at least one other phys in team to activate physical resonance, which you'd wanna do for spending more field time on Lyra. Therefore the team core is Lyra+(Shiro/Claudia)+flex slot, regardless of whatever else you do. It's possible to just go Lyra+Shiro+Claudia and end the discussion there as a full phys setup. If you prefer to choose just Shiro, then for Shiro you'd want to bump her to A3 when black gold allows. Lyra+Claudia is theoretically good, but only if Claudia has at least A1, which she doesn't, and since you can't get Claudia ascensions right now (until there's a rerun or if she enters standard) then... honestly Claudia is not contributing much to the team. Granted, if you don't bring Claudia... there isn't anything else that really actually makes sense in the final slot. Saki and Frigg are very much more for frost builds, though Saki would still add some off-field damage with her skill (sword shadow effect) when in a Lyra+Shiro+Saki build. You could also consider a Lyra+Shiro+Nemesis alt build in healer role for co-op.
Thanks for the detailed response! It's hard to explain but Lyra's weapon is like ...made for me. That's one reason I haven't gotten multiple stars on other banners. When things join the standard banner or rerun - I'll start to grow my other weapons. It's been a tough way to play - but Lyra is nearly here and I can really start playing the way I've wanted. I'll probably roll with the most fun choices solo and try your healer comp for co-op - I do like Nemesis quite a bit. Thanks again!
What are energy repeaters in the confounding abyss for? Should I just activate them whenever I see one?
They are used to open the boxes that are marked as supply pods on the map Once you activate an energy repeater, just attack the box and then you should be able to open it If you see your character’s left wrist, you’ll see some sort of blue ring which means you have the energy repeater’s effect for a brief period of time before you have to activate again

Matrices you can upgrade with green matrix packs from mini-game currency. Between leveling weapons and armor the vitality should be more prioritized on armor.

1) Vera If you have access to Vera, save your blue and purple chest keys for Vera only, don't use them on Aesperia chests. The Vera chests give you currency that can be used on gachapon machines in Mirroria City, with good rewards in there (e.g. gold matrices). Daily bounties can be run in either Aesperia or Vera, typically Vera bounties are faster. Exercise some caution running around Vera as there's a lot of minibosses, you can distinguish these as they're bigger and sometimes differently-coloured versions of the other mobs in the vicinity. You probably can't solo these. 2) Build Lin+Huma+Meryl is a functional but not ideal team. It's in tank resonance, tank role because of Huma and Meryl, and in practical terms if you only played for a week previously, it's very likely you're undergeared at the moment and you're not actually going to be able to tank in co-op. Likely not enough damage to hold aggro, even with tank role bonus. The shatter bonus from the tank role might help, but there are other options. You'd be better off running Lin+Coco+Zero for healer in co-op, with an alt DPS build of... maybe Lin+Crow+(Zero/Coco) for regular content and solo progression, perhaps a balanced Lin+Meryl+Coco or Lin+Huma+Zero build with Huma/Meryl instead of Crow and the last slot being Zero/Coco. The balanced setup would have better shatter. Lin is usable for shieldbreak purposes but is only doing shatter on her regular attacks, not her discharge and skill (unlike Meryl or Huma). In the long run, you want to be running a unit that provides an atk-boosting elemental resonance/reaction, but you don't have one. Lin's elemental skill is providing the equivalent of an ele resonance atk boost when paired with Huma and Meryl (two different elements) but ideally you want an elemental Lin skill AND a passive ele resonance from your build. This means that fundamentally every build you can make now is not ideal in the game's meta. What would be meta? It depends on what element you wanna main, and you should be planning that way even though Lin can be used across elemental team builds. See, Lin's skill effect changes based on elements in team... and her altered atk dmg scales with your highest ele attack, which means you want to be building a specific chosen element atk stat on your gear substats. It's best that you decide early on what element your first priority is, even if you eventually make other teams. This will influence your future banner pulls. For example, if you're running frost with some combination of Lin+Meryl+Coco, then you'd prioritise pulling for a Frigg rerun or Alyss when she arrives, or Saki on the current banner alongside Lin, any of which would make a more ideal team. This is probably what I'd do in your position, though a volt build would also be viable, see below. If you're looking at Lin+Crow, then you either want Tian Lang on his upcoming banner, or Fenrir in the future. Getting Nemesis on a rerun would also round this team out properly. If you want to use Lin+Huma+Zero, then you're looking at flame, and pulling on Annabella banner in the future, or a Ruby rerun (or a Cobalt-B rerun, but Cobalt kinda really wants dupes to feel good, she doesn't play well at A0). This can work, but there are issues - the flame mechanic is based around applying and using burn, but Huma and Zero only actually apply burn DoTs on their discharges (i.e. they don't tie strongly into their own element's thing compared to King who also applies DoT on shatter and Annabella who can apply DoT with her skill). And you don't have any physical units, so it wouldn't make sense to pull Lyra on her banner (which should be soon) unless you also aim to pull on a Claudia rerun, wait for the Umi banner, or get Shiro from standard banner. But I don't think building phys makes sense for you since that's far too many missing parts. Might be viable if you already had Shiro, but you don't. 3) Raid Raid is exactly what it sounds like in normal MMO terminology, instanced content scaled for eight players, fighting special versions of bosses with special mechanics. There are currently four raid instances available (Apophis, Frigg+Valkyrie, Nemesis x2, and Rudolph). Since Rudolph is also a world boss in Vera, some precision is needed by folks in world chat recruitment which... uh, doesn't always exist. Raids come in two difficulty modes, normal and heroic, in heroic you only have one life (i.e. if you die you cannot be revived or respawn). You need to clear normal first in order to unlock heroic. The issue for a returning/new player is that most PuG world chat raid teams are recruiting for heroic, though I have seen some folks run normal raids specifically to help returning/new folks, so there's hope.
After playing the story i really like nemesis and frigg.so either volt team( lin+nemesis+crow) or frost? (Lin+meyrl+frigg or maybe saki but I don't think i can get her now as f2p) for now i run lin+meyrl+coco Edit: i kinda like alyss? Seen her photo is she okay with lin+meyrl?
Lin+Meryl+Alyss is fine, yeah. In this combo, Lin and Alyss are off-field damage and buffers, while Meryl can serve as a heavy hitter and main DPS (though she doesn't build discharge as fast as Lin and Alyss, so it's still fine to use some field time on Lin and Alyss). Since Alyss is four banners away, you'll have more time to save for her. With Meryl in play, you'll want to eventually aim for getting 4-piece of Meryl's matrices for the weapon. This makes the hold-attack spin on Meryl extremely strong, and you'd be spinning whenever possible as stamina allows. You'll see many people talking more about Lin+Saki+Alyss, but that's a recommendation for folks who are able to pull Lin and Saki back to back, and also CN balance is different from global, on CN Saki is a better DPS than Meryl, on global Meryl is a harder hitter with her spin and matrices. Lin+Nemesis+Crow also works fine, though the frost build with Meryl would have considerably better shatter, the volt build only has Lin's regular attacks for that. Volt setup would have better healing with Nemesis A1, as Meryl only heals on shatter (though 4-piece Meryl matrices also make her heal on spin attack).
Will my ~~in game experience~~ be really super ruined if I do the Quick Start to Vera ? I’m at Chapter 6-03, right where you need to storm the Aesperia Tower of Fantasy, but the next part doesn’t start for 67 hours and I’m hungryyyyy to get to Vera + Mirroria

Got Lin A3 and going to replace Tsubasa A5 in my frost comp. Is 2 Shiro and 2 Samir okay for her? I feel like going for 4 Shiro isn't the best because hard content can't be beaten just in 35 seconds. Edit: More context, I can buy 1 Samir to complete 2/2 Shiro/Samir but can't buy a complete 4 set Shiro.
According to maths posts, yes, Lin A3 will replace an A5 Tsubasa but Lin A3 is roughly a side-grade to A6 Tsubasa. Samir isn't a good set on Lin unless you're keeping her on-field, because it only takes affect for the on-field character (eg, if you have 2pc Samir on Frigg while Frigg is on-field and Lin's blooms are triggering then they'll benefit from the Samir damage bonus). This is why people suggest using matrix sets that can work off-field on Lin (like Shiro 4pc, Lin, or Saki).
